Hi. You can only root the OnePlus3 if your bootloader is unlocked. Sorry :/

You need to unlock bootloader to root but there is also a non root way to fix ram. I just don't remember how but you need adb shell for that.

Here at work we are gonna receive some Galaxy tab 3 10.1 tablets.
As known, the software on this tablet doesn't support multi-users. (android 4.2.2)
There is an app to do this (Multiple User Enabler or switchme), but this requires ROOT acces. I can't do that, because the tablet isn't mine. I don't want to take the risk to break it.
Does anyone know wich other options there are to do this?
Seen 3 multi-user apps and all require Root rights. I guess there's no option without root.

I'd be interested in a non root multiuser app for Tab10.1 aswell

It probably will never work without root!
It needes to change system files else you wont be able to switch anyhow...
The software doesnt support multi-user, so how would you want to change the software? Yup by rooting else you wont have access.

Have you tried stump root? This won't brick your phone, just won't work if not compatible.

Says incompatible as its a Chinese version lol
Bump, anyone has any idea on this Chinese phonw? Can't seem to get the common root tools provided to work
Towelroot..works on many devices. Won't hurt to try. Just Google it. Open it and hit button. Its apk. Its fast. If your phone doesn't reboot automatically it worked. Then reboot and check. Let me know.

Stump won't root your G3? I thought it definitely rooted all our G3s. Does it just say it's incompatible? I'd go to the Stump thread and ask there, if that's true I'm sure JCase would like to know if he doesn't already.

Hi all
I bought phone a week ago , 502k serie
I have problem with front camera. It makes photos very smooth even when i make smoothness slider to 0 . Is there anyway to completely close it. Or to fix this problem.
Here an example
Looks like only I have this problem which means my camera is not working well

1) Root your phone. No, don't ask me how, there are detailed gudes in "General" section.
2) Open /etc/camera_config.xml in any text editor and change the value of "beautyshot_supported" to false. The problem is clearly software one, this method should completely disable smoothing.

Thanks mate , thats good. I know how to root but i am not sure about it right now. I just bought it and i dont want to lose warranty very early.
So I guess it is not possible to reach that config file without root ?

Hey guys, I have the 550ML (which for some reason is showing as the z00AD for XDA). Is it possible to root it? I haven't rooted a phone in awhile, and wanted to know if there is a universal lollipop root or do I have to wait for something down the line.

Also, you are one of the luck few to get it so early. People around the globe are still waiting, hold on for a little while and things will start popping up here.
I am waiting with my asus zenfone2 (ze551ml).... searching over n over... I wish devs will find a way for us... best of luck..

Find the pre-rooted image yourself
What if I root my phone and did not use any custom rom, will it still update the phone? like the system and UI. thank you

Flashing the pre-rooted rom isn't a custom rom...
I have my bootloader unlocked so this may affect things too but I just reflash the last pre-rooted rom then update over OTA. Never had a bootloop problem.
So saying it is generally advised to remove root/xposed and busybox, anything that alters the system image really, before doing an OTA update..

Thanks!
