Anyway to add NFC? - NFC Hacking

I don't know why any phone wouldn't come with NFC in 2016, but LG didn't include it in the GSM version of the LG g Stylo /2, and I love NFC. I know there's ways to add wireless charging, and I read old post back in 2012 on the forums about sims or sd cards, but nothing more recent, nothing available to purchase(I assume because most phones added NFC).

[Q] NFC Support?

Has anyone managed to get NFC working? Apparently the specs allude to NFC support, but unlike the Nexus S I have no NFC option under Settings -> Wireless & Networks. (I'm running the stock HTC 1.33 European ROM).
Can anyone even see the option enabled in their ROM?
Thanks
Done a bit of research and all I could find is that they support NFC. Nothing else haha. I didn't even know until now
I think that all sites that list NFC as part of the phone's specifications are pre-release listings based on rumours at that time. If you check for the specifications of the phone on any reputable site now, it won't list NFC anymore.

G2 reads one card, but not the other one

Hi guys,
I'm from israel (important detail for the problem) and i have the G2 (Sprint variant).
We're having here a local transportation company, that manufactured cards that you can load money on them and go on buses and trains.
The card is using the NFC technology and when i try to use it with my phone with the dedicated app it doesn't read it, but on my old nexus 5 it worked. I was in amsterdam before 3 months and i saved the local transportation card and apparently, it uses the nfc technology and my G2 is able to read it.
Does it makes sense? do i need to switch my card to a new one? How do i fix this? because it works on buses but not with my nfc chip on the phone...
Thanks.
Do you have NFC enabled?? I don't think it's automatically "on" on the LG G2.
Are you running a custom or AOSP ROM? Most of them do not have working NFC for Sprint phones.

[Q] I Cant Get iPhone Nano Sim (W/ Adapter) To Work In LG Optimus F180L

Please help, i hate this damn iPhone 5.
I have a Korean LG Optimus G F180L with CyanogenMod 11, which uses a Micro Sim.
I also have a iPhone 5 (AT&T) which uses a Nano Sim.
I bought a sim card adapter, and to be brief, i cannot get the LG Optimus G to work with the iPhone sim card. The LG reboots like its supposed to, but when it powers up it just says "No Service" at the bottom of the screen. It recognizes that there is a sim it just doesnt connect to my mobile network. I was also unable to find a clear tutorial anywhere to help me troubleshoot. I have the feeling i am missing something blatantly obvious. Is it even possible to get this to work?
I would consider myself pretty competent when it comes to rooting/jailbreaking phones, and im generally able to figure out these things myself, but i have zero experience with cyanogenmod, and i really dont want to do anything that would wreck either of my devices. Any help at all is appreciated.

Google Wallet Tap and Pay

Will Tap and Pay in Google Wallet work?
So long as the app uses wireless capability then it should work.

Not sure what you mean by wireless capability. I'm asking about NFC-based, if that's what you mean by wireless. Google Wallet moved away from the Secure-Element approach popular on previous LG phones (I'm currently on the Optimus G) towards a HCE-software-based implementation . Base AOSP Lollipop doesn't implement HCE for the models of NFC chips (by NXP Semi.) contained in the OG and G3. I'm wondering if:
LG is using newer NXP NFC chips
the firmware/drivers (open source or not) for said chips supports HCE, so Tap and Pay will work with Google Wallet

Works fine on my G2 with stock Lollipop, so it won't be a stretch to say that it will work just fine with the G4. As far as AOSP is concerned.....we don't even know yet if the phone can even be rooted let alone have a custom recovery installed...so it will probably be months from now before that question can be answered.

Google Wallet tap and pay works fine on my G3, even when I was using CM11 and CM12, so I see no reason why it wouldn't work on the G4.
No reason it shouldn't work provided the SIM card is compatible.

The NFC isn't locked down like Sams__t.
Just to reiterate what mingkee said, Tap to Pay doesn't work on some Samsung devices. I just tried to pay with my Note 3 at a Panera and was stupidly taping my phone to watch it do nothing. I was completely unaware that the Note 3 isn't supported by Google Wallet Tap to Pay. So, I'm hoping that it'll be enabled in my next phone, an LG G4. Good to know that it works on the G2 and G3.
will wait till confirmed working.should is not enough for me. thanks for all the input however, made me aware of the uncertainty
MY G4 came preloaded with Wallet and I was able to select the "tap and pay" option after logging in. I haven't used it to purchase anything, but I can do so and let you know what happens.
I have a T-Mobile G4, and I have tested Tap and Pay is indeed working fine. No quirks at all.

LG G8 + Galileo in Canada

Hello,
Bit late to the party but was wondering if any other Canadians here who has one of the newer G8/V50/G8S/V50S/G8X/V60 devices has noticed that the Galileo worked prior to putting in a Canadian sim that our phones were able to see and use Galileo. But after you put the Canadian sim in and it reboots a bunch of times that it effectively stops seeing them.
Has anyone else encountered or noticed this?
I had it working on my G8 when it was BNIB and played with it for a few days while I got my protection for it. But as soon as I put the sim in they were gone. So I know the devices has the required hardware.
