It is worth the buy.. it is lag free and smooth.. just dont upgrade it to 4.4.2 or few important features would go away.. use the 4.3 which is provided out of the box..

I agree. It's a good performing device. I barely find lags and you may find a lot of people complaining about the Hexa core processor but don't let that get you down. It comes with something called 'Heterogeneous Multi-Processing' which means all six cores (four 1.3GHz cores and two 1.7GHz cores) can be active at the same time so you can get more done with heavy applications. It also saves battery by activating only the two 1.7GHz cores for other normal less intensive applications thus saving battery.
Doesn't get very hot and the battery life is amazing.

The current price m getting this phone is amazing 24000Rs. Any other phones that u guys suggest in that price range.
Thank you for you feedback.
You can get for less than 24K..local mobile shops offer discounts.. you could easily get it between 22.5Kto 23K.. just dont buy from samsung smart cafe or you will have to pay the whole 24K amount..

No other phone with these great specs is available in this price range except micromax and the others which shouldn't be opted for.. moto x is okay too but then the gen 2 is gonna launch and it doesn't have the expandable storage ..

I've been using the phone for over 3 months now and have never had that rebooting problem. Only the WiFi and Bluetooth isn't turning on, which is apparently a problem with the antenna. You can get the phone online for much cheaper but make sure you get the one with manufacturer warranty.
If I had to buy a phone in that range today, I'd go for the OnePlus One. It's available only in the US right now, and I know a lot of friends who have already purchased the using a trans-shipment service like PPOBOX. Check it out.
My views:-
Most of the mobile in Market having fix memory card & non detachable battery.
Samsung is the only phone and market leader which gives all options and advantages.
Phone battery is good no doubt however it is depends what you are doing with your phone.
You can expect an extended battery in near future or else you easily carry an extra battery if you are a heavy user.

But what I observed is that the BT and wifi issues have happened only in the international n7502 version and not the indian n750 version.. but if you buy a phone with the manufacturer warranty as stated by ashwin, you wont have to worry at all..
and yeah one plus one is officially coming to India after October. So if you could wait till then you can get the One Plus too..

Thank you for ur input guys, actually i have a 5.5k discount voucher of reliance digital so this phone would cost me like 19.5k and i think that would be the deal clincher as far as the costing goes, i also read about the hexa core device and its performance is commendable. That motherboard issue of reeboting while charging may be an issue in some devices. So i think i will go forward with this device. Looking forward to join you guys here soon.

Hello everyone
I've been searching for a replacement for my galaxy S1 and where I live (Austria) the HOX is sold at 329 for the 32gb version.
Seems a decent price in my opinion only thing I'm concerned is overheating and battery life.
Do all phones have this problem or is it just some of them. Surly I'm not gonna try to replace the battery on a new phone.
Thanks in advance

I have my HOX since the release and it only becomes hot when you're playing graphical intensive games. But even then it's not overheating.
I can use my phone over one day on one battery charge, which is enough for me.

1 - You'll have a job replacing the battery, its non removeable.
2 - My HOX has only overheated 1 time in the 8 or 9 months I've owned it, and that was because FB was on a crash loop.
3 - Thats a great price for the HOX!!
4 - Battery life isn't bad, but it isnt amazing either. With some tweaks you can easily get a full day of use though !
I had One X since it was released
it's one of the best phones I had in my life
It's really fast and great for gaming and every day use, I had an issue after updating to JB (official unrooted sense) and I got a boot loop.
anyway this happened to other brands, and the support was quick to reply (though I'm in the middle-east)
and considering the screen size and the quad-core and tegra 3, the battery is fairly not bad
and there is a power saving option in the latest update
pros
1- it's fast
2-the costumer care is great
3-the camera is amazing
4-the games looks great and fast
5-the phone gets warm sometimes but normal heating NOT overheating at all
6-the wifi works good for me
7-it doesn't need a screen protection since it has (Gorilla Glass) , months of heavy daily use now.. not a single scratch
and one of the things I like the most about my HOX is the perfect design and building materials, you'll love to hold it
cons
1-it doesn't have S-OFF.. might be a problem for some
2-it doesn't have and SD slot.. but 32 GB is more than enough for me
3-the speaker is not the loudest in the market, its a little less than average, not a problem for me
so overall , I'm happy with it and I advice you to buy it
Yes!
The only problems I had with the phone were to begin with Stock....
Since I've been using custom roms, like Lextermina or Renovate, there are no more errors to report :good:
So at all, i can recommend the Hox for u!
Greetings Tilt
Ok thanks for the assuring informations.
Then I'll simply go on and buy one!
I'm sure it will be a fair improvement compared to my old phone

What exactly are you "mad" about? I own the exact tablet down to the color, and I am very pleased with it. Do you feel you got a lesser processor with the Eynox Octacore, rather than the Snapdragon....do some research, it is about the same depending on usage....if you wanted a gaming tablet, you should have done some research, before buying.
I love mine...coming from a TF-701
So the 605 is better for gaming??!
I saw a review between the 601 and 605 , and 605 was better for some game but the 601 was better in some games too
all I am asking for "am I gonna have abetter tablet or not?"
And in a difference that I can feel by using the tablet not by benchmarks records

The premium price for this tablet, takes into account the development of now exclusive software and functionality, if those functions don't suit your needs, then you are having buyer's remorse.
In the words of comedian Steven Wright "you can't have everything.....where would you put it?"
Show your love of the tablet, and use the forum, invest your time, to fine tune your device to your specific needs. I think that is the point here.
If you are wanting the always bestest, fastest, out of the box....that is an expensive goal, and hard to find everything exactly the way you like it.
I am still fussing with my tablet, to suit my specific needs, and I enjoy the challenge.

If you want the best for features, functionality, and development then go for the P605. It comes with LTE, SD 800 Soc, and can do [email protected] vid. LTE can come in handy if you ever travel internationally, SD 800 will have more developer support if you like running custom kernels, and your videos will come out looking slightly better even if it's mostly in your head. Is it worth the extra cost? That's up to you.
I have done it
I had p601 for about 4 days and i had to return it since it had power on switch problem ...i had to press it twice inorder for the touch screen to work. But i got to use it for 4 days and i have to say that it was laggy and the performance was pretty bad atleast for me. If i am going to shell out money i might as well buy the best. I went to the store and bought p605 and it was amazing. there was a little tiny bit of delay while writing on the p601 but on the p605 it was pretty fast and accurate. the battery charged real fast on the p605. I am a power user..and i usually get about 5-6 hours untill the battery reaches 30-35%.
In conclusion, i would recommend you to get the p605 and you shall not regret. One thing i hate about note 2014 is that the warranty will be voided when rooted, this destroys its maximum potential

Yep but that's the way the world seems to be moving, not "what would the consumer like/want" but "the consumer WILL like/want this"...
I believe these companies are shooting themselves in the foot. How many little features start their life out on forums like XDA, then get picked up and packed into the next version of Android as major features?
Less devs=less featues being worked on...
And lets face it, this is unpaid research being done for these companies....
hello guys...
i am a long time user of sony and samsung....
i just saw this cute htc one x (black) it is cheap and beautiful.... im so attracted with this phone....
but,
i dont have any idea using htc products its battery usage, performace, durabilty and so on etc.
with this htc one x for over 2 years since its announcement,
how far good is this phone guys?
is it still worth buying even if its 2 years ago????
pls, give me idea and advice,
hope someone will help me this.... thanks....
Hello,
My opinion is that this is still a great product and still relevant.
Its biggest drawback is its battery life, but about performance and reactivity level, there is nothing to complain about.
If you use it in a soft way (not heavy usage), battery will last one day, if not, stay close to your battery charger.
Good performances in games, really a very good product, and many devs here, so many ROMs to try.
Best regards
Franky

If you can go for something better like the nexus 5, go for it. In my place the price difference is very minimal. My advice is spend some extra money and go for something better.
Performance is pretty good for something from 2012.
Durability is very good! HTC imo are the best in that regard.
But, I don't expect this phone will get the next version of android port (I still hope it does). Like @fgth90 said if you only use your phone for light usage, and you can deal with a slightly limited battery life, you should do OK with this phone. Just don't try newer phones out there or you might get jealous of their performance and end up frustrated with yours :crying:
Hmmm guys im not on max usage... It would be as my backup secondary mobile... Im up to social media such as fb,twitter, skype etc. And music... Games just a bit average not that too much...
I would like to know if it will fit those needs and if it can still hit satisfacion with no regret..

1. Note 4 around the corner to be announced early September.
2. GS5 to Samsung is getting old. Expect GS6 to be announced as soon as the GS5 was in earlier months.
3. 2015's smartphones will surely start to get the new generation in RAM, DDR4L, along with 64-bit CPUs which will be more future proof than what's available for the rest of 2014.
So yes, it's up to you. Good things come to those who wait.
I'm not really in a rush. Honestly the main thing I'm interested in a phone with a battery that lasts all day with moderate use.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using XDA Free mobile app
The GS6 will probably be released around Feb next year. If past models are any indication, it wont be much different or offer much more than the Note 4.
Samsung will stage it (announce) on Sept 3, and its rumored it will be released between Sept 15-28.

Be sure to check out the related articles for more info. Looks like it'll have 3gb ram, 32gb storage, Qualcomm 805, Adreno 420, 16MP camera, retina scanner, etc.
Since my main concern is battery, could you recommend a good battery for the s3 until a better phone comes out?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using XDA Free mobile app
If it were me, id go with a stock one. You can find em pretty cheap online. Just make sure you ask what the date is and don't buy anything over 6-8 months old or used.
What about those Zero Lemon ones? I read they can last a couple days with regular use
Sent from my SGH-T999 using XDA Free mobile app
Lots of people seem to like them. But don't expect it to always report correctly. Ive seen wuite a few posts where people would claim the battery died really fast or just wasn't showing the correct amount remaining. Ime, this is a common thing with aftermarket batteries. You might get longer life out of them, but I personally have just always felt original stock is more reliable.
Also, if you do go with an extended battery, be aware that they often will not allow any protective cases to fit anymore.
In the end, im not saying they are bad products, but it comes down to your own preference. Andv regardless of what you choose to get, try to make sure they dont send one thats been sitting on a shelf for a year or more. (The mord popular the battery, the less likely youd have to worry about this. Zero Lemon is probably the most popular btw)
Hope that helps!
Hello,
I broke my old nexus phone and in market for new phone. I don't wanna spend a fortune and looking for a good one under $300.
so what you guys suggest? should I buy this phone for wait for Honor 5X just announced ?
Cheers
If you were used to the nexus and like pure android , you may not like the ZF2 interface. There are many cool features , but the price is bloatwares and more bloatwares ...
From the standpoint of performance , nothing to complain about .
Yes. BEst phone so far
very smooth performance. but camera is very very bad. toshiba sensor looks like good but asus camera performance is so bad. night shots very noisy, video features and video performance very bad. slow motion feature very very bad. blurry and supports only 1/4 . very old samsung phones supports smooth 1/8 slow motion. only daylight outdoor shots good only and only....
i think somebody must say asus's engineers that people uses camera oftenly, this device have super performance but if your camera bad people says this is poor quality device...

but i will say go for honor 7(perfect)
zenfone 2 is pure performance even on top of many apps running parallel it is something u wont complain about
Anyways wat is ur main requirement i will suggest u one according to that
Dont go for huawei if u want performance go for it f u want looks, camera and ios like ui its not at all near zf2 in terms of performance
Btw, camera is not that bad in zenfone 2 it is like using a old 2014 device(note3) but vide is like between a 2013-2014 device(s4) i compared them personally in indoor setting , outdoor is better
I hope you get the point , sorry for bad English
This phone also has issues dropping calls for me and I'm running the Asus stock firmware not even rooted. Asus support is no help at all if you have an issue, they just tell you to do a factory reset for every issue and wipe the cache, what a joke.

Some have had no issues but if you google the phone you'll see it has had many issues. I really wish I had not even bought it now and gone for the nexus. I use my phone in my business and really depend on it for calls and getting MMS from people, but those are the main issues it has. I've went through the right steps and checked with my wireless provider to make sure the setting are correct and they are, have the latest firmware, Bla bla.
I came from a galaxy S3 and believe me....Samsung makes some really good phones, I just dropped mine and needed a new one.

Samsung's are a hit or miss phone as well. Every Samsung I have owned has been laggy until i put a custom kernel on it due to them trying to extend battery life with poor governors (they test well in benchmarks but in real world usage they take awhile to scale up the frequencies so apps like browser always lag). All their new phones have had a Wi-Fi connection issue that has been present since the release of lollipop (don't happen all the time just occasionally). The new note 5 digitizers are just randomly dying for no reason (my friend went to bed 1 night and when he woke up his phone didn't work anymore. Samsung tech support confirmed they have been getting this issue from multiple people and the digitizer needed to be replaced.). Samsung has the shortest battery lifespan of any phone I've ever owned. I would look into a oneplus one as they have nice phones with lots of development and you could probably find them for around $300 now.
I use to be a huge Samsung fan until they tried to completely stop development on their phones. I miss my old i777. I wish it hadn't got confiscated by the police.

What do you use your phone primarily for?

Watching porn.
I've heard there are other uses for a phone but I haven't found any yet.

Good use.
It depends on how much you're willing to spend on a device. If you just want a mid range phone, that can do lots of things near as good as the flagships, AND don't mind the size + the locations of the buttons, then yes, you should buy it. If not, I suggest you to wait for this year's phones - and also Asus' one as well - to see what's better.
Personally, I'm loving this phone. Maybe the only bad thing is the lack of major updates, since it's still on 5.0.X. But if you don't mind rooting, then you'll be more than fine with cm13.
If you're ready to put up with the bugs in the software, then yes. I'm thinking to move to something else.
