Has anyone tried the King root method for 6.0? When I Check if root is available it says a method was found I just don't want to risk my phone breaking again
Interesting in curious if this works please update

They have mentioned more than once that root access cannot be obtained on MM unless the bootloader was unlocked !
So, don't get hopes on something that cannot be done ?

I think testpoint unlock will work

According to
http://androidflip.com/unlock-xperia-phones-bootloader-without-losing-drm-data-track-id-working/
If it says the Bootloader unlock allowed is NO the bootloader is already unlocked is that right ?
That can't be right because mine is looked to orange and also says 'no' for boot loader unlocking and i have installed a bug fix update OTA and 2.3.4 via pc companion which would both brick a phone with an unlocked boot loader and mine downloaded fine.
Mine said no to unlock bootloader and was locked on o2 but I paid to have the sim unlocked and the bootloader for a small price of a web site, its a 100% safe and also you can still do OTA updates with out a brick.

Use jinx13 on this website, he unlocked my play, he will provide you with all the software you need, he does the unlock remotely using teamviewer, all you need is a paperclip.

No not at all, you don't need to sim unlock your device before you unlock the bootloader. Infact one of the features you get with the paid unlock method is, it will sim unlock your device too. So paying for a sim unlock first is a waste of money.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
I looked every were and im sure every unlocking bootloader method was you had to have your sim unlocked first. If I new that I wouldnt of payed and I would of done it my self.

I'm serious, i know there is alot of conflicting information right? But the deal is, factory unlocked phones can use the official bootloader unlock method. Sim locked phones, even if you get the sim unlocked, it does not unlock fastboot, thats why you need the testpoint method, and a sim unlocked device defo isnt required for that, because my device was still locked to o2 when i got my bootloader unlocked.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Ok lol I looked at to much conflicting info then. I knew I should of just tried it. Do you still get OTA updates with out bricking?

Have you unlocked your boot loader? or is it locked?
You need to start there.. If you installed the CWM for locked bootloaders it will not help you as you can not install a new kernel.
How do I find out?

Goto the Phone Application and type in:*#*#7378423#*#*
Then tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If: Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes, then you can Unlock your bootloader. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked
Please Press the THANK YOU Button, if it helped you )
It doesent give me the root status option

Sent from my R800at using Tapatalk 2
lets not make it more complicated then it is
1 if you dont know if you bootloader is unlocked its NOT !. you need to unlock it first before you move on from here ! once that is done you move on to step 2 .
2 if you have CMW flashed. then when you turn on your phone Click the volume up button untill it boots in to recovery. once ther you can flash CM9.
if you have the GMS version you can do it your self directly from sony's website. Not sure about verizon and other CMDA versions.
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
Ps. Remember to put CM9 zip you Downloaded on the root of the SD card. otherwise you cant ofcause not flash it.

If i unlock my phone with serial code generated from imei can i install custom roms for my phone?
No.. You need to root your phone first. Read through the different threads before attempting anything so you don't ruin your phone. I would start with the FAQ.

Sim unlocking is separate from rooting. It's got nothing to do with it.However, unlocking the boot loader does. Many devices require you to unlock your bootloader to install custom firmware after rooting.

you obviously have no idea what you're saying/doing. i don't recommend you root or unlock your device, at least until you read and understand what you're doing. jumping in headfirst so fast is not a good idea. nobody wants to possibly end up with such an expensive paperweight.
Hey guys, I need some help. How can I unlock the bootloader on the N3 and root it? This is my first time to have a locked phone. Altough it supports different SIM cards, the bootloader is locked. And yeah - should I wait until KitKat update comes out or should I root it now? Thanks in advance!

Great thing about T-Mobile is bootloaders are not locked. Just root first from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466423 and install your custom recovery afterwards.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
The T-Mobile Note 3 does not have a locked bootloader, simply use Odin to flash a custom recovery and/or root the stock OS. It is carrier locked but not bootloader locked. Only the AT&T and Verizon variants are locked (and I think Verizon has a "developer" unlocked variant).

This was answered in your other post. You gonna need to read and research. Knowledge is your friend. The devs here put in the first line what phones the rom will work for. If it a T-Mobile phone then you in right area.

This phone is on latest version 4.4.2 kit kat.
I've seen the root videos on YouTube and haven't seen any of them unlock the bootloader. Is that not necessary?
Secondly if I mess up in the root process and soft brick it, what software can I use to restore back to normal. Is there one made by LG? Like apples "iTunes" and Samsung "Odin"
I'm wanting to root to unlock phone to use with tmobile.

Use ioroot25 for root.
Use auto-rec for TWRP. Then follow unlock methods to use gsm carriers. Just know you will only get hspa. As the phone has different radios

Also is this a factory unlock? Will I lose it if I need to do a restore to stock rom unrooted?

Auto-rec will install TWRP recovery. Unlock boot loader and give kernel that works with it.
With recovery you can backup and restore if something goes wrong.
