Xposed framework on T-Mobile variant? - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

A little background..
Received my 10 today. Unlocked, rooted, then S-Off'd. (following all steps)
I then installed the xposed framework package for MM and it broke my signal.
To fix, I reverted to my backup, then set everything back up.
What is the install process for xposed on the 10, stock ROM?
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I had the same issue, I even managed to finally install it working....but the first mod i installed broke my signal again. I'm T-Mobile, stock rooted MM and s-off

So I have been experimenting with this:
With stock rooted, htc unlocked bootloader, s-off, MM, xposed would have an error 1 saying something about the system not being readable or writable. I double checked this in TWRP and apparently even though I had it mounted as read/write, xposed could not write the files. I used xposed-v84-sdk23-arm64. This managed to cause the phone to freeze during boot until after wiped cache.
I dirty flashed Lee Droid and xposed installed perfectly with no broken signal.
Then I installed Pandora Patcher 7.1.2 beta 2, rebooted and the signal was broken. I deactivated the Module in xposed installer, rebooted and the signal was fine again. The last part is interesting as I wanted to make sure one more time and re-activated the Module and rebooted again.... Just like that my signal was back and the Module is working fine.

Never mind, misread something.

Xposed Framework (LolliPop)

As I am well aware most of the regulars on these threads know xposed framework has fnally been implanted with ART. Unfortunely, as of right now it's not a simple install an APK, set SU access, go for gold. There have been a **** load of problems going on for a lot of people. Has anyone got xposed to work properly on their devices and how did you go about to doing it ? I already have SELinux set to permissive, but the log from xposed is reading something about modules.list.....

Working fine for me. I just followed the instructions they posted online. Flash the .zip, install the apk, and then install modules. I'm using a bootmanager, youtube adaway, and Pandora Patcher. I'm running BadBoyz latest Sprint Lollipop ROM.

Just bootmanager. Click outside the not installed dialog. I read somewhere it works otherwise. I think it's working but really haven't messed with besides stopping a handful of apps.

Verizon m8 lollipop s-off stock just want wifi

I really have no big need for root besides being able to use WiFi tethering. I had rooted my phone before but went back to stock and got OTA Lollipop 5.01 but now foxfi is broken and really miss the capability. Not willing to pay Verizon for bandwidth I already paid for. I booted to recovery and it says I have s-off.
My question is: what is the simplest way to get the root. I really am not into spending time with daily builds etc. Just want my WiFi!

Put TWRP back on the phone again. Download the latest SuperSU to your phone, and flash it in TWRP.
Flash what? I have twrp and SuperSU installed.

You asked the simplest way to root. If you flashed SuperSU, you are rooted.
OK, I'm confused. I have the SuperSU and twrp GUIs installed. Is this something I do in recovery?

Did you only install SuperSU app from the Play Store? If so, that in itself does not give you root. You may be able to root the phone by opening the app, and picking the option to install the SU binary. But to be honest, I've never done it that way, so I'm not sure.
The way I've always done it (if I'm not using a custom ROM, which are already rooted) is to download the SuperSU zip. Here is the latest stable version: http://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
Than just boot into TWRP recovery, select the Install option, then browse to the SuperSU zip and flash it.
Got root, not tether
OK, I got it together to install TWRP via fastboot, and have SuperSu installed. CheckRoot says I have root. Unfortunately, I can't install the EnableDefaultTether.zip which worked with 4.4.x The zip I have seems to be dated May 15, 2014 although that might be when I downloaded it.
Is there an updated version of this for Lollipop on Verizon HTC One M8?
Thanks
Well I could not get the old wifi hack to work so I sprung for wifi tether router ($5). It works fine and worth the money since the old hack does not seem to work on Lollipop.
Is there an update to the write to external sd card hack for Lollipop?

Need your advice about rooting D5303 5.1.1

I am trying to root my phone via Kingroot, then I received this message:

Yes, why u are rooting..can I know
I'm planning to install V4A, that's why I want to root my phone.
BTW, when I tried to tap that blue button, it says that rooting was successful, but when I restarted my phone, it went to a bootloop. Upon googling, I found another method to root 5.1.1, which is to downgrade to a lower firmware, then root, install recovery, then flash a pre-rooted 5.1.1 ROM. Now I'm rooted ?

Now you need to change kinguser to supersu as kinguser doesn't give the same root access permissions as supersu does. Also to make viperaudio work on 5.1 you must
1. select awesome player in developer options.
2. Disable music fx apk in settings/apps.
3. Install selinuxmode changer and set to permissive.
Viperaudio should now work flawlessly

I'm not sure if you were successful with the installation but I got an alternative method for SElinux change.
Install V4A with drivers then go to your recovery and flash this zip. Most devs do not recommend changing SElinux to Permissive for security reasons, this zip will whitelist V4A in SElinux Enforcing.
If you're new to V4A, go to these settings, sounds better than my walkman.

[REQ] Stable method of Snapchat installation with 7.1.1+ root.

Hello everyone, (yes I used the search bar)
I cannot seem to find an efficient method of installing Snapchat on a 7.1.1 OS that allows Snapchat to verified.
I would be thankful beyond measure if someone could point me in the right direction.
I am only asking because Viper4Android is so necessary that I cannot choose between the trade off of using Snapchat or V4A.
Regards,
ab
Iam using my Titanium Backup just fine
I am finding it difficult to find a proper tutorial as well. It seems though if I mess up the app installation, that I would have to go through the entire rooting process again....
Hello, you can simply unroot from SuperSu (or your root app), install Snapchat, and re-root.
I tried something, Titanium backup, app to hide the root status, but in the end I found that this is the simpliest thing... IMHO

Yes, and it seems that I can get it working for a short period of time until I am forced to re root and flash all image files again...

Really? I've rooted like two months ago, unrooted, installed Snapchat and rooted again.
If it can help, I'm registered to Snapchat beta.

Did something change in 7.1.1.?
I went into SuperSU on a clean root install and clicked and disabled the 'Enable superuser", then installed Snapchat, logged in, and re-enabled the option.

(BS3) Not rooted but banking app see my phone is rooted!

Hello
My phone is Black shark 3 Global version KLEN 2008060OS00MP3.
I've rooted it before using @KM7 rooting guide, i forgot to back up the recovery stock, only backed up Boot.img, yesterday i decided to unroot my phone, so i flashed first the stock boot but the phone doesn't update because it has TWRP installed.
After that i tried to flash MP4 through 1027 local update but it gives "error ota 20"
I did another try that i flash DPX beta global rom through local update, it accepted the install and switched to SLOT B, but i felt that this rom isn't stable with touch so i decided to twrp Back up @mr. Fros global MP3 backed up rom.
My problem now that i can't use banking apps because Saftey net error bypass and banks see my phone as rooted and also i can't update to mp4, mp5 . Etc
Any solution please?
Fully non rooted but banking app see it rooted

You have to flash the stock recovery with the same exact version of your current ROM (which is global MP3) , otherwise it won't work.
Try to uninstall magisk app (apk), or reset to factory, then try again. See if it's still see it as rooted or not.

I got hands on Qfil KLEN2008060OS00MP3 global stock rom, i will firstly extract recovery.img and flash it through adb and check if internal updates going through or not. If not then i will flash the whole rom using Qfil.
About magisk, i already uninstalled but bank app still detecting. I checked Saftey net and got that result :
