[Q] Looking for ORANG001 Nandroid backup - HTC One X

Hey guys, anyone got a 2.17.61.3 stock nandroid backup for ORANG001 (Orange UK)?
Struggling to find it uploaded anywhere.
Need this or the custom ruu to use the downgrading trick to update my hboot.
Thanks!

Its in here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140

The dropbox link is broken sadly

Then you have to wait until its fixed, or when bugsy get the chance to host it on his sire

Yeah :s
Trying to update my hboot, because right now the phone randomly turns off and requires me to hold down the power button. Also gets stuck on optimizing apps.
Thought I'd ask here in case anyone had it floating around in their download folder.
Thanks though!

Maybe there is a JB firmware in the firmware collection thread to update the hboot and then restore the JB nandroid ?
Your cid and firmware is listed here + firmware download
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376

That could work! Would I flash the firmware in the same way as I would in the RUU/hboot upgrade guides, or can I skip locking the bootloader and stock recovery?
Like:
fastboot oem lock
reboot
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <zip>
re-unlock etc.

Yes thats it

Did all that, stock rom crashed, flashed IceColdJelly and that crashed after a while. Phone won't turn on now like before, might turn on after a while, I always have to hold down the button for a long time now.
Thinking maybe this is a hardware / battery problem although everyone was fine before I when from Carbon 1.3 -> 1.5, going back to 1.3 didn't help.
Not really sure what to do now :s

Do the firmware flash all over ! Then reflash the custom recovery, perform a real good wipe and install the rom again. Helped before when i suggested it with someone who experienced similar problems

Did all that, everything went fine until booting into system again, it crashed pretty much just after setup-up. The screen freezes and the button lights go to full brightness.
Would it be worth completely formatting the SD card too?
Trying to think of anything I'm doing wrong.. I do use the Motorola charger rather than an HTC one but I doubt that matters.
Thanks for helping thus far though!

Also for flashing ? Never use another cable then the original !
And yeah its worth the try. Did you perform a full wipe in the recovery....really all stuff ? Caches, dalvik cache....data, system, factory reset. Then install the new rom and flash the boot.img....also wipe cache after flashing the boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
It looks more like a not good wipe problem to me

OK I did a full wipe this time, system, sd card. I've got TWRP on there now which works fine. I flashed ICJ then the boot.img as well as wiping the cache.
Phone booted up fine was working for quite a while before it crashed again, the phone was plugged in using the Motorola plug charger when it crashed. I've been using a battery pack too which uses the power connection on the back.
The phone wouldn't turn on until I plugged it into USB for a while (no led) and held down power + volume down. I'm going to charge it up to full via usb in TWRP then see if it still crashes without charging and without the battery pack on.
I hope it doesn't because then it could just be I need to get the HTC plug/cable and stop using the case.
If it's a hardware problem then I'm not sure I'll be able to get it repaired as I bought this second hand (with a receipt, I could see if I can proof of purchase) and have unlocked the bootloader etc.
I suppose if the phone won't turn on though they can't know that.

Like i said ..... only use original stuff

Any update ?

It crashed in recovery while making a backup and I haven't manage to get it back on yet, I've ordered a HTC cable / plug though. If I get it on I'll just charge it then turn it off, as when I turn it off (as opposed to it crashing) it turns on normally.
Not really looking good though

Sorry to hear this

Got the HTC plug and nothing seems different, still totally dead.I think it is a hardware failure of some sort, as with all the different software combinations I tried it was crashing regardless. (At least that's what I tell myself.)
I'm going to see if I can get it repaired on warranty and hope they don't check the IMEI.
Thanks for all the help

Oke mate ! I hope you get it fixed soon

Good news! HTC have fixed it and sent it back, charging it for a few hours now before I turn it on.
I'm not sure what broke it but I was using the wrong charger for the phone and also a cheap battery case to prolong its daily usage. I'm not sure whether I want to risk flashing roms again but I really don't like sense, it depends if I bricked it or not.

[Q] How to comletely remove Clockworkmod

Hey, I rooted, s-off/hbooted my phone and used Clockworkmod to install a ROM.
Now it won't go away no matter what I've tried and I want to be able to turn my phone off and charge it without seeing that annoying recovery screen.
I've backed up all my apps on to SD, wiped data and factory resetted with CWM and the phones built in factory reset yet it still comes back to haunt me.
What do I need to do to make this go away and revert my phone back to it's original out of box state?
CWM should come with an uninstall guide and a notice of how annoying this is, I see it's quite a widespread problem for everyone trying to calibrate the battery with no clear answer
Install the correct HTC RUU for your desire hd.

Much appreciated, you get my first thanks.
For anyone else in need here's where I got mine (every other ROM and RUU is there too)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868610
Just to be sure, can I just put the RUU on my storage card and use CWM recovery to install it?
Thanks for the.. thanks lol
I don't know but it really doesn't matter, better if you flash it from bootloader. If you were eng hboot s-off then your dhd will become 100% stock (if you installed the correct htc ruu). If you were radio s-off you will still have s-off afterwards. I don't think this affects warrentee issues as long as you have installed the correct rom.
On another note, I am sure I read somewhere some instructions on how to calibrate your battery and fix this problem. But you may have to do a little searching for it.

even on stock the phone goes into recovery anyway just it don't show the recovery screen. reason it does so i've read is for the led light to come on lol
spookamiester that link just brings you back to this thread so i've placed a link to all HD files and it has all the RUU files there

just check the first two links for ruu files

Maybe I am being simple but I see this posted everywhere as a problem, it in no way affects battery calibration, yes when the phone is turned off and plugged in it boots into recovery (it also does this with the stock ROM) so what? It's still charging and from CW you can then wipe the battery stats which is required to complete your calibration anyway.
What exactly is the problem with it booting into CW when turned off and plugged in
and to answer the question, reflash with the appropriate RUU
Or just flash recovery.img from a stock rom
Is the s-off that stops the receiving of OTA's ?

First of all I'd like to thank everyone for the responses, should be able to get things sorted now.
In response to the charging in CWM, I tried it for over an hour after full charge on and the LED remained amber, I turned the phone back on and the battery was at 99% which leads me to believe that it doesn't actually charge in CWM recovery, I tried this on stock and within 10 minutes after full charge on I got the green light off. I've asked in other threads if anyone can confirm the phone charge whilst in CWM but so far no confirmation, just similar results.
I'll keep my eyes pealed for answers but I don't think it works with CWM and can't find a way to charge whilst off without CWM recovery popping up.

I have spent quite a while in recovery and I am fairly sure it's charging I wouldnt be surprised that the green led didn't function though? I don't really see how it wouldn't charge surely it a hardware thing when the power is attached?
Update: I use QtADB to give a GUI interface to ADB, have spent the past 15 minutes monitoring the battery state whilst in Clockwork recovery and it is most defintetly charging so you needn't worry about that
I bought the phone from Hong Kong with stock ROM. Rooted, S-Off and installed CWM but never flashed any ROM. But I have same the problem, screen will boot to recovery when I want to charge. I found there are a lot of DHD guys have the same problem here in China or Hong Kong..... and no solution found in any forum here yet. Some said it's a bug on CWM.
Anyway. I found an alternative myself. Instead of using the DHD original charger, I used the I9000 charger to charge the DHD. It worked perfectly (100% charged) and no recovery screen appeared so far......
Hey guys!
I have the original Desire HD stock ROM but I have clockwork mod recovery.
Could you guys provide a step by step guide on how to remove and replace with original recovery image?
I would really appreciate all the help!

I have a file recovery.img. How do I flash it to the DHD?
I'd like to know this as well. I have the Clockwork bootloader installed. It's OK, but I changed my mind - I'd like to keep this phone as close as possible to factory-standard and use a different phone for hacking. Is there a step-by-step guide to reverting a DHD back to normal so I can benefit from the regular OTA updates?
Thanks!
Reflashing the ruu is the hard and long way.
Just download the stock recovery.img which west2cool was good enough to post for me. (Cheers again I didn't really feel like installing windoze just for that).
Then use fastboot - "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

And make sure it is FASTBOOT mode. Flashing fails otherwise (unless I did something stupid).
Sorry, I'm a newb at this.
When I boot by doing vol-down + pwr I get a mainly white screen with three Androids skateboarding at the bottom. At the top it says
ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-0.85.0007
The top option is "FASTBOOT", so I press pwr once to select that.
Next I see four options:
BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOT BOOTLOADER
POWER DOWN
I do not see an option to reflash a recover image.
If I go into "RECOVERY", I see the green text on a black background of ClockworkMod v2.5.1.3. There is an option to apply an update.zip, however that's clearly not the same thing as I was instructed to do.
Detailed step by step instructions would be much appreciated!
THANKS!
I'm resurrecting my laptop with ubuntu 10.10 x64 right now (so I can build gingerbread) so can't help until later. If someone doesn't beat me to it, I will up a proper set if instructions along with the links you will need once my laptop is fully functional again.

Ok buddy, my lappy lives again
1. Download the recovery.zip posted earlier on in the thread.
2. Extract recovery.img from the recovery.zip (best to extract it somewhere easy like a new folder called c:\fastboot)
3. Download fastboot from here. http://developer.htc.com/adp.html#s2
4. Make sure fastboot.exe and recovery.img are in the same directory (e.g. c:\fastboot)
5. Reboot your phone as you did before (while holding vol down + power)
6. Select fastboot and push the power button
7. Plug your phone into your computer - it should change the message to "FASTBOOT USB"
8. Open a terminal (push start button and type in "cmd" to get one if you don't know how).
9. Type "cd c:\fastboot" and press enter.
10. Type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
11. You should see a message which says something like sending ... send complete ... done.
12. To test: Push the power button on your phone once, push volume down once to highlight recovery, push power button. It should boot you to a screen with a red triangle.
13. Push vol up + power button to bring up the stock recovery menu
14. Push power button to reboot
Hopefully thats detailed enough

[Q] "bricked defy"

Hi.
After I successfully installed the cyangen mod, i wanted to install swype and some google apps. that is when i flashed the nightly sbf...
Since then, I could not start my phone..., only the bootloader (no matter which volume key i pressed).
So I looked for a full sbf to flash and found one, with code 2.5... (jrdnem u3 2.51.1)
but now, I can not even enter the bootloader. the only surviving signal of my phone i get is the white led when i connect it to the pc...
the battery status was at. about 85 %...
I'm really sorry, but i would be very greatful to receive some help
ps. before i flashed the nightly sbf, i forgot to wipe this thing in the bootloader...
Well...in my desperate state I was not able to type in the right words into the search bar. I think I found the answer to my Problem... My only task now is to find a well working sbf 2.5...
I'm still confused. I thought I'm not, but- would it be a problem if i flash the nordic cynagenmod, sbf version 3.4.2?
I would not knwo why not, but after I have these problems, I dont want to do anything again without knowing the consequence...
If you could enter stock recovery. You can do full wipe and boot to bootloader to flash your previous working sbf. If only bootloader your get now, just flash the nordic sbf and boot it into stock recovery to perform the full wipe.

Right now, I don't even see the Bootloader or any Motorola-Logo. It just nothing happening, when I press the power button.
Your battery may well have run out of juice (same happened to me once upon a time). Leave it off, stick it on charge. Go have a cup of tea or two, then try again.
Alright. Now I'v had the time to check again.
Even with charging, the phone is still not turning on.
But I've read somewhere :" Don't worry, as long as you "see" your device in RSD Lite you can still flash the firmware. My big question is: WHICH SBF will help me? I#m really afraid to flash anything, because I don't now the consequence...
About the Cyangenmod: It said, it is not downgradable... does this mean, that I must take the JRDNEM_U3_2.51.1 sbf?
Hope this tips shade some light in your quest of resurrection of your dying Defy.
1) Use RSDlite 4.9 or 5.0 as these program known to be stable on PC.
2) Use the latest Moto driver 5.0.0 ver. Google it and you find it easily.
3) Install both the above 1) and 2).
4) Take out your Defy's battery, plug in USB cable on both ends
5) launch the RSDlite and insert the battery. You'll get some drivers installing and have the connected status display on the RSDlite window.
6) Flash the phone to this file HERE.
7) After flashed completed (At this point you won't get a normal boot yet, screen still black or stuck in moto logo), reboot into stock recovery and do full wipe.
8) Reboot again and you should be seeing it alive again.
Note: If somehow your battery run flat. You must do the Mcguyver trick to flash your phone. Do it quickly to avoid your battery get fried and damaged. I would suggest you brigde the wire connection to a 100Kohm resistor to bring down the voltage/current, this will protect your battery from getting fried.
Wish best of luck this time around.
Wow. Thank you very much for this step-to step guide.
Now, before I get started I have one question left: Can I also use the 5.1 Moto Driver? Or should I downgrade it?
I have the RSDLite 5.0 now, (before it was the 5.33 or so).
Those drivers should work too..
Sent from my awesome Moto Defy: Stock Rooted Gingerbread 2.3.3 - XDA Premium
I tried what u said, it's just that RSD does not recognize my phone, so I cannot even flash. I want to believe this is because the battery has run flat (which I don't understand, it still had about 70 % 2 days ago, when the whole story started...)
Please tell me that this is just the symptom of a low battery?!
Is it possible that the flashing has wiped out all firmware and bootloader and chargin system availeble on the phone?
My defy has the same problem. I have changed battery and a universal charger but i dont to know as resolve
I used the Mac Giver trick to flash the sbf onto my defy. It worked, my Defy is working again. Thank you very much

[Q] Please Help! My HTC is encountering serious problems!

Ok so here's what i did.
I rooted the phone, installed the CWM Recovery and everything.
Next I installed the Android Revolution HD Rom 7.1.0 by doing the "Super Wipe".
It got into boot loops
Then after factory resetting and every other things I could do I tried to do the new RUU on my O2 HTC One X Unlocked.
For that you have to Re-Lock it (which I did)
And I cant go into any of the Fastboot settings etc too because its battery level is very low.
Please someone help me. I just bought this phone

unlock the phone again. flash the latest recovery. then go into fastboot. fastboot erase cache , then flash the kernel, go into recovery flash superwipe, flash rom and reboot and job done..
before you do all that though backup your current rom
I cannot go into the fastboot and do the stuff because it prompts me that I have less battery. There's another problem that the phone doesn't shut off. When it gets out of juice then it turns black, the notification light blinks then when its charging, it loads the Bootloader. It simply just doesn't turn off and that leads to the problem that it uses up the battery much more than the required :/
I've tried powering down from the menu but no use

if you say you can not go into bootloader or recovery then it does not sound right...maybe take it back to retailer or something might be the best option if no one can help out
have you tried the power button with the volume button down for ten seconds to see if the phone reboots?

OK so I managed to get the phone UNLOCKED (Finally)
Now when I flash the 5.8.4.0 recovery it says
"unknown partition 'recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img'
error: cannot determine image filename for 'recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-end
eavoru.img'"
So i booted the phone into the recovery mode instead of flashing.
I am finally getting somewhere but how do i know it's charging there? I don't see the red LED turn ON :/
LATEST UPDATE:
So when I unlocked the bootloader again. Apparently that solved the "not turning off" habit of the phone.
I went into the bootloader and Power Down my phone, Now it's on charge (waiting for it to turn green)
And I have the O2 branded HTC One X. I also updated it to the 1.29.206.XX something.. I don't remember :/
And I only see one RUU for the O2 branded Phone and that is like 1.26.XXX.XX thing... Will that cause problems since I upgraded the firmware??

Why is it so hard for guys to flash roms. Man its getting old seeing 50,000 of the same threads over and over.

You have latest recovery. So boot to fastboot & flash the roms boot.IMG ( fastboot flash boot boot.img) now unplug the phone, press the power button. Now your back in hboot select recovery, once there click mounts & storage button , mount USB drive. Now copy the Rom to your phone. Unmount USB drive, now flash super wipe script. BUT DON'T REBOOT AFTER YOU FLASH THIS!!!!!! choose option to select another zip to flash. This time flash your Rom & reboot. Now your done. Simple huh. & to answer your ruu ?, you can't downgrade ruu's if your on 1.29, your stuck with it till a newer one comes out.

Woah! That's spot on... I was surely gonna mess up my phone if i had done the RUU.
Its charging while the screen is off as we speak. But I think there is a problem with the charge thingy.
Its off and charging.. but sooner or later it turns off due to low battery (IM SUCH A NOOB I DNT KNW IF THE LOW BATTERY IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM)
I'll wait for it to charge again though and connect to the PC again
In the meanwhile can u answer me something regarding this
1. Does the red light turns on while charging in CWM 5.8.4.0
2. Does the mount USB Drive works? :'( Cuz when the phone was working fine. The mount USB Drive failed and gave an error of having a "lunfile missing" :/

How can I charge my phone while on Relocked Bootloader. I need help u guys!

[SEMI-BRICKED] Need help reverting to stock

Hi
Dunno what went wrong, but my phone ran out of battery last night, and when I charged it, and turned it on, it resulted in a bootloop.
I then wiped and reflashed the ROM, but still boot looping, and now I can't get into recovery anymore.
I can get in to bootloader, and I have tried to start the RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed.exe in fastboot og HBOOT compability, but no luck (Check that your cable is connected).
Can't I get another ROM on, stock preferred, anyway?
my HBOOT version is 0.94.0000
I had installed AOKP ICS 4.0.4 custom ROM on the phone.
I'm no noob, but my knowledge isn't sufficient in this case
Thanks in advance

I was just trying to flsah the new CWM beforehand, but it says batterylevel to low <30% , so I guess i wont get any luck out of flashing with fastboot right now
i'm booted into bootloader now, and charging, but I need to keep the screen alive, otherwise it will stop charging, guess it is going to be a long day.
will try flashing afterwards
EDIT: Bad news, it is not charging in bootloader, its only getting power to stay alive, not charging.
yes it cut

I was just trying to flsah the new CWM beforehand, but it says batterylevel to low <30% , so I guess i wont get any luck out of flashing with fastboot right now
i'm booted into bootloader now, and charging, but I need to keep the screen alive, otherwise it will stop charging, guess it is going to be a long day.
will try flashing afterwards
EDIT: Bad news, it is not charging in bootloader, its only getting power to stay alive, not charging.

fastboot erase cache did the job... tried all the other things at 1st of course, as i couldn't see how erasing my cache would solve a charging issue, but now you know. You can boot and charge after that. was almost on my way to buy a new phone :victory:

[Q] HTC One X keeps turning off after new rom install

Hello all,
I'm having a bit of a problem with my HTC.
Just flashed the Tripnraver CM rom. I flashed the boot.img, then went to CWM, did
a wipe data, format system, then install zip from sd..
After the first boot (welcome, choose your language), I choose my language and then
the phone just turns off without an error message.
When I turn the phone back on, it boots normally (and again with the welcome screen).
Then again I choose my language and I can complete the setup.
Once the setup is complete, it turns off again. When I use my phone for like 5 minutes,
it will also turns off with no reason..
I flashed the correct boot.img provided in the zip.
Also, i searched the forum for people with the similar problem, but I didn't found anything
that could help me.
This is driving me crazy, I can't use my phone normally, it keeps powering off all of the sudden!
Is there someone who can provide me some information or help with this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Are you certain you wiped everything properly? Do the whole process once again and flash this script instead of wiping manually : https://www.dropbox.com/s/mh1mcpe3v2y9c1a/Super wipe script.zip
and also don't forget to fastboot erase cache after flashing the boot.img via fastboot!
Thanks for your quick response!
Gonna try it again and this time with the super wipe.
I'll post again after the progress is complete.
Okay, I flashed the boot.img, then erased cache, did a full wipe with the super wipe u linked.
Phone boots normally (ofcourse first boot takes some time), did the setup (welcome blabla),
the phone didn't went off 1 time! I guess I didn't wiped the correct way.
As far of now, my phone works normally. I waited for like 15 minutes before I made a post, because
maby the problem wasn't solved.
Thanks mate, I really appreciate it! +1
**edit** Actually I still don't know what I did wrong. You think the problem was because of the ''not correct wipe''?
Dammit, it's back again.. It turns off again.. for no reason.
This is driving me crazy ...
Do you (or others) got some more tips?
Aarrghhh!! Dammit! No idea why's this happening...
try to flash a different rom and see whether it's happening or not? Repeat the same steps to flash the new rom... (even the boot.img)
Thanks again for your reply.
I flashed another rom ( RD MIUI this time), same routine, flash boot.img, erase cache, in CWM super wipe,
then install zip from sd card. Then my phone boots into the welcome screen, and AGAIN it turns off..
I really want to throw my phone out of the windows right now..
I've not seen this problem on XDA forums so far, so i think no one can help me with this one ?
I'm beginning to think it's a hardware problem now!
Post the result of fastboot getvar version-main Will find a RUU or a nandroid backup for your device...
This would be the last thing that I could help you with... Go back to stock and see whether problem persists... if so, send it to HTC for warranty!
Alright.. thats sad to hear.. ..
My version is 3.14.401.31.
I think I can't bring it to HTC because I unlocked my bootloader so my warranty is void.

Download this RUU: http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
lock your bootloader: fastboot oem lock
Run the ruu on PC with admin privileges! It will take you back to full stock... Now see whether the problem persists or not!
Ig it still does, send it to HTC... Yeah, unlocked bootloader might void your warranty, but I don't think there's anything that you can do to solve it by yourself...

Actually the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I used the wipe script as suggested by @vin4yak and followed exactly as he has instructed all to no avail. Then tried something slightly different, i used the wipe script for cache, data and system but I used the PC to format the sdcard and my Hox is fine now. Don't know why it worked but it did. Format sdcard as fat32 but change allocation size to 32 in the drop down, it should be 16 as default
Bite me
I feel your pain.
I've had this issue for quite some time.
My Phone went to HTC early on for the WIFI issue, I mentioned the rebooting issue and they said there was no issue. It's a real pain as sometimes it will go away for a few days and then return. it happens when it's freshly wiped and installed, it happens when the phone has been in use for months.
Does your Front facing crash when apps try to use it. If I use ANY rom that isn't based directly from the 4.2.2 sense ROM it goes weird.
I have flashed all manner of ROMs to try and solve it. I will post here if I find anything.
it's such a shame but I won't be buying another HTC anytime soon, HTC Desire/HD/Sensation/One X all have had really severe issues. My wife had a Galaxy S2 and now a Sony Z1. I'm thinking I get a Sony Z2 and be done with the issues.
