When I placed my preorder for the 10 using my Amex card, Digital River placed a pending test billing of US$1.99 on my card to check that it was a valid account. A couple of days before the 10 shipped they placed a pending charge on my cc for the US$599 plus sales tax. That charge has now completely disappeared from my cc statement. It's not in the pending charges nor in the recent charges. It has been removed and is not charged to my account
Anyone else have this experience? I wonder what they're doing. A free phone would be nice, but. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

If anyone still needs a Micro USB OTG adapter and doesn't want to wait a couple weeks for one from China, I found this listing on eBay for a nice angled adapter within the US for $8.95.
I actually already had a regular straight adapter, but it sticks way out and tends to get in the way when I have it connected. The angled adapter runs along the side and makes it much nicer to use. I ordered this one Thursday afternoon and it already arrived Saturday morning!
I thought I'd point this out in case anyone wants to get one without having to wait. I ordered my first cable from China, but when I decided to replace that with an angled cable I decided an extra couple bucks was worth a two day rather than two week ship time.

Doesn't PayPal allow you to pay with a credit card without having an account? Does the country restriction block that as well? What country are you trying to ship to?

I purchased 2 Xperia Ion's from Ebay USA for reselling, now its hard time to find an unlock code.
I ordered from cellunlock.net but after 6 working days they want me to confirm the imei number coz the one which I supplied is incorrect (its 100% correct actually)
Can anyone help me out?
Tried ordering from remoteseller.com but as the seller is indian I cannot make a PayPal payment
Just an update, filed a claim on cellunlock.net and they refunded me promptly.
Funny because 8 days after the order they say the IMEI i entered was wrong (which is absurd), the IMEI was 100% correct.
I filed a claim at 6am in the morning (Indian Time) and by 7 I got a refund, which is more funny because my guess was they work in US time zones and close at 6pm.
Scammy minds at work!

I tried trial access then it asked me for full address and phone number so I entered everything from Empire State Building lol. After it went through and got it activated, I went back to Google wallet after I turned off my VPN. I changed back my address to the UK and now everything works just fine, your payment will also go through
It works, you just have to change your credit card adress to an america adress zip code and phone number so that google wallet will accept it even if your credit card is not an america one. Tthen activate it and change it back to your own adress and it works flawless.
Don't know if the payment will work at the end of the month. Just have to wait till 31th of July.
I signed up in the UK, using a US address on my UK card the day they announced it.... They've taken payments fine and it's all still working very well

They refund it back when you cancel the subscription ! That's a fee to confirm your payment method !
