Hi there,
I've changed the font with iFont, but the words which are in bold, don't change. I've tried with several apps with no luck. Is there a fix? I use "comfortaa" font, but I've tried some other with no luck again.
Thanks..
Update..
After many tries, I found a solution..
It's the "Roboto-Medium.ttf" that must be changed by hand. So I renamed the "Comfortaa-Bold.ttf" to "Roboto-Medium.ttf" and replaced it, under /System/Fonts.
Great discovery! Worked for me!!

A day or two ago, the TitaniumWeather tab I have installed has stopped working. Instead of getting the weather, it goes from "Connecting to Accuweather... Applying Update... Updated [time]". It is no longer fetching the weather - I just get a big red X icon.
Nothing has changed on my HD - I'm thinking perhaps Accuweather have changed their system? I've tried a soft reset... I guess I should try reinstalling it, too.
Anyone else having this issue?
Im having the same issue.
I guess I can stop troubleshooting my installation then.
Im getting the same thing aswell, cant understand it really, it was working on thursday, tried it on friday and nothing but the big red x
yeah so am i...and i can't even get it ti uninstall so yeah...frustrating..had to hard reste the whole phone again...

I just found that very same ZIP file - it works. Inside the ZIP is a new TitaniumWeather.mscr (the mortscript file). Just un-zip it, and overwrite the existing script file in Program Files\TitaniumWeather. Run a FULL update from the TitaniumWeather tab on the today page and it should work fine.

Does this file work on the 4.2 version too?
Yeah I know the name says 3.1 in the file name, but maybe this fix just fixes a small issue and it doesn't overwrite the program files...
.

cant help you further if this dont work.
Thats what i did. The information is updating now, but icons is still broken.
I've got the same problem. Did the fix properly, it now updates ok but the icons are still the red X's.
updated perfectly but, if you are on the clock of voicemail or ..... icon you see a big red "X" on the weather. However, if click on the weather, you don't see the X ????
I reinstalled TitaniumWeather and replaced the .mscr before activating titanium. Icons was back, but after first update they turned to red X-signs again.

Here are 3 fixes..one will work for you! (for me worked the first mortscript zip, page 110 or 111 if i remember right..)
Thanks to prash and *black*silva* for helping below, but I have a new problem/question:
I have made some changes that I want to the akirah3.0 ROM and have manually pushed them via ADB in recovery and it has worked fine with some apps (Launcher, Phone, Contacts, Browser) but when I try to push the new framework-res.apk and reboot, my phone hangs at the T-Mobile G1 splashscreen. Even if I take the original framework-res.apk and unpack, then repack it still hangs. I have tried pushing both an unsigned and a signed apk.
I am able to push the framework-res.apk, android.policy.jar, and services.jar from the blackened theme and it worked fine, so it must be something I am doing, so if anyone has any pointers I'd appreciate it.
Any ideas? Eventually I will put these in an update.zip, but I thought pushing manually would be easier to test.
Code:
I posted this in Q&A yesterday and didn't get any bites. I'm hoping a themer here could help:
I love how some theme's (and Cyan's 4.1.99) have rounded corners on the taskbar. I am attempting to compile a theme for myself and was wondering how this is achieved? I am not seeing anything in the png's that looks like a mask to accomplish this.
Just edit the taskbar image to have rounded corners and fill the rest with black. Its an illusion but since the edges are black it looks smooth.
hmm that seems too easy
I was looking through some themes trying to find the taskbar image that has rounded corners and didn't find any so I figured it was something else.
Did I mention I'm a noob at themeing Clearly I've got more research to do. Thx Prash
edit: Duh, found it. sorry for the clutter
go get 4.1.99 and the extract it then go to system, framework, then extract framework-res.apk, then go to res, then drawable then look for statusbar_background.png thats what you want.
Edit,
sorry didnt notice you found it out already lol.
thx, new problem
Thx prash and *black*silva* I figured it out with your help, but I have a new problem. I added it to the first post and changed the subject title.
framework-res.apk hates to be pushed, the only way i have been able to get it to work is through and update.zip.
Rooted Motorola DEFY (2.1) and installed israel pack (in order to display Hebrew fonts) as described in several places on the site. Selected only the fonts option. After reboot, everything is in Chinese fonts. How do I get out of this? I tried to uninstall israelpack but the buttons have text in Chinese so I do not know what to click on.
Need help badly!
Thanks
Update: somehow, after rooting the phone and installing israelpack, I got some malware into the phone - everything was displayed in Chinese and ads for new cars were shown at the bottom.
In my attempts to restore defaults, I also unplugged the battery and ... the lovely English fonts came back!! And when I go to a website with Hebrew text, the text is displayed correctly.
All in order now but I wish I knew what malware was installed and how to get rid of it FOR GOOD.
Chinese? sounds interesting!
Hey, I recently used the method for installing a gingerbread keyboard on my Desire from here: levelx.me/technology/android-technology/android-2-3-gingerbread-keyboard-for-htc-desire/
however after following the instructions it didn't appear in the menu's or if i tired to long press to select input method. It also messed with all my icons and widgets, totally removing my music widget from my homescreen and changing how the icons were displayed (massive gaps between an icon and the one above it) I was wondering if there is any way to undo this install. I had a look round and couldn't really find anything (either that or my searching fails horribly). If anyone knows how to uninstall a single zip that would be great because at the moment the only way round I can see is to re-flash.
PS: I checked in my applications and it didn't appear there either
Cheers
You have to enable it in settings-keyboard and language. If you already did that and it still doesn't work it didn't install.

Ok thanks alot. Used a different method via downloading an .apk file for it works a charm now
If you tried to change your screen density and ran into gfx glitches etc, this is for you. A simple how-to change your screen DPI on a LePro 3 running EUI without messing up lockscreen clock, dialer, etc.
Firstly, the two methods I knew of with which to change screen density are as follows
- (ROOT REQ) Just changeing the sf.lcd_density value in build.prop (mostly) doesnt work at all, and doesnt affect the resolution whatsoever.
- The other method commonly used, and which doesnt require root if you have access to a computer running ADB is via shell, and using WM (window manager). This one will work, and change your DPI, but will mess up the interface. This is also the method employed by many apps on play store which require root to change your DPI, hence giving the same messy result.
Well, tonight I finally managed to make it work without any glitches, misplaced text etc, all is as it should be, and I'm running 360 DPI right now (screenshots).
Root is required (alternatively you could use TWRP to replace the file, on non rooted phones, I guess). Using a root explorer, navigate to \data\property\ and find the file named persist.sys.sf.lcd_density. Open it as a text document, all it contains is a number which is your phones native DPI
Change it to whatever you like, save and reboot.
Be warned, a TWRP backup is handy, coz a wrong setting can cause the system ui to crash on boot, leaving you dead in the water.
Cheers, works here. My lockscreen pattern is still ****ed up, its either to the left or right, not centered, but apart from that its all good.
Is it better solution than Nova Launcher?

What are you talking about? Thia changes your device DPI, as in everything, not just home screen
@Incogn I believe that is a feature, to ease one handed unlocking, it moves the pattern to the side of the screen on which youve swiped your finger on.
I can live with the messed up dialer for now. 300dpi is perfect for me. =D

Using 380 and dialer is perfect here
Anything below 380 messes up the dialer, but nothing else. I solved that one by installing the google dialer

Interesting, which version? TIA
@Joms_US did it just this morning, @Abdiel1224 posted on Turbo's thread that it was possible by downloading opengapps aroma version, then install them through TWRP, selecting just the dialer and dialer framework. Sounds simple enough, but it wasnt smooth for me at all. After flashing, once booted, app called setup wizard would FC non-stop and wouldnt let me access my launcher/or anything else. After trying numerous times different gapps flashing options, restoring my TWRP backup, then flashing all gapps, etc etc, I finally concluded it was googles setup wizard that was f*cking with me....
The way i got around it was...creative. Managed to get into my recent apps, through solid explorer was able to launch titanium backup, and then force stop/freeze the offending app (google setup wizard). Et voila, after that it worked like a charm.
To save you all the headache/legwork that I had, if you should run into the same problem I did (System wizard FC on boot), just reboot to TWRP, navigate over to System/priv-app/setupwizard/ and delete setupwizard.apk
Works for me. However, the file did not exist. I just created it and put the number in. It worked great!
