Hi everyone,
It's been some time since I last came here.
I am facing a problem in my LG G3 and was wondering if anyone here can help me.
My phone is D855 was on V21A, Global ROM, rooted. I was thinking about updating to 6.0, so I used Autorec to flash TWRP to backup everything before the update. After Autorec I used terminal emulator (as I always do) to reboot into recovery. And then, the phone kinda died. The screen is always black, no LED blink nothing.
When I connect the phone to the PC it gets recognized as AndroidNet USB port.
I look through the forums for solution and came across this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359
I opened up the phone and did the short-wire and my phone got recognized as Qualcom 9008. I used the tool named: BoardDiag and it could copy stuff to my phone.
However, the issue that I faced was that I could not locate the TOT file of V21A. I tried the TOT of V10E and it did not work.
I tried following the method of LGExtract tool to turn the KDZ file to TOT but that did not work either. What happened is that the tool turn the KDZ to CAB and then when I try to extract the CAB it says that it is corrupted. Tried another KDZ from another source and the same result.
What I need now is one of two things:
Either the TOT file of Global V21a
or a working method for KDZ to TOT conversion.
Thanks for any suggestions.
[UPDATE]
I tried renaming the KDZ to TOT but it could not be extracted to the right MBN files.
I am facing the same problem with my LG G3 D850. I flashed a D851 Variant version of the rom and after fixing the hard brick part i am stuck flashing the .tot file because its considering my phone as D851 model. I tried to flash the LGUP_8974.dll to try to fix it and nothing.

Same problem here.
did you find a solution????
Please HELP
.....
I used the same short-wire method and flashed the only TOT I could find, which was 10E. However, this time I flashed the system partition as well. In the guide it says it would take a long time so don't do it. I did it anyway. It took reeeeeeeeeaaaaalllllly long time. Over 4 hours.
After finishing flashing I place back the battery as indicated in the guide and the phone restarted and was stuck at LG screen. I connected it to the computer and it was finally recognized as an LG Android phone.
Then I used the official LG update tool. It detected the phone and said there was an update. I proceeded with the update and everything went back to normal. I even had the same data and apps because I did not overwrite the data partition.
I hope this helps.

I dont understand why this happens because i follow the rules exactly.
I was using MM with TWRP+Root.(Not kingroot or other, just SuperSu 2.52) I was flashed .zip file from Xda. I mean i was using L and after that .zip files pops out for MM, i just simply flash the MM zip file and got it worked.
After flashing kdz file with LGUP now my phone stuck at twrp. Now i stuck at twrp. I tried to restore my backup on external_sd but didn't work either. Any ideas?
LG Up can't wipe twrp , so tried flashing again with LG Flashtool with lastest driver.

I had same problem with it being stuck at 60% what I did was not to press cancel or unplug but pressed retry and it worked. Also change the language to English and the question marks will disappear.
As for the device disconnected issue i'm not sure how to solve that one you could try running flashtool in windows 7 compatible mode.

Hi All,
I received the official LG OTA MM update for my H815 (TWN) a week ago and I've just noticed that the bluetooth function now doesn't work at all. It won't even turn on and there is no MAC address associated with bluetooth in settings (It just says "unavailable"). On 5.1.1 bluetooth worked fine.
I've been trying all day to downgrade back to LP 5.1.1 using LGUP but it gives the "TOT file is invalid[1]" error with every KDZ file I have tried.
I have tried these KDZs:
Europe H81520C_00_1218.kdz
Europe OPEN H81510D.kdz
TWN H81520b_00_1218.kdz
The phone is running MM 6.0 and V20c
LGUP detects it as "H815" on COM4 when connected.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? I really need the bluetooth to work and this is soooooo frustrating.
Thanks in advance.

Flash recovery firmware using LG Bridge. That'll solve the problem.
You seem to have flashed wrong (partially incompatible) KDZ file on your device. Talking about H815 itself, there are multiple versions based upon provider and country. So flash recovery firmware, and dont do it when your device is on.
Here is how you should do it:
1. Download LG bridge on your computer.
2. Switch off your Device, pull out your battery.
3. Attach your USB Cable from desktop to mobile
4. Hold volume up button, and put your battery while holding it. It should switch on itself if the USB is attached and you are holding volume up before putting in battery.
5. Once its on Bootloader, flash firmware recovery from LG Bridge.

Thanks Dark$tar. I did what you suggested and the LGbridge reinstalled MM6.0 onto the phone. I then did a hard reset and nothing is different. The bluetooth functionality still doesn't work at all and any attempt to flash the phone with LGUP still givers the "TOT file is invalid[1]" error with every KDZ I have. Thanks for your help though, at least I know I can recover the phone with LGBridge should I need to again.

Glad to hear that I could help! Also, if your bluetooth is still not working, it seems to be a hardware issue. Now that you have flashed the stock firmware via LG Bridge, you can claim warranty and get it fixed!

Also, though I think you wouldn't have made this mistake but since you mentioned it installed MM, so I want to ask:
Did you click on firmware upgrade or the firmware recovery? Note that the firmware update will simply use the base OS files and will replace the new ones and recovery firmware will replace the entire OS (refurbished). The Recovery Option is on Bottom right, in form of text which you need to click whereas the update option is the button on the same screen in the center that you don't have to click. Both of them have completely different functionality.
If you have done it right, well then I am 90% certain its the hardware issue. But I believe that the firmware backup is likely to install the November's released version of LP not MM (unless LG has recently changed that) which is why I am wondering.
Yeah, I clicked the blue recovery text in the Bottom right corner. It definitely installed MM 6.0 onto the phone.
Also, I have found out the cause of the bluetooth issue and unfortunately I have to wait for the next Android update. There was a large discussion on code.google.com about the exact problem I have and the current workaround requires the phone to be rooted. I don't think it's possible to root the H815 TWN yet.

Hi, I have the same problem, did you find a solution to "tot file is invalid" error message?
No, I didn't. Every one I tried gave me that error. I just gave up in the end.
I really need help. I've searched around all over the web and on here with no solution. What happened was I tried to downgrade my G3 to stock 4.4.2 KitKat from 5.0.1 Lollipop. The flash tool went all the way to 89% and failed. I took out the battery and now my phone just boot to the Android recovery after the LG logo. When I try to use Flashtool to flash it again, my IMEI and S/N show as null and flash tool fails at 6%. I can't find a solution. I'm able to go into download mode and recovery which the recovery mode only has wipe data to factory.
I'm running Windows 7-64bit. I've tried different Windows version and 32 bit version and none works. I've sent it to a store and they thought they could fix it because they say it is software issues. They couldn't fix it.
I try downloading different Roms variant and .KDZ and .ToT files but nothing works. I've tried both upgrade dl and board dl in Flashtool but nothing works. I've used the D852 DLL, the generic DlL and even the DLL extracted from the .KDZ file.
Please somone help me. There are people with the same issues and either they got it fix or their thread end unsolved. What can I do.

This is the dll file i´ve just extraced from the H81520p kdz.
But this dll is normaly only needed when you get Errors in LGUP while flashing or flashing stuck on 11% or 22% etc.

I´m sure this wont help you out, but try it. Please point to the Refurbish tab in LGUP, the Upgrade won´t work.
My other Idea is to crash the Phone totaly, delete all Partions via TWRP and restore them to a working System.

Hello. Long story short, I have no luck with LGUP or the LG flash tool. The phone is recognized in both tools, but on LGUP(ver 1.14) it shows up as “unknown” and on LG Flash I go as far as 2% of the flashing process and then an error occurs. All of this whilst the phone is in Download mode. Don’t know anything more about the phone, since I just bought it off of a dude. The phone is operable only in download mode, otherwise when I try to boot normally, I get stuck on the LG logo (bootloop idk). I’ve tried different KDZ and TOT roms with different DLLs but no luck. Can somebody guide me? Thanks a lot in advance.
