If you are on lollipop and you rooted without unlocking the bootloader, you can unroot by writing a kdz on lollipop rendering the phone clean, then you send it. There will be noting to see for the lg service.

It is because the locked bootloader will not allow the phone to boot if the recovery, system or boot (kernel) have not the exact checksum that it expects.

its still not clear to me... if you have unlocked bootloader, can you have root and recovery for 6.0 MM. casue i think i read some post saying if you want root and twrp then go back to 5.1.1.
is it because they havent found a way or MM cant be rooted? sorry if am not getting this right . nut i rather ask then to not know.

To make it clear: if you have unlocked bootloader you can do anything - install twrp, root etc. If you have locked bootloader you can only root in 5.1, you cannot root in 6.0. With locked bootloader you can not have twrp either in 5.1 or 6.
I hope it is clearer now.

Morning!Buf if the device is on bootloop i can still flash a kdz with lg up?is it possible?

It depends, most of them can, as the download mode does not require a lot of power and the big cores are not in use, but some could not connect the phone with lgup

and in case u cant flash kdz if the phone cant connect with lgup u are done?u are out of warranty then?i need root so bad!!!hahahahha!!

Q/A: How to Unlock Zenfone 2 ZE550ML/ZE551ML's Bootloader by Unofficial Method?

Hello guys, i'm planning to unlock my phone's bootloader, since its my first time on my Zenfone(I only use tethered recovery to flash root and xposed, i also have experience of unlocking the bootloader before on my previous device Xperia ZR but done it in a official way) i was wondering if the unofficial method i'm reading on some sites won't void my Asus warranty?
If any of this links is the right tutorial for unlocking bootloader in a unofficial way, kindly tell me if its still working for the latest 2.20.40.184 LP Firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenf...-root-t3155884
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenf...ocked-t3138547
Plz correct the links above
This is the correct link http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/congrats-to-bootlocker-unlocked-t3138547
Try it with the current firmware if it doesn't work then u can try dowgrading
U should see a white boot screen instead of black if its unlocked

I see, after using the unofficial unlocker asus won't recognize my device from using it right? so i still got my warranty even if i flash MM Beta to relock my bootloader?

Yes if they don't find it via other means then u r ok with warranty
I don't recommend flashing the MM Beta Firmware cause it can potentially brick ur device

Actually, i already tried MM Beta before but i got annoyed by the bugs and lack of root functionality before so i reverted back to LP Stock.
Gonna wait for the MM Final release instead, atleast now i know how to unlock bootloader when MM Final is release incase there's no Tethered Recovery yet. thanks again for the response and tip.

I highly doubt that the current bootloader unlock method would work on MM Official release cause it doesnt work on MM Beta
Maybe some new method will be sorted out:fingers-crossed:

King root 6.0 does it work?

Has anyone tried the King root method for 6.0? When I Check if root is available it says a method was found I just don't want to risk my phone breaking again
Interesting in curious if this works please update

They have mentioned more than once that root access cannot be obtained on MM unless the bootloader was unlocked !
So, don't get hopes on something that cannot be done ?

yeah after that i posted the question

Can't downgrade G3 from Marshmallow to Lollipop

Backstory: My G3 was hard bricked and I got it working using board diag and a 4.4 TOT file...
After that, I mistakenly flashed a Marshmallow ROM (Global D85530B_00_1217.kdz) using LGUP tool.
Now, I want to downgrade it to 5.0 or 5.1. But no matter what Lollipop ROM I use (I've tried UK D85520I and D85520H, N Europe D85520F and some others), I can't get them to work.
The problem is the they flash fine but always get stuck on boot (on LG logo). *
When I flash the 6.0 ROM again, it boots without any problems.
What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this?

That was my first to go solution but it in this case, it doesn't have any effect. It boots right to the same point and gets stuck.

If you have lollipop installed and rooted your device you could install TWRP and disable them from here instead.
But this requires that you have installed TWRP in FIsH before so it doesn't work when your device bootloops already
