[SGH-I747] Just reboot - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi everyone, i just bough a I747 unlocked, im from Venezuela.
It come with last stock rom (tough its 4.4.4) and i rooted, instaled Philz Touch Recovery and flashed Cyanogen Nighties 13, from the official cyanogen site all fine here (btw i have to update the modem so the sim can be recognized). Yesterday i download the last nightie and installed via recovery, and start to reset just turning on, i mean, the phone get to the desk, and turn on totally, then just turn off (this happen when i tried to open a app or just open the menu, now make it just after 4 seconds of tottally turn on). I make a full wipe again and install the previous version of Cyanogen, and the problem still, wipe all data and cache, same with Dalvik Cache.
Something curios happen yesterday, the phone make the sound that makes on low battery, i plug to charger and it turn off, and show the battery with 42%, it work perfectly with charger plug in, but when i disconect it turn of and i have to turn on, REALLY SORRY FOR THE BAD ENGLISH, I TRIED MY BEST TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM, IF U DONT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING, ASK ME AND I WILL TRY AGAIN TO EXPLAIN BETTER.
I uploaded the modem withouth making it version by version, i just upload to I747UCUEMJB withouth the others, i dont know if this make the error happen, becuz i have a few days working with it before the error happen.
Im now dowloading OctM to test.

Okay, i just install last octo-m, the phone have to still plug to turn on, but then i can disconnect and works normally. I could appreciate if someone gets me a Stock Rom for the SGH-I747 so i can comeback to TouchWiz, and help me with to bootloader/modem updated guide, i think the problem is on there.
Nope, the phone still gettin off, doest'n last even 3s on desktop.

If the phone was running stock 4.4.4 and you installed the mjb modem which is from 4.3, this may have caused the problem. Maybe flashing a newer modem may solve the problem.

Just bought a new battery and the problem it's gonne, thansk to reply, the problem was a bad battery. (the phone isn't new, i buy from 2nd hand)

[Q] "bricked defy"

Hi.
After I successfully installed the cyangen mod, i wanted to install swype and some google apps. that is when i flashed the nightly sbf...
Since then, I could not start my phone..., only the bootloader (no matter which volume key i pressed).
So I looked for a full sbf to flash and found one, with code 2.5... (jrdnem u3 2.51.1)
but now, I can not even enter the bootloader. the only surviving signal of my phone i get is the white led when i connect it to the pc...
the battery status was at. about 85 %...
I'm really sorry, but i would be very greatful to receive some help
ps. before i flashed the nightly sbf, i forgot to wipe this thing in the bootloader...
Well...in my desperate state I was not able to type in the right words into the search bar. I think I found the answer to my Problem... My only task now is to find a well working sbf 2.5...
I'm still confused. I thought I'm not, but- would it be a problem if i flash the nordic cynagenmod, sbf version 3.4.2?
I would not knwo why not, but after I have these problems, I dont want to do anything again without knowing the consequence...
If you could enter stock recovery. You can do full wipe and boot to bootloader to flash your previous working sbf. If only bootloader your get now, just flash the nordic sbf and boot it into stock recovery to perform the full wipe.

Right now, I don't even see the Bootloader or any Motorola-Logo. It just nothing happening, when I press the power button.
Your battery may well have run out of juice (same happened to me once upon a time). Leave it off, stick it on charge. Go have a cup of tea or two, then try again.
Alright. Now I'v had the time to check again.
Even with charging, the phone is still not turning on.
But I've read somewhere :" Don't worry, as long as you "see" your device in RSD Lite you can still flash the firmware. My big question is: WHICH SBF will help me? I#m really afraid to flash anything, because I don't now the consequence...
About the Cyangenmod: It said, it is not downgradable... does this mean, that I must take the JRDNEM_U3_2.51.1 sbf?
Hope this tips shade some light in your quest of resurrection of your dying Defy.
1) Use RSDlite 4.9 or 5.0 as these program known to be stable on PC.
2) Use the latest Moto driver 5.0.0 ver. Google it and you find it easily.
3) Install both the above 1) and 2).
4) Take out your Defy's battery, plug in USB cable on both ends
5) launch the RSDlite and insert the battery. You'll get some drivers installing and have the connected status display on the RSDlite window.
6) Flash the phone to this file HERE.
7) After flashed completed (At this point you won't get a normal boot yet, screen still black or stuck in moto logo), reboot into stock recovery and do full wipe.
8) Reboot again and you should be seeing it alive again.
Note: If somehow your battery run flat. You must do the Mcguyver trick to flash your phone. Do it quickly to avoid your battery get fried and damaged. I would suggest you brigde the wire connection to a 100Kohm resistor to bring down the voltage/current, this will protect your battery from getting fried.
Wish best of luck this time around.
Wow. Thank you very much for this step-to step guide.
Now, before I get started I have one question left: Can I also use the 5.1 Moto Driver? Or should I downgrade it?
I have the RSDLite 5.0 now, (before it was the 5.33 or so).
Those drivers should work too..

I tried what u said, it's just that RSD does not recognize my phone, so I cannot even flash. I want to believe this is because the battery has run flat (which I don't understand, it still had about 70 % 2 days ago, when the whole story started...)
Please tell me that this is just the symptom of a low battery?!
Is it possible that the flashing has wiped out all firmware and bootloader and chargin system availeble on the phone?
My defy has the same problem. I have changed battery and a universal charger but i dont to know as resolve
I used the Mac Giver trick to flash the sbf onto my defy. It worked, my Defy is working again. Thank you very much

issues with bootloader

Hey i hope all is good.
I really need your help. I have a TILT 2 cell phone and by mistake a friend activated the bootloader. Previously the ROM has been updated. the phone got stuck in that screen and the only way to turn it off is removing the battery. so, i try to reboot the phone and it only loads the bootloader with a flash message saying "no image file". ok, i though, the ROM was damaged and after reading a lot in the forums, i followed the instruction to put a new ROM. I connected the phone the the computer and the message in the phone changed to USB and my PC installed the HTC USB Sync driver (but Active Sync does not detect the phone); anyways, i ran the task 29 and a new rom. I was able to see the progress bar in both (PC and Phone) but then the phone reboots and loads again the bootloader. I tried to use the HARD SPL 1.00 as well but it does the same thing after finishing the flash it loads again the bootloader.
can some help me pls?? i'm new in this and the phone is a work tool for me i really need your help.
rgds
You should do the HSPL before flashing a ROM (unless it was already done).
I would try to flash the newest HSPL, then a ROM.
Hi, and thank you for you reply.
I already did it and apparently it flashed the HSPL . Now in the bootloader says SPL 0.85 OliMex; then i flashed the ROM and it showed me the progress bar in both system (PC and phone) but when it finish it booted back to the bootloader. I just noticed that sometimes (after been off for a while) if i turn it on it boots to the rom but it happens randomly and if I turn it back off i just got the bootloader again.
I really need your help pls

Hrm, have you tried doing a task29? Re-flash the ROM after task29.
yes already tried the task 29 and then flash the rom but the same issue...i've been reading a lot of post regarding issue with the bootloader and follow the instruction but nothing seems to work. I even tried the update from the AT&T site but the same issue...i have no idea what else to do

So you've flashed the stock ROM? Have you tried relocking? Probably won't do much, but worth a shot I guess.
When you flash back to stock you flash the stock ROM, then relock, then reflash stock.
Yes, but the issue persisted.
I have noticed something. If i leave the cell phone turn off for a while (hours) and then i turn it on. Most of the time it works and all the things are fin; but as soon as i turn it off and turn it back on the bootloader starts appearing.
So, now i can use the cell but i cannot turn it off or leave the battery died on me...any suggestions?
BTW, thank you very much for your help

My phone is never turned off. I'm not sure what else to suggest, you've tried seemingly every step that could remedy this problem. Radio firmware probably won't help, but it shouldn't hurt either - you could try a new radio...
hi , this happened to me, solved it by reloading the rom again via sd, once it finish maybe you will see the bootloader screen again, so with stylus pres the reset buttom a few times until the rom boot , this can take several times to make it boot. after revive your cell , do a task29 then reload the rom again then do a hard reset, this happened to my 2 times, and its still alive ,good luck.
Same Problem
Hi,
I'm having the same problem. Installed the latest official ROM from HTC/ATT (gorgeous), and same problem after install. Whenever you try to reboot, it gets stuck in the bootloader screen. The last 50 tries it will not reboot at all, even after removing the battery and hitting the power button. This used to work occasionally.
Any other process anyone knows for getting the device to read the ROM?
Is the phone just worn out?
I suggest you reflash the shipped rom to your device and after the flash finishes and your device begins to boot immediately remove the battery to turn it off before it boots. Then replace the battery and press and hold the Send and End keys and while holding them down press the Power button and follow the instructions to factory reset(hard reset).

[Q] Looking for ORANG001 Nandroid backup

Hey guys, anyone got a 2.17.61.3 stock nandroid backup for ORANG001 (Orange UK)?
Struggling to find it uploaded anywhere.
Need this or the custom ruu to use the downgrading trick to update my hboot.
Thanks!
Its in here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
The dropbox link is broken sadly
Then you have to wait until its fixed, or when bugsy get the chance to host it on his sire
Yeah :s
Trying to update my hboot, because right now the phone randomly turns off and requires me to hold down the power button. Also gets stuck on optimizing apps.
Thought I'd ask here in case anyone had it floating around in their download folder.
Thanks though!
Maybe there is a JB firmware in the firmware collection thread to update the hboot and then restore the JB nandroid ?
Your cid and firmware is listed here + firmware download
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
That could work! Would I flash the firmware in the same way as I would in the RUU/hboot upgrade guides, or can I skip locking the bootloader and stock recovery?
Like:
fastboot oem lock
reboot
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <zip>
re-unlock etc.
Yes thats it
Did all that, stock rom crashed, flashed IceColdJelly and that crashed after a while. Phone won't turn on now like before, might turn on after a while, I always have to hold down the button for a long time now.
Thinking maybe this is a hardware / battery problem although everyone was fine before I when from Carbon 1.3 -> 1.5, going back to 1.3 didn't help.
Not really sure what to do now :s
Do the firmware flash all over ! Then reflash the custom recovery, perform a real good wipe and install the rom again. Helped before when i suggested it with someone who experienced similar problems
Did all that, everything went fine until booting into system again, it crashed pretty much just after setup-up. The screen freezes and the button lights go to full brightness.
Would it be worth completely formatting the SD card too?
Trying to think of anything I'm doing wrong.. I do use the Motorola charger rather than an HTC one but I doubt that matters.
Thanks for helping thus far though!
Also for flashing ? Never use another cable then the original !
And yeah its worth the try. Did you perform a full wipe in the recovery....really all stuff ? Caches, dalvik cache....data, system, factory reset. Then install the new rom and flash the boot.img....also wipe cache after flashing the boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
It looks more like a not good wipe problem to me
OK I did a full wipe this time, system, sd card. I've got TWRP on there now which works fine. I flashed ICJ then the boot.img as well as wiping the cache.
Phone booted up fine was working for quite a while before it crashed again, the phone was plugged in using the Motorola plug charger when it crashed. I've been using a battery pack too which uses the power connection on the back.
The phone wouldn't turn on until I plugged it into USB for a while (no led) and held down power + volume down. I'm going to charge it up to full via usb in TWRP then see if it still crashes without charging and without the battery pack on.
I hope it doesn't because then it could just be I need to get the HTC plug/cable and stop using the case.
If it's a hardware problem then I'm not sure I'll be able to get it repaired as I bought this second hand (with a receipt, I could see if I can proof of purchase) and have unlocked the bootloader etc.
I suppose if the phone won't turn on though they can't know that.
Like i said ..... only use original stuff
Any update ?
It crashed in recovery while making a backup and I haven't manage to get it back on yet, I've ordered a HTC cable / plug though. If I get it on I'll just charge it then turn it off, as when I turn it off (as opposed to it crashing) it turns on normally.
Not really looking good though
Sorry to hear this
Got the HTC plug and nothing seems different, still totally dead.I think it is a hardware failure of some sort, as with all the different software combinations I tried it was crashing regardless. (At least that's what I tell myself.)
I'm going to see if I can get it repaired on warranty and hope they don't check the IMEI.
Thanks for all the help
Oke mate ! I hope you get it fixed soon
Good news! HTC have fixed it and sent it back, charging it for a few hours now before I turn it on.
I'm not sure what broke it but I was using the wrong charger for the phone and also a cheap battery case to prolong its daily usage. I'm not sure whether I want to risk flashing roms again but I really don't like sense, it depends if I bricked it or not.

[Q] "GT-S7560" What ROM's currently exist? and help with some issues with current ROM
So.. first I want to know what ROM's currently exist for my "GT-S7560", not the M version. ("Samsung Galaxy Trend" from Vodafone Portugal)
if you'd be kind enough to list them for me.. it would be great.. cus I didn't find anything.
Second I'd like to know how can I reset the entire phone, to the original ROM, etc.. to put it like new.
Third, I'll explain why I need to know those things above..
1 month ago, I flashed this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674091
All is fine.. phone is much faster with this new ROM..
But, my battery overheats.. when charging or not.
When my battery goes below 5%, it doesn't shut down the phone automatically like it says on the ROM page.
I go to sleep, I have my battery full, wake up next day. phone is turned off with 0% battery.
Can't charge it up again, cus it doesn't charge with the phone turned off. I was successful on charging it with the phone off for a few times.. but no longer.
So now i borrowed a battery from a friend, so I can fix this.. so I could turn on the phone...
So the problem must be the ROM. and so I need another one.. Or the stock one.. or a Stable one.
Hope you can help me..
Thz..
*I tried to revert back with my backups.. but they are corrupted.

Hi , you should try to install a stock rom..because custom roms have a lot of bugs...you can find a stock rom on samfirmware.com...and flash it via odin..it`s easy..put the phone in download mode by holding power , menu and volume down buttons at the same time..

[Q] Problems with my n7105 - wrong device name, and 'error' during charging

Hallo, and thanks for your time.
Sometimes when i try a new rom from the n7105 forum, the install fails - and i am informed that the rom
is not supporting the t03g device.
Which is weird, since i have a t0lte, with working LTE connectivity.
What could cause that, and how do i solve the problem?
The other problem i have, is that when my phone sometimes gets completely drained, and i plug it in.
The charging icon on screen is frozen, and the light on the phones LED doesnt indicate that it is beeing charged.
And it refuses to be turned on.
But if i unplug it after a few mins, then i can turn it on.Then i quickly plug in the power again and it continues to function properly - with the LED turning green and the icon in the notification bar
showing that it is beeing charged.
On my phone, ive currently installed:
ROM: Slimkat 4.4.4 build 8.0 official 6952
Recovery: CWM Philz touch 6.46.3
At one point i tried the AGNI kernel - i forgot if it was pureSTOCK, or pureCM.
But shortly after i messed up, and lost IMEI etc. So i reinstalled the stock firmware from sammobile.com as per their instructions
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/33018/N7105XXUFNE3_N7105HTDFNF1_HTD.zip/
That one matches my country, and it is the carrier i originally bought the phone from.
After the installation - i used Odin to install Philz recovery, and i used that to get slim rom on my phone again.
Actually, now that i write this. I dont remember if i used a backup (so the kernel is back on my phone.) or if i just got the latest (at that time) rom from slimroms.net
I hope someone can help me figure this out. I dont know enough to find cause of the problem.
I often read the phrase, "give me the logcat" - if that is needed to solve my problems, i would need instructions on how to.
Again, thanks for your time.
bump
Problem solved.
Im not sure what it was.
But i solved it by reinstalling the original firmware from sammobile, and then doing a fresh install of slimkat 9
Actually no - its still there.
When the battery gets completely drained, the charging animation doesnt start. And i cannot turn on the phone while it is plugged in.
