Hello Everyone, I just received my OnePlus 3 that I had ordered from Amazon India. It costs around 28,000 rupees in India($410-$420). I will be using this phone as my daily driver and I will keep updating this thread as I use the device more. In the meantime, Please let me know your question/queries about the phone, So I can test it out.
I will also make videos about the phone on my YouTube channel so do have a look at it.
Looking forward to using the OnePlus 3 and interacting with all of you.
Will update this thread with my initial impressions soon after using it for a few hours.

Hi could you please check if one sim is on 4g, can the other sim be on 3g. Reason being some countries do not use 2g.
Thanks

Is it still handy while using it with one hand?
Is the touchscreen sensibility (not ghost touch issues) good? For example are you able to use the phone also when your finger is upside down, on the side on which are the nails.
The biggest issue for me was that the oneplus ones touch screen sensibility was not as high as the sensibitily of my old s3.
is there any free tpu case in the box like they did with the onepkus x?
how much does it heat with heavy gaming usage?
Is it true you can use it for gaming even during charge and it won't heat like hell?
It's supports LTE Cat.6 so should be fast, but do you get massive 100MB/s+ results with speedtests?
With time please post SOT screens

Revieuws got 3.5-4 hrs sot with mobile data. On wifi with tweaks (dark mode is a beast on amoleds) it should be possible to achieve 5 hrs.
Hi, nrp31, could you check please how good/bad is memory managing and how fast it can switch between apps/multitasking?
There is some video on youtube, where op3 switching apps slower than s7
Thank you

It feels like an expensive device, no doubt. The Phone is thin and the all metal build gives it a very premium (though a little slippery compared to sandstone) feel.

No, but there seems to be some sort of screen protector preapplied onto the phone.

The networks in India don't really support such high speeds. So would be unable to test that.
Will be using the phone extensively and return with answers to all your queries
is there any FM radio ?
What about autofocus ? is it fast ? including in low light ?
Have you got the op2 before the 3? I juste want compare battery life, I have the 2 and I want the 3, but if battery is crappie no thanks
And the screen amoled is really bad?
Thanks
following thread ordered mine, Go Big bundle and an otterbox.
RAM Management
Is it true that the phone does not manage RAM well? How many apps (including Chrome) can it keep in memory before killing?
I read there's already a Oxygen update to 3.1.2 (day after the presetation): someone knows which kind of improvement brings this new release ?
Are both sim slots capable of 4G (not simultaneously)?

It is worth the buy.. it is lag free and smooth.. just dont upgrade it to 4.4.2 or few important features would go away.. use the 4.3 which is provided out of the box..

I agree. It's a good performing device. I barely find lags and you may find a lot of people complaining about the Hexa core processor but don't let that get you down. It comes with something called 'Heterogeneous Multi-Processing' which means all six cores (four 1.3GHz cores and two 1.7GHz cores) can be active at the same time so you can get more done with heavy applications. It also saves battery by activating only the two 1.7GHz cores for other normal less intensive applications thus saving battery.
Doesn't get very hot and the battery life is amazing.

I've been using the phone for over 3 months now and have never had that rebooting problem. Only the WiFi and Bluetooth isn't turning on, which is apparently a problem with the antenna. You can get the phone online for much cheaper but make sure you get the one with manufacturer warranty.
If I had to buy a phone in that range today, I'd go for the OnePlus One. It's available only in the US right now, and I know a lot of friends who have already purchased the using a trans-shipment service like PPOBOX. Check it out.
My views:-
Most of the mobile in Market having fix memory card & non detachable battery.
Samsung is the only phone and market leader which gives all options and advantages.
Phone battery is good no doubt however it is depends what you are doing with your phone.
You can expect an extended battery in near future or else you easily carry an extra battery if you are a heavy user.

But what I observed is that the BT and wifi issues have happened only in the international n7502 version and not the indian n750 version.. but if you buy a phone with the manufacturer warranty as stated by ashwin, you wont have to worry at all..
and yeah one plus one is officially coming to India after October. So if you could wait till then you can get the One Plus too..

Thank you for ur input guys, actually i have a 5.5k discount voucher of reliance digital so this phone would cost me like 19.5k and i think that would be the deal clincher as far as the costing goes, i also read about the hexa core device and its performance is commendable. That motherboard issue of reeboting while charging may be an issue in some devices. So i think i will go forward with this device. Looking forward to join you guys here soon.

Hey!
I've just got my LG G4 (I've actually only got it about an hour ago so still setting it up)
But I thought I'd write up a hands on of my experiences with the device and also answer any questions you have. In this thread I will;
Upload screenshots of BenchMarks - If there are any you'd like me to try please let me know
Battery life - from extreme use to casual use
Camera - Night & Day
Accessories - Screen protectors and Cases
Android Version - 5.1
Baseband version - MPSS.BO.2.5.C3-00059-M8992FAAAANAZM-1.17437.1
Kernal version - 3.10.49
Please feel free to ask me any questions in relation to the device and also if you have anything you'd like me to do I'd be more than happy to assist (No Drop Tests) Also Once I get a few accessories I will try and post pictures of fittings. Also bare in mind that I've only just got this phone so before I write up a big review about it I'll need a few weeks messing around with the handset.
I'll also try and post pictures to give you a better insight to the device!
Any questions?

Hi Jason,
Thanks for posting this in the forum.
Seeing as prior to the G4 you had a Galaxy S5, how much of an improvement do you see this vs. your current phone or tablet?
How much better are the photos vs. The S5.
Is the LG G4 a game changer or one of the best phones you have had?
.: Sent from an optimized 'ANDROID til I die' device :.
Does it wobble a lot when typing while the phone is set on a flat surface?
Sound quality recorded is pretty bad based on what I've heard from Youtube videos, will a third party app fix this?
Video is shaky, will a third party app fix this?

Hi,
Firstly, It's a great handset and I really like how quick it is the start up. Like you said I've had a S5 since launch and I'm really used to the UI and the buttons on the front and side ( I think the back button is going to take some getting used to) I was messing around with the camera mainly, taking random photos of my dog and what ever I could see in the back garden. I also did a short video recording as well to see the sound quality and stability of the camera. Overall I'm really happy with the camera (I'm not a photographer) but I feel like one with this device.
It's a GREAT phone, there are some really good points to the handset and some really bad points. One thing I really don't like is the build quality of the handset. I 've got the one with the black leather back and it feels cheap and tacky. I can't wait to get a case on it as it feels fragile. In my opinion I don't think it's a game changer, it opens some apps really quickly and can take a picture but I need to put it under some serious stress to see how it copes.
I hope this helps, sorry I'm rambling (it's the morning)

It does wobble a lot while typing, I'm hoping a case might change this. I will look into this and try and upload a few videos, can you think of any apps that might help? Also the videos don't seem shakey I took one last night and they are fine.
But again I'll take some longer videos in various areas to try and get a better insight into this.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Jason,
just wondering, what model do you have, F500 ? if yes from which carrier?
if it is the F500 how does it handle the LTE and Wifi?
does it have a lot of bloatware?
if you are looking for a good case, the extra thin one from spigen is the one i had on my G3 and it is really good ( SPIGEN )
I have two questions.
1-how is the battery life?
2-how much free ram do you have on average ?

The Model number is - LG-F500L
The Wifi is great, it loads most web pages pretty quickly. Funny thing is that It doesn't show that I've got 4G, even though with my S5 I would have 4G in the same areas. I've checked the signal strength and its at (-109 dBm 3asu) now I'm not a tech wiz but I think I'm not getting 4G
It was loaded with a lot of apps which I can't get rid of, I've not rooted the handset yet so I'm hoping this will get rid of a few things. Because after I use the camera a few in quick succession the phone slows down dramatically.
Hope this helps
The battery life is pretty bad if I'm honest i have only had it off charge for an hour and a half and it has already gone down 5% from doing nothing! It wil last all day but im yet to find the time to seriously stress the battery out with a few games.
Ive attached an image of ram for you to look at.

Well you need to compare the 4g / LTE frequencies of your carrier with the Korean phone you have. F500L means you got it from the LG U+ carrier. That frequency issues is the biggest trap when buying a phone there.. the second is the rooting and ROMs for their models. The international models get way more attention.
if you can pull system via ADB, and contact @Chainfire, i guess he will be happy to make a root. He is the master.

I've never really thought about looking at something like this.
But from what I can read and correct me if I'm wrong I can't get 4G as I'm with O2 and the phone I've got only works on 4G with a higher frequency?
Also thanks for the tip with the rooting!
Could you confirm if there is a barometer?

Battery life i get 3 to 4 hours screen on time and charging is also too slow.
It is fast fluid.
Speaker at the back is loud.

You hit the nail on the head, I really like this handset and I feel that it could have been the best on the market! If only it was a little more powerful, I found that after prolonged use it does slow down. Maybe if an update comes out to optimise the software a little it might be faster.
I really really like the camera on the phone, I'm not a camera expert or anything but it has a lot of features! I'm still trying to get to grips with.

To expect it to be Exynos processor in terms of speed would be unfair. Perhaps the LG G4 does not have the latest specs hardware wise but it's a hell of a device.
From my part I cannot throw away money on another wanna be Apple company (looking at you Samsung)
Yeah the device is a bit faster and looks a little better than the G4 but I just can't do it.
There's a review I just posted on another thread and it pretty much summarizes everything up. He has all the flagship devices and choose to stick with the LG G4 that's saying a lot right there.
I'm an xda member since many years ago, once we get root, bootloader unlock and Roms there is no limit where we an take this device.
Perfect example is my Motorola DROID RAZR HD, when bought it was slow, unresponsive and unimpressive out of the box. Compared to today it's Rooted, bootloader unlocked and flashed with Nexesque Rom it's become one of the fastest devices I've ever owned. The thing is only equipped with a Dual Core processor and 1GB of Ram.
There is a lot to be excited for on the LG G4 and I hope we get root, bootloader unlock capabilities, recovery and Roms soon enough.

Hello there,
I am considering of buying a ZF2 and I have looked around at probably 15 reviews on this phone [emoji14] I don't care about design and such but the guides were saying that the brightness and the camera are a bit bad.
Is the brightness really bad on the ZF2 ? And how does the camera do ?
Sent from my Moto G using Tapatalk
Yup, the brightness are a little bit low at max. But still manage to clearly seen under the sunlight. And the lowest brightness are still too bright it hurt my eyes in dark environments. You may use screen filter app to solve this, and started on .90 fw update, the screen filter already implemented by asus. The camera...well, not too bad at this budget. Still can't compete with other flagship phones. If you are an expert at photography, you may consider buy another phone.

The camera is really bad in my opinion. Every photo I take seems to be grainy or just not all that clear. There are much better options out there. The nexus 6 can be had for $299 now. there are also good deals on the note 4 and other devices that are a year old. The brightness is a bit low, but you'll get use to it. It was a great phone for the money when it launched, but there are better options now. It is a good phone, but not great anymore.
I've always been able to use it the whole day. I usually have 10-20% battery left at night when I plug it in.

I am more than satisfied with the performance of mine. I watch a lot of videos on mine and I can't complain. It is very clear and the screen brightness is not as bad as I'd heard. I noticed OP posted the price in Euros, I assume he's European, so the median price of a Nexus 6 device in Europe right now is more than 450 to 500 euros at some cases, whereas the ZF2 can be found at 50 or 100 euro cheaper than the Nexus6
For the specs it has, I'd say it's a good offer

true, I've also ordered it and wait it to be delivered since a local eshop had it on a special offer at 339€. Of course, If I could find both Nexus 6 and the ZF2 at the same money, I'd get the first mainly because you can mod it easily and without any repercussions (unlocked bootloader doesn't void the warranty, etc)
But then again, going from my current phone of 512 mb ram and 400 mb internal memory to a rocket like ZF2 doesn't leave me much room for complaints

Im a new owner and I regret getting this phone. Battery life is terrible, camera is mediocre, many weird bugs, screen brightness is a joke, reminds me of my 2011 HTC. Oh and still no Android 5.1 and its probably never coming to this phone apparently and probably same story for Android marshmallow.
Avoid this phone at all cost. You can get a better phone for less IMO. Mine is going on Craig's list if the next big patch doesn't fix the battery life.

nope, none of the ROM currently available can give this phone a good battery life.

It has better battery life than lg g4 and galaxy s6(had both), so what's your point? If you personally have a bad experience with your unit, that doesn't make this a phone to "avoid at all cost".

Guys im really thinking about buying the oneplus 3.
but when i compare the oneplus one vs the oneplus 3 i cant see a lot of differences.
IPS LCD - Super AMOLED
13 megapixels - 16 megapixels
autofocus - Optical image stabilization
Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 - Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
3 GB RAM - 6 GB RAM
3100 mAh - 3000 mAh
LTE, UMTS - LTE-A Cat 6
microUSB - USB Type-C
180€ - 400€
So nobody need 6gb ram, the 801 is good enough for daily use. Saving half the price for a bigger battery and less camera pixels, sounds like a fair deal. What do you thin and did i missed something?
NFC, faster GPU , dash charge , slimmer , sexier , the list goes on , get the one plus 3
after using op3 i would not look to op1.

oneplus one has nfc
if you read my post, even if the oneplus 3 is faster, the 1 is also able to play or use every app you want to even if it takes 2 more seconds to load big games
dash charge is not that important for me i always have a batterypack with me
moreover i can understand why thy try to build as thin as possible i would be fine with a thicker phone if it has a 4000mha battery inside.
something else i should consider?
carrier frequency bands and VoLTE are a pretty big change if youre in the USA and have Tmo or ATT
My Dad has the OP1 and I've just got the OP3... there is no comparison believe me! The 801 may have been a good chip over 2 years ago but the OP3 is blisteringly fast when comparing the two. Also screen is far more vibrant, contrasty and brighter, camera is definitely better, and although it has a smaller battery it's already clear from the other forum posts that the OP3 can provide a much greater screen on time than OP1. Also build quality is not comparable, the OP3 has even better build quality than my outgoing iPhone 6 Plus (no kidding!). Take the plunge, you won't regret it.

Well stick to your one plus one and stop whining then....you wouldn't of posted if you didn't somewhat want the op3, I think it's a case of you cannot afford it and trying to justify you're purchase....lol

I don't think VoLTE works on ATT.
My outgoing phone was the OPO and I don't regret it at all with my new OP3.
It's a bit if a stretch of budget.. But it pays you back well.

if you have the direct comparrison to the OPO, what are the benefits and was the OPO better in something?
Kind regards

If you ask me the only thing the OPO was better in was CyanogenOS although oxygen also improved over time. Despite the smaller battery, battery life on the OP3 is on par if not better then the OPO for me. Since lollipop battery life was bad on OPO you know.
Dash charging en build quality alone is enough to buy the OP3 over the OPO
@k.s.deviate AT&T was supposed to have rolled out VoLTE by now, but we all know how carriers never follow through. By the time they do, something bigger and better already out...LOL.
@twinko most things are phased out by design to force you to upgrade. While the OPO is still a great device in my opinion, the lack of arm64 support may limit in development for the future. If you would like a future proofed phone for the time being, you'll need to get the OP2 or OP3. No one can say for sure, but Google may just stop making 32 bit Android altogether from this point. So unless you just want to stick with mm and below, this might also be something to consider.

VoLTE is rolled out, but ATT currently only supports certain devices.. Same with Rogers in Canada, they wont support a device that they don't sell.

VoLTE isn't completely rolled out in the US for all AT&T areas. I'm in California, and have not seen this service activated. Last conversation I had with a rep in my area said they won't even start upgrading towers around here for "a while," whatever that means. My previous two phones were VoLTE capable bought from AT&T and couldn't take advantage of it. My wife's current phone is less than 3 months old through them and we don't see it on there either. But you also have a very valid point. Me having to use my old phones imei to get LTE service is stupid, but they don't have the OP3 listed as a capable device so...

I think honestly the only plus point the OPO had now is the fact that it is more dev friendly.
It has more development as it is quite old now.
It has better speakers courtesy the stereo sound mod on XDA. Better display calibration aka Kernel auditor and better uniqueness.
That's to it in my honest opinion.
I am thinking about giving away my s9 mainly because of battery and the heat it produces.
The current options i have are Note 9 mate 20 pro and the oppo find x.
One of the main reasons i bought the s9 was for the display and curves.
Moving to anything other than Samsung is kinda tough for me. I love Samsung pay and the brand and the UI. I had the stock ui btw.
What would you guys suggest? Any of these or wait for S10? Which will release after 4 months

LOL, you're asking this in an S9 forum? Why not figure out why the S9 is overheating and keep the S9.

Because overheating was just one of his issues and I bet it was the least important one.
I had S9 and moved to Note 9. Why? Mainly because of the battery. S9 sucks badly at this point for a heavy user. Before S9 I had an S7 Edge and I hoped S9 will last the same. I was wrong, I was barely reaching the evening with a full charge and I had to constantly keep the phone in the charger if I was driving and using navigation or talking too much (which I do)
So if you don't want to wait for the S10, go for the Note 9. You'll get the same design and curves (less the corners but that's bearable) plus you'll get more storage (if you had the standard S9), more RAM (S9 has 4 while Note has at least 6),bigger screen, better camera(s) and ofc the stylus. And I can tell you that I am reaching the evening with more than 30% battery under heavy usage.

Heating, poor RAM management, battery issues and slow down in everyday performance is why I am leaving. Also, i am sick of using it in battery saver for 4 hours SOT

My battery is good for me, but not great for the price... But RAM management is very good, don't tell me anyone will use over 5-6 apps at the same time. And the S9 can handle more than that also... And i am not experiencing any slow downs even if I am a heavy user, I use whatsapp, facebook, instagram and XDA everyday, and watch a lot of videos on youtube and I have many games including one with high graphics, Asphalt 9.
Even if sometimes I had to charge my phone twice in a day, but I'm still loving it, especially that it fits perfectly in the hand, that's why I went for the S9 instead of the plus.
