i like to share my experience on beanstalk kitkat , i was using c-11 alot of bugs is there and like to say thanks to whome are trying to solve it and recently release 6th version update but about 2 hours back i installed beanstalk in art and later flash with minimal google gapps so far working perfect and main thing for me that network signal has much improve like there was no signal in corner of my hall with c-11 but now i m getting signal ,this is my experiance on this rom in these afew hours and of-course alot of new things added to setting that you should try it i think it worth to go for this instead of c-11 . so far working perfect let see its bug's later , good job , thanks
Yes the ROM is realy good but Android OS and Googel Play Service needs 15-18% battery. I hope MrGezz can fix that.
:fingers-crossed:
agree with you. beanstalk is a great rom. only the battery bothers me a little. when my phone is standby, most battery is used by clock.
thanks for developers:good:
Hi to all of you. I recently did buy a LG G3 with KitKat 4.4.2. Phone is awesome, battery lasts a lot for this screen over a day and a half (medium usage), without lagginess, maybe after restart it takes about 1 second to find everything but generally i am very happy with my purchcase. I have some questions though. Recently i got a OTA update about sth vcalled 20e. Its an update ~555mb and after some search i found out that this is the Lollipop official firmware. After plugging my phone into the LG PC Suite, i found out that even a newer version is available the 20f firmware ~over 1gb. Here starts my questions. Is it worth to go from kitkat to jellybean? Or is it better to stick with kitkat until they fix all the bugs i found out on forums. (So far i saw battery doesnt last so long, wireless charging has problems, lte doesnt work on most devices, others said about lagginess, most apps do not work with the new ART system). So what are your thoughts about this? Also i want to remove some google apps like google drive, and i want to remove this McAfee. Is there any possible way to do that easily without ruining my phone?

Stay on 4.4.2. Most of your research is correct - 5.0 is laggy, drains battery faster, there is "while on wireless charger, screen turns itself on constanly after charge reached 100%" bug, etc.
No, on 5.0 you can delete mcafee only via code from their support. And there is no way to delete Gapps wout root, which can only be obtained by flashing prerooted rom.
About apps - 99.9% of apps do work with ART. However, some - like Webkit-based apps - do crash sometimes.
About lte - only affects people who bought phones that were intended for different region. Region can be changed, btw, so it's not a real problem - it's just a ton of n00bs whining about "bug" they brought on themselves.

So you propose to stick with KitKat 4.4.2 and wait a couple of months until Lollipop gets better?, because i also heard the new art system is faster and more reliable. And generally the Lollipop is meant to be faster than kitkat. If you all advise me so, i will keep this thread open so that i can reply back or even ask more when the time comes

Well, i do advise to stick to 4.4.2 until LG fixes 5.0. However, there are thousands of members on xda. You may want to hear other's opinions before deciding anything.
P.S.: ART is faster than dalvik, there is no compilation-in-runtime overhead.
I'd wait and see if it eventually gets to 5.0.2. In earlier versions of LP, there is a memory leak that causes the system to slow down after awhile. 5.0.2 apparently fixes this. However, I have 5.0.2 on my Nexus 7 tablet and after awhile, I still notice performance issues that require a reboot, so I don't know if they really have the memory leak fixed or not. That's a pretty nasty bug that needs to be fixed before I install it on this phone.
Currently, KK runs great. And, if you want the LP look, you can do a few things:
Install Nova launcher and switch to LP icons
Install Xposed (which won't work on LP) and there is an Xposed module to give you the LP nav bar icons
KK on this phone runs great for me. No issues and I have no reason to go to LP at this time. Until they get the memory leak fixed, no dice for me. I love having a phone that doesn't require a reboot.
Agreed with most of the above. I actually upgraded mine to Lollipop. The experience was horrific. I went back to Kitkat and absolutely have no issues with the phone. It's a dream compared to Lollipop.
I also rooted and use the Tweaksbox to add lollipop styling. I won't be moving to lollipop again any time soon.

My advice is go for it. In my experience with the lollipop update all those little hick ups that appear occasionally (especially in animations and while pulling down notification bar) are gone. Lollipop is fluid and smooth, and rock stable. So far i haven't faced any FCs, glitches etc.. Everything is working fine (well, at least on my phone) and better than what it used to be on kitkat. Battery life is as good, if not even slightly better on lollipop.
I came from a nexus 5, and have been a nexus user for the last 3 generations, so i have high standards when it comes to lag and performance.
P.s. i have the 32gb/3gb RAM and i'm on stock firmware.
As an answer from LG Hellas, i got this: That the phone is working whole better and faster than kitkat (as lollipop), and that all errors are fixed. Also the lollipop update can use the whole processing power of the phone and as a result toghether with the art system, the phone is working better and faster with less battery drain than before. Also downgrading to their lg shops costs :/ . That was their answer to me.
I have a question for you guys. When i play a song sometimes particular songs show wrong album arts. And the correct are blurry. What size should i make them in order to show as good quality?
EDIT
Anything from 1000x1000 up to whatever you like you have some decent and good quality on any song. Because i found a problem and i think many of you out there have this problem as well. If some album arts display wrong, change that track's album to something.

I don't think the rom is your problem.
I was on the last couple of RR builds and my phone didin't even switch off at 10 %
Now I am again on blisppop and this one is at 18% at the moment and all works.
Both are stable as a daily driver.
They are not flawless but usable without to much problems that interfere with daily routine

If it's switching off at 50% I think it could be battery related as nobody is reporting this problem.
The torch is indeed a bug but a minor one but like I said they are not flawless but usable without to much problems that interfere with daily routine.
I think battery life is all the same on RR and blisppop
I get around according GSam 33h 46m battery life and screen on 2h 48m on blisspop measured for a week
update . . . .
plz tell me what is the best rom right now In terms of battery charge now im using blisspop but Battery charge decreases quickly so if im install " monster kernel " it will be better ? or tell me name of another rom ?
touchviz revolution 11
yo touchviz revolution 11 is the best ROM as of now comes with modification in stock rom but still very powerful thanks to devlopers...

What do you want tell, please explain here as i have turned off sync and other services and used greenify and other apps but no gain
amplify and powernap also help with battery drain. its all in the OP. if already are using these three then please diregard this post & maybe someone more knowledgeable will chyme in.

@mrrocketdog thanks for helping me out but it didn't solved my issue. Battery drains heavily only on Lollipop & Marshmallow ROMs but quite stable on KitKat (Using Dalvik) & Stock ROM (4.3). Is this due to ART? I read that ART is more stable in terms of battery performance. But if I take it aside, if I not consider "ART" the main issue so what's the issue? There is a bug of "Mobile Radio Active" in Lollipop ROMs but on PAC-Man, This bug is not existing. I have turned of Sync, GPS, Profiles & Without GAPPS & My Apps. My S3 Drains Battery On Usage & Battery Option Gives Me No Information, No Major Cause Of This Battery Drain
i am all out of ideas unless maybe kernel related (?). but thats.really beyond me , so again ; hopefully someone.else will chyme in.

Helo to everyone,
I'm facing a serious problem lately. No matter which stock MM rom I flash I get wakelock on Android OS proccess. Let me explain all in details. The way I flash a new rom is as everybody - I wipe all partitions except internal memory and external sd card. Then I flash the new rom and later I restore my apps using titanium backup pro. I find it very usefull as with it I can restore my programs the way they were setup before the rom change/update. It's very usefull if somebody like me is doing some tweaks for battery life with amplify, greenify and etc. in which there are a lot of tweaks and settings that are needed to be applied. There are several several nice guides on xda on how to get a nice battery like my favorite one from our member v7 - ✭[GUIDE][07-02-2016]Extreme Battery Life Thread(Greenify+Amplify+Power Nap)✭ It's very time consuming to make all the tweaks on this guide on a new rom one by one so I use titanium to restore the amplify app with the setup. Anyway all was working fine and I was able to get very nice SOT and great battery life and almost no drain if I don't touch my phone - here is a screenshot what batterylife I was getting before - screenshot 1
In a few days before a new versions from our favorite modified stock roms were posted and I decided to update my rom with one of them and then after setting my phone as usual I noticed extremely hard wakelock on Android OS process. Now my phone cannot enter on deepsleep and if it enters it doesn't sleeps long enough. I did some research and the only thing I found was it maybe from Google play services. I made some screenshots from BetterBattery stats program to show for what I'm talking about. Please check all the screenshots and they speak for themselfs. I tried several guides on how to fix playstore and services but with no luck. I'm almost pretty sure that the problems are in google playstore and google play services as it seems they are running 99% of the time and are preventing my phone to enter deepsleep. I tried to freeze and remove them and my phone entered deepsleep with no problems. I don't play games and don't use any battery hog programs - the only program that is running all the time is facebook which I moded to use without messenger and it was working fine. From the screenshots it is clearly visible that it is not draining my battery. Please if anybody can help me fix this problem please write me what I'm missing or doing wrong.
I had uploaded all the screenshots on my dropbox that I made to help you guys find what my problem is. They are uploaded here also. Thank you for your time ! Wish you all to have the best battery life that is possible
Hi guys,
Today I noticed that the developer of genesys rom found about this wakelock in Android OS proccess and he removed the links to his rom until he fixes it and release a fixed version. I also read that other guys are experiencing the same issue. That is some kind of good news for me because I started thinking that I was doing something wrong, but now after I read that other people are experiencing the same issue on the new version of the genesys rom (3.9) I feel better as the problem is not at my phone and apps setup. So now all we have to do is wait till the problem gets fixed. There wasn't any responses to my thread maybe because all is looking good from my screenshots but it is acting wierd and maybe nobody wasn't able to give me a solution for this problem. But I'm sure that the developers are doing their job and they will get it fixed. Anyway I'm very interesed why this happened and would like to know more about it but we will see this in future. So if somebody else is experiencing the same problem - let's wait patiently till it get's fixed. Thank you all for spending some time to check the thread. Good luck.
A better tool that can help figure what is causing these problems is battery historian.

Generate a bugreport, check it in a txt editor and remove any sensitive info, then upload to the server setup.
You want to do this at the end of a charge cycle so you can closely examine where the drain is happening and maybe get more clues as to why.
Your case is more complicated since you are using a rom. But maybe this can still help.
Varna ? you come from gsmarena country
