The other day I dropped my phone in some bushes face down. When I recovered it, it was hot from sun exposure. It was hot enough that CPU tuner entered extreme powersaver for the battery hot trigger. Now my display has this strange tealish cyan color where light colors, especially white, should be. It makes everything look screwed up. Otherwise, the phone works perfectly. I reflashed cm twice, however, even the screen with HTC in the center that shows before the cm splash screen on boot is all teal-ish. So I don't think its the rom. Any ideas? This is reply obnoxious.

Yeah just looked again not much help though. One guy sent sent his phone to HTC but I'd like to try and fix it myself and I can't go two weeks with no phone. Im just looking for opinions as to whether or not it is an LCD screen issue or a cable issue etc. If its one of those, I'll just fix it myself.

Is any one facing thia problem in the lacked versions of Jelly Bean. Yellow tint that almost came at above 45 degrees now appears at less than 40 degrees

Seems like that is not how the screen originally was. I have it too while it was fine on ics. Use the white balance app and set saturation to 9.3 and hue to 225 and enjoy almost perfect whites.

...which get disabled after you unlock the screen. The white balance is not working. It needs kernel tweaking to work and for that we need kernel sources, which Sony has not released yet.

Yes, I thought everybody knew that and I didn't mention it. It's just a temporary solution.

This is a hardware issue isn't it? Something to do with the glue in the screen?

Yes. Initial units had that problem, but from W16 and beyond, no more problems.

Ditto.
I have the same issue and wonder if its related to OS version. I never saw that problem when on 4.1.2 but being on 4.2.2, the Instagram filter always had that problem.
Need to ask Devs about that.....
Confirmed (or at the least)
I have an S3 with OS 4.1.1 and there is no Glitch with Instagram.

When i had my S2 a day ago and it was onn4.2.2 i did not experience this problem.. just got on my coworkers s4 to see if he had the same problem on his stock phone andbhe does.. maybe its just the s4?

I believe it's the size of the picture, mind you our S4 has a 13mp camera, takes 9mp by default which is still higher than the normal standard, try editing a smaller picture like one not taking from your s4 and see if the filters work correctly.
Edit: actually I'm not experiencing any glitch with any size picture.
Edit 2: ok I had it wrong its that one hdr type button that causes the picture to glitch, the normal filters work but not with that button enabled, an iG update will probably fix that.

So, i love my note 3, so far. I rooted and installed Ds rom and l love it. Everything works perfectly, except for one thing my display is auto brightness itself!! I have auto brightness off, I have dynamic mode checked, and smart screen setting turn off.
Every time I start to play need of speed most wanted, it starts to auto bright itself!! :banghead:
Check out download the game and see if it happens to you!

It happens on mine too. It's a Touchwiz thing because it also happened on my S4. But once I installed CM10 on it that issue went away. I know it's annoying.

Theres nothing you can do about it , its a feature in the kernel called brite and it happened on the S4 also. A dev is gonna have to make a kernel with it disabled. Its there so when the phone gets warm or hot it dims the screen automatically until phone cools back down and then full brightness comes back. There have been a couple threads on this already and i even took my first Note back and exchanged it and the second one does it too. Its software related hopefully samsung will release an update to take this feature out

Yeah i unchecked everything and anything that had to do with auto-brightness and it seems to happen less now. Its just annoying i think its also in there to help preserve battery life but i bought this phone for the big bright screen hopefully a DEV will fix it with a custom stock kernel

I think that's good news about my phone. I thought my was defective or something like that...
I did try lux and a brighter note apps, to see if that would fix the issue, but it didn't.

Yep it's normal. Nothing you can do except keep the temp under 90F. LOL I went crazy trying to figure it out myself. Once the temp gets over 90 for me, it starts auto dimming even with everything disabled for auto-screen brightness.
Hi!
I have a Tab 3 8" that was referbished. I'm about out of my 90 day warranty. I've noticed a break-up or flicker of the image, mostly bottom 1/3rd of screen. some times full screen. I can't replicate it by twisting the screen. It happens infrequently, but I have not determined any factors that can cause it.
Anyone else experience this?
This is not a backlight flicker, it is image based.
Thanks
ax
I had a similar problem with my old phone after flashing so many different firmwares like a nutter, but I never worked out if the problem was software or hardware?!

Got a similar problem with the tab 3 7". But it might be backlight flickering here. Its always the whole screen that flickers. I can sometimes reproduce it in low light situations (at night) if I turn automatic brightness on.

I did not send it back for warranty. I think it is Cyanogen mod. I see it most often just after a large jpg draws in. usually bottom quarter. Have not tried another rom yet.

Have you tried flash the Blackhawk kernel 2.1? I solved this problem doing this or I think this was my solution
