Recently tried to update my recovery from Freegee's TWRP 2.6.3.3 to the latest TWRP 3.0.2.0 version. It flashed successfully, but I now get the "secure boot" error when trying to boot into recovery. My LG e980 is rooted (obviously) and SIM unlocked and I'm currently running the OVER ROM UX 5.0.
I'm just curious what the latest available "lokified" TWRP version is, or if there is some way to make the latest version work that I am currently unaware of?
Thanks for any assistance.
I found twrp 3 on lgviet and i flash it on my e980 and it work.but now i forget the link for download so you i have to search it on lgviet.com this recovery is made by Shield.

Awesome! That worked for me. Thanks all.
For those that don't know: since I couldn't get into recovery, I just downloaded the TWRP 3.0.0.2 zip from the link provided, extracted the recovery.img file, and flashed it using Flashify.
I can now boot into recovery without getting the 'secure boot' error.

My phone is already rooted but i don't have a recovery if i try to use freegee it says first sorry your software version is not currently supported, will attempt to upload boot image for support. >> Upload boot image and device info. Then "Your images has been uploaded. Please allow time for it to be proccessed!". Device Name: geehrc_ply_pl, Software version: E97510e.
OK after that i can choose recovery so i prefer cwm but it doesn't matter which i choose cwm or twrp because after i click open phone i get the message: error during download try again later .
I've been messing around with it over two days now there's no way at all to do anything with it any idea because i have rooted E975 but i don't have a recovery so i can't flash nothing at all ,please help because i'm going crazy with it
If you have e975 or f180 just flash something usual like europe 10d and it will work. Freegee always worked for me but after i flashed latest 10j it is not.

Downloading from both sources stops after about 100kb. Tried to flash again, using kdz that I got using downloading tool from this thread.
When flashing completes it reboots automaticly to recovery mode. After I try factory reset (got to it by holding vol - and power) phone again reboots to recovery mode.
After that it boots to rom, but it's all the same, just the root is gone...

I know that, but I thought that kdz should erase user data and settings and flash new rom, not to only remove root

You need a hard reset after kdz updater

Search for a lokified version CWM 6.0.4.4 for g pro. You'll probably find it in Asian sites where KitKat has been already released.
hello everyone,
I install this CMW v6.0.4.8 zip file and I got a boot error saying "Secure Booting Error Device unluck so boot success.
Anyone knows how to fix this issue without going to LG tool.

After I press power button, I immediately boot up to CMW mode. I think the zip file I flashed is from Freegee zip.

Ok i had this freegee bootloop. To fix it flash twrp and reboot to recovery. Once there reboot to system. Twrp will ask to fix root, say yes. You should boot to system without issues.

unfortunately I dont have a SD card and havent download the twrp in internal SD

You have 2 choices, get a microsd card, or install it via sideload.

Too me it sounds like you wiped more than you should have in fastboot and now you need to reflash some in order to get working recovery. If you got the .img files from an extractor for update.app then reflash them all in propper order.

BTW before any of this happened I only do fast-food erase recovery and flashed another .img. recovery. I didn't erase anything else.

problem booting to TWRP recovery
I think i have the same problem. I installed B513 on my Huawei Ascend P6 and I rooted it. Today i tried to install TWRP Recovery using this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534420) and I thought I did it correctly, but when i try to boot to recovery the ascend logo appear and nothing happens...
Me too after I flashed default stock rom. My phone restart when I try to boot into recovery.
Maybe you should try downgrade to your stock rom. Might work.

I just want to make one thing clear, one of you is talking about G6 and the other about P6, thats two diferent phones.

And flight, if you have root on your phone then try to download an app called quick reboot (root) from play store and it will give you thr option to restart the phone without the help of a pc.

I already have a application to reboot into recovery, bootloader. The problem is my phone wouldn't accept custom Rom.

As writen before on this forum twrp has two versions and the one that you installed is for jellybean, that is android 4.2 and you said you have B513 which is kitkat - android 4.4 and thats why it doesnt work. So you need to find the proper version of twrp (2.8.1.0 is the current for kitkat) and flash that.

I tried flashing twrp & Cwm (jellybean) for my huawei g6-l11 and it didn't work. I downloaded the proper version but still I cannot enter recovery forcing me to downgrade to stock tomorrow.

The phone has s-off and rooted. Twrp has been installed with custom recovery. The issue is when I flash a custom rom like AOKP it's give me a failed message. I made sure to clear cache and factory restore before the flash. Not sure how to fix this.

The current version of TWRP is 2.8.6.0 which is the one I recently downloaded and I am currently using. You can download it directly from TWRP.

TWRP version 7.5.1.1 <-- is TWRP manager from the app store i believe. But you are correct 2.8.6.0 is the latest.
OP if your TWRP is outdated, it wont have the new By Name partition installer. Older recovery's used block numbers, CM changed to Name partitions and messed everyone up. If you are using a AOSP based rom you will need to have the most updated TWRP
Thanks, I updated TWRP, this solved all the problems. Thanks for the help. Running TWRP 2.8.5.0.
