After the Marshmallow update cellular network isn't working anymore. I've tried different KDZ images, but with most of them I don't even get signal bars.
Only with the 20f version I got the signal bars back. But still only emergency calls.
Also tried the Android 5.1 KDZ, but no luck... Tested it with 2 different sim cards (different providers).
The simcard it self is recognized (the phone ask for my pincode)
I'm out of ideas..

No, the hard lock was triggerd because of a bug in the update. I had to send it to LG repairs.
Maybe a kernel issue check whether u have stock kernal or a custom kernal or do u get full signal 4g on lollipop ?

same problem's here, on 5.1 no problems on signal but now emergency call only
but the phone still can search a network but cannot locked a network
wifi still function

It's a UK vodafone G4 which I got unlocked and was using my O2 sim without issues. I ported the O2 number to iD Mobile (three network) and can use SMS as well as mobile data but calling doesn't work at all.
I put a Three sim in and it's exactly the same issue. The iD sim works fine in other phones. Other sim cards work fine in the G4. It's just iD and Three sims that won't make or receive calls.
I since used LGUP to install a kdz file (V20c-234-15) in the hope anything vodafone will be removed but that didn't make any difference. In the phone Settings if I check Network Status it shows the iD connections, in Status it shows Unknown Phone Number, in Network Mode it displays 2G/3G/4G, APN shows all correct iD settings. If I search for Available Networks it displays all the usual UK networks and only lets me select iD network.
Customer service said wait a few more days after porting and suggested a faulty sim (yet works in other phones) but after both iD and Three sims showing the same issue I've not much hope in their suggestions.
I know others that bought the vodafone G4 and unlocked it for Three haven't had any issues. I only found 1 other post online that has the exact same issue as me but their post hasn't updated since last month.
I don't know what to try. Other sims work, just not iD/Three. Any ideas for me to try?
I've since tried another kdz file for lollipop as I know for sure the sim worked before the number was ported before the phone was upgraded to MM.
Still doesn't work for calls, only data and SMS.
Can anyone offer more suggestions to try?

This is a weird problem maybe your problem is modem or wrong kdz file. Downlaod right file and flash again and be sure that you click refrush that is makes wipe in LGUP.(I use LGUP)

I had this problem with stock rom too though. I only started trying more kdz files in the hope that might work. Issue started the moment my number ported from O2 to iD Mobile.
Wierdly the phone doesn't like Three network sims either now and those worked fine before the number port happened.

On my LG G4 Dual SIM H818N phone which is running Android 6.0 (kernel 3.10.84) in Singapore, I am facing connection drop issues like,
- Network Signal is visible on my phone, but people are not able to reach me
- Network Signal search keeps going and my phone is not reachable
I am using only single SIM card and I've tried multiple SIM cards but the issue still exists, so I suspect this is either LG phone issue or Android issue.
Troubleshooting done so far:
- Factory reset
- Cache data reset
- Switch to GSM (3G) instead of LTE (4G)
I can't root the phone as its under warranty. No luck so far.. any help will be appreciated.
You can try to reflash the correct stock firmware for your device through LGUP tool, root not needed. But understand the process thoroughly first. All disclaimers apply as in the xda thread.......Otherwise take it to service center.

I own lg g4 h812 Canadian version
I bought it from canada and without using a Canadian sim brought it back to India. Here's the problem.
Indian sims like idea airtel vodafine or bsnl they work sometimes i can even make a call sometimes but i don't know how but the phone starts showing emergency calls only even when there is network. The data lte/3g/gprs doesn't work at all. Even the default apn doesn't appear.
So is this a hardware problem
If the sim was Locked then Indian sims should not work at all but i can make calls if i restart the phone.

LG H812 data and calling issue
bro it is all because of incompitable lte and wcdma bands. lg g4 canadian version has different bands that not works with indian service providers

Access the hidden menu on your phone by entering the following on your phone keypad:
*#546368#*812#
then go to Field Test > Modem Settings > LTE Band Selection and select the bands appropriate to your network carrier to see if they're OK or they Fail. Then, still in Modem Settings, scroll down to Network Mode and do the same.
If no help there, your choices are to:
- In Settings > Mobile Data, click on the 3 dots on the right of the top menu bar and select Mobile Networks - Network Mode and select your preferred Network mode. Then below there go to Access point names and touch the 3 dots on the right of the top menu bar there and enter the New APN settings for the network carrier you're using now.
- if no success there, wipe your modemst1 and modemst2 and reboot - can solve some modem problems.
- if still nothing - flash an appropriate KDZ (good site for the H812 KDZ's - https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h812-firmwares/ ) for your phone model (if your carrier there has VOLTE support for the LG G4, try a Rogers/Fido KDZ), with LGUP-NEW.

Not yet I have not tried to kdz yet and the phone belongs to my cousin I will try flashing different kdz

hello guys , i urgently need help with my G4 i updated my phone using lg software and after the phone done i lost the network
i tried to flash it many time with orginal stock and even downgraded to the same , all the roms i used , using flash tool gave me the same issue no network its too weak network not dead 100 % but almost dead

Lg g4 h815 .No service. Need help pls
I am from india. I recieved an international version lg g4 h815. Software version H81510h. I upgraded to H81520L MM using LGUP. After that I'm not getting network. The mobile network option in settings is inaccessible and not highlighted. The phone works perfectly appart from that. I tried searching the issue. I guess it has something to do with the change in modem after update.
Its a case of very low signal reception. I can get 50% signal where it used to be 100. And no network where i used to get 50% network. Anyone solved this issue?
Check your imei i suspect that your modemst is corrupted..
Hey guys i'm having some problems with my lg g3 d851, since the screen of my beloved lg g2 died after 2 years and a half, my friend gave me his lg g3 to use it as a tablet since the phone doesnt recognize any signal at all, right now is running the stock rom for android marshmallow, everything works fine except for the signal that either always keeps in "no service", i already try to put another sim card on the phone and its showing the same problem, already checked the IMEI on the swappa blacklist and everything is okay, here are a few screenshots, any thoughts on how to solve this problem would be very appreciated thank you!

hi thanks for replying, yeah i already modified the APN settings under mobile networks with the APN of my carrier that is IUSACELL (AT&T México) and is still showing the same problem "no service" or "searching"
I had the same problem, try installing another modem, or send me an pm, I have the same mobile company (right now I'm having some problems with the at&t mexico)
I am having a similar problem with my d851 30g. It isvnot rooted and running stock android 6.0 tmobile rom. I am with movistar (mexico) it will have signal and be on the network and then eject the sim saying invalid then reset. Did factory reset. Movistar sim worked for about an hour and then same thing. Have a s from telcel switched and no problem till this Morning. Did the same thing and restarted. Recognized the sim and all fine. I am new to this and could use a little help. As it is connecting with the other sim and not my movistar sim. Possible software issue or corrupted sim?
