N7105 - SDCard Mode and ODIN

Hi I managed to to get to SDCARD Download mode from a dead boot N7105 using the SD Boot Repair SD. Odin recognizes this and phone was previously on 4.3 JellyBean already. Now when I'm trying to flash with Odin 3.09 , it says "There is no PIT partition" . Should I click the Phone Bootloader Update checkbox also? Need some advice from all the gurus here to guide me along this, thank you very much
Hi guys,
I have a very similar scenario but with an Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300:
Couple of days ago my phone went into booting loop but after removing the battery for a couple of minutes the issue was solved.
Then 3 days later it restart out of the sudden and was stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S III splash screen.
I rebooted and tried putting the phone in Download mode. The phone went into the Samsung Galaxy S III screen twice and turn off not to boot again. Seems like a hard bricked, no response with any buttons combinations.
I read other posts here saying that I could probably boot the phone with an micro sd card. So I donwloaded image I9300UBUGML1_I9300UWHUGMK1_I9300UBUGMK1_HOME from SamMobile and mouted in a 16 Gb type 10 micro SD (my phone is also 16 Gb version)
At first I tried booting the phone pressing the power button for about 10 seconds and the screen ligthted up very quickly (less than a second) saying
SDCARD MODE
UP KEY: NORMAL BOOTING
DOWN KEY: DOWNLOAD MODE
But it was so quick that I was not able to press anything.
A day later I figure out that if I was quick enough I could press down key and put the phone on Download mode (SDCARD)
After putting the phone on Download mode I connected the phone to the PC and tried flashing it with ODIN v3.07
Odin is able to see the device but when trying to flash the phone (selecting PDA and the image mention before) a message came up saying:
There is no PIT partition
And failed.
Reading about this error in this forum, I have tried using different PIT files to re-partion the phone but no success so far.
GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit
GT-I9300_mx_20120322.pit
GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit
mx.pit
Odin stays on Get PIT for mapping after initializing the process.
I would like to know if anyone here have an idea on what else to try (before talking about JTAG reparing the phone as I am not 100% the phone is hard bricked)
I have not attempted to use a USB Jig yet, should I?
Other details:
I am not able to get the download with any other image file in the sd card.
If the phone is on download mode and connected to the PC, the battery can be removed and the phone stays on.
If I press up key in the SD CARD Mode the phone freezes.
Do you guys have any ideas here?
Thanks,

[Q] Tab 3 8.0 not charging, no boot, no download mode. Any help?

Hello friends. I´m new in the forums, but I have now a huge problem in my hands.
I have a Samsung SM-T311 and it stopped working days ago. It wouldn't boot or charge. Recently, a message appeared in the screen, "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".
I can start in Download Mode screen sometimes, with the USB cable in my PC. But as soon as I press "vol up" to enter the Download Mode, it restarts into the "Firmware upgrade encountered..." screen.
So, I have now an incredibly unstable tablet, that won´t boot or charge unless connected in my PC. And even connected, the only thing it shows is that message in the screen. Download Mode is not reachable, so I cant restore it in Kies or Odin, since it cannot be detected.
I know, it´s a mess. But before I send it to any repair services, there´s anything I can do to try and restore my device?
Thanks in advance.

Download your stock firmware from sammobile.com. Flash it using Odin.
The "firmware encountered an error" screen should work the same as the download mode screen. Just connect to pc when you get to that screen and make sure that it is detected in Odin.

It´s not detected by Odin. But thanks for the quick answer anyway.
EDIT: Well, after some effort, could start in download mode. But my computer can´t recognize the device anyway, either in Odin or Kies. It was working perfectly before, don´t think it´s hardware related.
Try reloading the Samsung drivers onto your PC. This may, or may not help. However, not reloading the drivers will keep you in the same state you are in now. Connecting the device and having Odin not recognize it is there tells me the drivers are invalid or corrupted or no longer there. It could also mean your device bootrom is badly damaged.
You may also want to try different USB ports on the PC. When you plug in the device to the computer, you can go to Computer Management / Device Manager and see which port the Samsung is trying to access.
Can you access recovery mode?
Also, try different USB cables.. They are NOT all created equal.
Some will charge.... but not connect to PC for file transfer..
It's real.. try different cables once you've reached D/L mode..
good luck
PS easy way to goto D/L mode is hold 'power' and 'Vol down' together, ONLY
Dont even mess with trying to hold the 'Home" button too..

Can't access download mode or recovery. LGUP and LG Flash tools fail too

I was using a D850 on Fulmics 7.6. This morning, my phone crashed unexpectedly. Tried to restart it, but it will stay on for a minute, then dies again. Tried to go into recovery to reflash Fulmics but again: on for a minute, crash. Someone suggested trying Lineage OS, but that one keeps getting errors mounting the SD card and whatnot. Tried to wipe all partitions and try again, still nothing. Tried to go back to stock, successfully got into download mode and started LG Flash tools, but I get a Download Failed error. After that, download mode wouldn't work anymore. Tried using Androidbrick G3 unbrick, and was able to get Download Mode to work again (goes to the firmware update page), but still LG Flash tools failed again, and now it won't go back into Download Mode. Should I throw in the towel at this point?
When I do plug it into the computer, I do see the Download Mode screen, but then the display turns off and in my device manager, the phone is a Qualcomm hub 9008 or something like that.

Samsung GT-N5110 - Stuck in Boot Loop, Can't flash Due To "Write Error!!"

I have a Samsung Note 8 GT-N5110 (WiFi only) that is stuck at the Samsung logo.
This started after there was an attempt to flash a non-stock firmware and the device powered off before it was done.
When I attempt to enter Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Home + Power) it displays "Write Fail!" in upper left of the screen.
I am able to enter "Download Mode", so I've tried flashing a stock firmware using Odin.
I've tried both a One-Click recovery based on ODIN3 v1.81 and also tried Odin3 v3.12.10.
Each time, Odin fails, with a message:
write fail!!
SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:2, BINARY:1
I've tried various versions of firmware, and nothing seems to work.
I've tried disconnecting the battery for a minute or so, and it still fails.
Any ideas what else I can try?
I have screen shots and detailed logs of what I've been getting, if that helps.
Thanks!
Believe it or not, I still have this device, and have not been able to get it to work!
So, I'll just revive this zombie post more than 2 years later, and see if anyone has any idea on what to do.
I'm in the fourth (fifth? sixth?) week of corona-quarrantine, so plenty of time to look into this!
The tablet needs more power than the computer's USB port can deliver. Thus, it will slowly drain the battery while connected to the computer and working via ADB, Odin or Heimdall. Seems like that has been the case in your earlier attempt, resulting in a corrupt flash memory. I can't tell if it's really defective or just corrupt and in need of formatting.
I'd try to:
1) Charge the battery
2) Copy LineageOS to the MicroSD card
3) Boot into download mode and install TWRP only via Odin or Heimdall. If this works,
4) Boot into Recovery (TWRP, not the stock one!), connect the charger to keep it powered and go from there (wipe and repair the internal flash, install LineageOS)
If this doesn't work, try if you can find any service functions in Odin or Heimdall to wipe and repair the internal flash.
Good Luck!
Ektus.
Hi Ektus,
Thanks for your help!
I will try as you suggested, and see what happens.
I'll let you know how I do.
Thanks!
I had similar problem. What I did is just change the USB cable to new.

Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue screen

*****FIXED*****
I attempted to revive a bricked device on boot loop using download mode and ODIN.
Later an error occurred and my table was brought to ''firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen.
I am unable to use Kies because it cannot detect my device as I cant boot into download mode , as soon as I power on, I am taken to the same screen.
*short: I can't get PC to recognise device and cannot enter download mode.(I have installed drives)
Is there any solution to this?
Thank you!
EDIT: I just found out about USB jigs, will any jig work with my device or do I need a certain compatible one (Can't seem to find anything)
