Need your advice about rooting D5303 5.1.1 - Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

I am trying to root my phone via Kingroot, then I received this message:

Is it OK for me to tap the button below to continue the rooting process? I'm kinda having second thoughts about this, and I want your professional advice about this... Thanks in advance!

Yes, why u are rooting..can I know

I'm planning to install V4A, that's why I want to root my phone.
BTW, when I tried to tap that blue button, it says that rooting was successful, but when I restarted my phone, it went to a bootloop. Upon googling, I found another method to root 5.1.1, which is to downgrade to a lower firmware, then root, install recovery, then flash a pre-rooted 5.1.1 ROM. Now I'm rooted ?

Now you need to change kinguser to supersu as kinguser doesn't give the same root access permissions as supersu does. Also to make viperaudio work on 5.1 you must
1. select awesome player in developer options.
2. Disable music fx apk in settings/apps.
3. Install selinuxmode changer and set to permissive.
Viperaudio should now work flawlessly

I'm not sure if you were successful with the installation but I got an alternative method for SElinux change.
Install V4A with drivers then go to your recovery and flash this zip. Most devs do not recommend changing SElinux to Permissive for security reasons, this zip will whitelist V4A in SElinux Enforcing.
If you're new to V4A, go to these settings, sounds better than my walkman.

Rooted BUT apps detect that i am NOT.

Okay my problem is that some Apps detect that i am not rooted ( when i am actually ).
I used CF Auto Root -->> Installed TWRP with GooManager -- >> Flashed Infamous S4 -->> Customized my SGS4 with 3Minit & Nottach Xposed. If i wasnt rooted i wouldnt be able to even use TWRP/ 3Minit / Nottach right ?
BUT the problem is some apps detect that i am not rooted:
I was trying to get Adaway / AdFree to work but they both say im either not rooted or cant find su binary.

SuperSU doesn't even pop up when i try to use AdFree/AdAway ( also re-installed 5+ times ).
Even Root Checker Detects that my phone IS NOT rooted.
But i do have SuperSU Pro and my phone IS rooted ( Other Apps can access Root also)
So i dont understand why these apps are saying im not rooted when i am.
Anyone know how i can fix this ?
Update super user, perhaps?

Shouldnt it be updated . I got the latest infamous S4 rom and installed SuperSU pro a few hours ago.
Also, i just looked in the play store and there isnt any new updates for SuperSU.
Solution found. Xprivacy was blocking certain apps that looked suspicious . Didn't even give me a notification that it blocks those apps.
The su binary are not present flash differant su one the includes the binary files

Looks nice.
But for people with locked BL or anyone else who doesn't want to flash this just use Gravity Box via Xposed Framework.
When I flash it I have bootloop, my device is C1905

please download again and flash it
framework.jar was missing in old zip
my mistake
make sure to have a nandroid backup or you can simply flash system from a ftf file without wiping cache and data
Hey people i wanted to let you lot know and the dev that you can flash this on locked bootloader using Flash Gordon I did it on my Xperia M(C1905) locked bootloader and it works like charm no bootloop or anything when i flahed it on locked bl be warned you need to be fully rooted to do this if your phone half rooted I don't know what will happen and your ROM need to be deodexed
BE WARNED PHONE HAVE TO DEODEXED OR WHEN YOU FLASH THE ZIP ALL THE APPS WILL STOP WORKING AND THE PHONE WILLGO INTO BOOT LOOP( I know this is because the developer tells that and I tried it without deoxdiding my ROM and it went into bootloop and had to flash firmware again)
When you flash this using Flash Gordon it will reboot suddenly don't worry about ]
Hi! I do not speak English well
I would like to ask you what you did in the 'android.policy.jar', the 'framework.jar' and 'framework-res.apk'?
Thank you in advance!

Verizon m8 lollipop s-off stock just want wifi

I really have no big need for root besides being able to use WiFi tethering. I had rooted my phone before but went back to stock and got OTA Lollipop 5.01 but now foxfi is broken and really miss the capability. Not willing to pay Verizon for bandwidth I already paid for. I booted to recovery and it says I have s-off.
My question is: what is the simplest way to get the root. I really am not into spending time with daily builds etc. Just want my WiFi!

Put TWRP back on the phone again. Download the latest SuperSU to your phone, and flash it in TWRP.
Flash what? I have twrp and SuperSU installed.

You asked the simplest way to root. If you flashed SuperSU, you are rooted.
OK, I'm confused. I have the SuperSU and twrp GUIs installed. Is this something I do in recovery?

Did you only install SuperSU app from the Play Store? If so, that in itself does not give you root. You may be able to root the phone by opening the app, and picking the option to install the SU binary. But to be honest, I've never done it that way, so I'm not sure.
The way I've always done it (if I'm not using a custom ROM, which are already rooted) is to download the SuperSU zip. Here is the latest stable version: http://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
Than just boot into TWRP recovery, select the Install option, then browse to the SuperSU zip and flash it.
Got root, not tether
OK, I got it together to install TWRP via fastboot, and have SuperSu installed. CheckRoot says I have root. Unfortunately, I can't install the EnableDefaultTether.zip which worked with 4.4.x The zip I have seems to be dated May 15, 2014 although that might be when I downloaded it.
Is there an updated version of this for Lollipop on Verizon HTC One M8?
Thanks
Well I could not get the old wifi hack to work so I sprung for wifi tether router ($5). It works fine and worth the money since the old hack does not seem to work on Lollipop.
Is there an update to the write to external sd card hack for Lollipop?

Can't Install Viper4Android or Better Battery Stats into Z00AD After ROM Update

Info:
ZE551ML unlocked - WW 2.20.40.150? to WW 2.20.40.174
root - SuperSu Pro 2.67
busybox - v1.24.1 -Stericson
SELinux - set to permissive
As I usually do when there's an update, I edited the full ROM zip for 174 and then flashed with TWRP using @AL_IRAQI's guide here.
Flashed SuperSu afterwards, installed the same busybox I was using before and set my SELinux to permissive.
When I try to install Better Battery Stats as a system app, I get this error, "Failed, try recovery ZIP."
When I try to install the V4A driver, I get this error:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
These errors lead me to believe that the system partition is set to read-only.
Am I correct in my guess, and if so, how do I set it back to r/w?
Otherwise, how would I go about fixing this?
Hi,
Disable Mount space separation in SuperSU and reboot. This should fix your issues with ViPER4Android and BetterBatteryStats.

I too faced similar issue. had to remove supersu and install again. Viper and BBS both worked afterwards.

I've been struggling with the issue and it made me question whether I should factory reset my phone.
I don't even know how that option was enabled.
