I created a thread on Mobile GO's forums but I probably have a better chance of getting help here.
I need to restore my phone with a backup I took with Wondershare MobileGO application on PC. However I keep getting prompted with the screen telling me to turn on USB debugging. I tried restarting my phone & PC, different USB splots, and toggling USB debugging on and off.
Any ideas?

I had this same problem: couldn't restore because MobileGo kept insisting USB debugging wasn't turned on. However, I found a fix. Instead of using the "Data Recovery" button on the home screen, I went to the "Super Toolkit" tab and selected the "Restore" button under "Essentials" and it worked like a charm!

I saw in the notes that this might be a problem, and to reboot. Tried rebooting phone, power off phone, reboot pc, power off pc. When I click Connect USB Storage nothing happens. Any thoughts? Thanks
Try to re-flash the ROM. I just did the 1.1.1 update from 1.1.0 and i tested my usb mass storage works.
Or go to settings, applications, development, and check usb debugging

This is a known problem when usb debugging is not checked. If you check usb debugging you can then successfully mount the sd card for usb transferring.
To do that go to settings > applications > development
Then check the box next to "USB debugging"
Qb is right very odd I always had to turn off debug to get into the sdcard

Airplane mode enabled/disabled
after installing this ROM correctly I might add, no service is available due to airplane mode disabling and re-enabling itself over and over again. I'v re flashed, reinstalled, re downloaded, and used oden to recover back to factory multiple times and this problem keeps coming back. I'm using the original stock factory ROM atm, and would really like to fix this problem since i'v been a dedicated Syndicate fan for over a year now (new member to xda due to this problem)
I have this issue after ~5 flashes of v1.1.1. Ranging from data wiping all the way to odin to EC05 and back, but still have the issue. I've given up trying to fix it and just enabled debugging.
You can try enabling usb debugging, or try bluetooth file transfer or the app Samba filesharing.
I have had this phone for only two days now. My previous phone was an EVO. I got my Epic 4G Touch via a trade and there is one thing that I cant figure out... and feel quite silly asking the question.
When I plug the phone into my PC via USB, I do not get an option or prompt to choose whether to connect as a hard drive / charge only / or tether my internet connection like I did on my EVO. It seems that it only allows me to connect in charge only mode. I have been unable to find an option to choose to connect as a hard drive in the settings menu.
Any help with this solution will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Robert
Ok, enabling the USB debugging and then unplugging and plugging in the USB fired up those settings, but it did not find drivers for:
CDC Serial or SAMSUNG_Android... I am going to search the forum for that answer.
Settings>Wireless and Networks>USB Utilities. That's how you get to USB mode. But yes debugging mode also works. But once you plug your phone in the mtp mode should connect. You can also access media on PC that way and ur sd card is still accessible thru phone, unless you're actively syncing something then you get the sync screen.

Thanks for the reply folks. I had me EVO so long that I forgot about enabling debugging mode. I did that and I finally got the drop down menu to enable me to use the phone as a hard drive.
My issue now is that I cannot seem to get two drivers to install correctly. I read through many posts, both here and ones I found via google, that suggested that I install Kais from Samsung's website to fix the driver issue. I did that, and applied all of the updates to the program that were available, and I am still getting the error saying that those drivers did not install correctly. I can browse the SD card now that Kais Air is installed, but I am still having the driver issue in device manager.
I am not sure where these drivers can be obtained...

Other than Kies, your pc should install drivers upon connecting phone. I've had this happen before. I uninstalled the drivers I found via google, restarted my pc, reconnected my device and it immediately began downloading proper drivers. I was good to go from then on.
You may wanna try, once device is connected to pc to
-go to start menu
-computer, and see if your device is there
Okay so I want to manually update to 4.4 (I have the normal 4.2.2 for this model). So first I connect my phone to my laptop to create a backup just in case something goes wrong. And SURPRISE! USB Device Not Recognized. Tried changing the port, the wire, restarting the phone, the laptop, no change. The USB notification is also not showing on the phone, it just sees it as regular charging.
I never had this problem before... I even used USB debugging several times. I thought maybe somehow the settings changed and it's no longer set to MTP. So I go to my phone's settings and can't find the USB settings to check. Looked it up online, they are supposed to be under storage when I press the menu button. I press it and nothing happens, and the USB connection settings are nowhere to be found.
Any ideas?
Have you tried to install your phone's USB driver in your computer?

1. Turn on USB debugging
2. Upgrade to the newest version of Kies
3. Ensure it connects as MTP [media device] not PTP [camera]
Hi,
i have rooted my Pixel 3 XL without problems.
TWRP & MAgisk is installed.
Now i wanted to disable the new gestures as described here:
https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-android-pie-gestures-google-pixel-3/
unfortunately, the USB Debugging does not stay on.
Also titanium backup always complains about this.
When i enable USB Debugging, i see for a few seconds some "le Mobile android device", but disappeared immediately after.
USB drivers are installed.
Any idea?
Thanks
Btw: adb devices shows me my device in recovery when in TWRP. So cable seems to be ok. (anyway, i installed everything with this cable).

Assuming you have enabled USB debugging in Dev settings. You've somehow got the wrong drivers installed. Use a program called USBDeview To remove all the Google related drivers on your PC/Laptop and reinstall the Google USB drivers. There are tutorials out there for step by step, but for some reason your drivers are wrong.
I confirm, Dev options are enabled, so also USB debugging.
Unfortunately when i enable USB debugging (WITHOUT CABLE), go back, and enter again in the Dev options menu, the USB debugging is disabled again..
But nevertheless i reinstalled the drivers as you wrote -> same problem.
I think the problem is the Pixel, not windows, as everything went fine while rooting the device. (usb debugging was active).
Solved!
My fault, enabled by mistake in Cerberus App the "prevent USB Debugging" option!
Should work now
My windows 10 PC only recognizes my P6P when I have usb debugging turned on. I can turn usb debugging off and it's not recognized, tried a reboot and still have to have usb debugging on to transfer files via usb cable. Not really a problem as I don't mind usb debugging on all the time but just wondering if there's a solution with it off. Seems to be the only issue I've found in 7-8 days of use.

From what i have seen even with android Auto have to have debugging turned on and have to go way down list to enable data. Default is no data. No reason to ever turn off debugging. mine has been on since around 2010.
Go into system devices in win 10, (I never got passed 7 x64 lol) with fone usb debugging turned off, what devices have an exclamation mark?
Then turn on usb debugging while viewing system hardware devices to spot any changes..?
In dev options, in fone, or wherever it is in yours, check usb settings, you know, where you can set usb to mtp, or file transfer etc... check those settings.
edit, and one question, if usb debugging is turned off, can you still charge fone from pc?

Yes, that's always the first thing I turn on but just thought it odd that it has to be on to transfer files.
