Enabling advanced calling on Verizon note 5 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note5

This forum is more active the Verizon so I'm posting here. I have an Verizon note 5 and currently have my att sim card using it. I can't switch on advanced calling from the menu. Do I have to have a Verizon sim card to enable it?

Is there a terminal command I can use to enable it? I don't have data while on calls

Using International SIM in Verizon Note 4?

My wife wants to upgrade from her Note 2 to a Note 4 but she spends a large amount of time overseas - China and Malaysia. We know that the Note 2 will work overseas (without a SIM card change) to make quick international calls. But if we are going to spend a long time in China and Malaysia she would like to get a local SIM card to temporarily replace her Verizon SIM). Is this possible with the Verizon Note 4?
If you inserted a non Verizon sim card, you can immediately use voice and text. To enable Internet, you have to find out the APN settings of the provider, then change it in the phone under settings - > more networks - > mobile networks - > access point names. Do note that the option to add APN only available if you put in a non-verizon sim card.

Authentication error trying to tether when unlocked

I have a network unlocked ATT LG G4and I am on mobile share plan that allows tethering. I have no problem tethering in the US with my ATT SIM card.
However, when I use another SIM card (for data in europe), I get a message "authentication was unsuccessful" when trying to activate the hotspot.
If I put the same SIM into my galaxy S4, have no problem activating the hotspot and tethering.
Any idea what's going on? Clearly the foreign SIM is fine. And the phone is capable of tethering (on ATT).
I posted this under ATT G4 as well, but I'm not sure if it's particular to ATT.

Dual sim management and hotspot support

Hi guys, I wanted to open this thread to expose the quite strange behavior I am observing on my oneplus 3.
I use two sims. Both have 3G and LTE fully compatible with op3 bands.
Here is the behavior I am witnessing:
1) Let say I start my phone with data enabled on sim 1.
2) phone starts I have data on sim 1 no data sim 2.
3) I start tethering using the wifi hotspot feature. I connect either with an iPad or W7 or W10 laptop
4) devices can access the Internet using op3 hotspot.
5) now I deactivate hotspot. I switch sim data from sim 1 to sim 2.
6) after a minute or so sim 1 no longer has data enabled and sim 2 has 3G/LTE access through the phone.
7) I switch tethering back on.
8) none of my devices are able to access the internet despite having internet directly with the phone.
Only workaround is to restart the phone with data on sim 2 enabled in order to get data access using tethering on sim 2
Based on my experience, is this an expected behavior?
If choose I tried switching sim slots but no luck. I am questioning myself. Is it an issue on one of the sims or Wirth thé phone?
Anyone had a similar experiencece to share?
Thanks
I've been having a similar issue:
OP3 with OOS 3.2.7.
I have two 4G SIMs, one 3 UK and one EE UK. I can use data (3G/4G) on either without issues and swap between them via the settings on the phone, no problem. I can tether on the 3 UK SIM no problem, both with and without the EE SIM in the second slot or first slot.
The EE SIM will not tether at all in the phone, no matter if it is by itself, with the 3 SIM, in slot 1 or 2, but the SIM does work and tether in my trusty Nexus 4.
I've checked the APN settings and done a network settings reset (Settings > Backup & reset > Network settings reset) but nothing helped.
There's a similar thread on the OnePlus forums here.

galaxy s9 unlocked sm acc-g960u1 force wifi calling?

I use the straighttalk byop plan using an at&t sim card. Is there any way to force enable wifi calling?

7T and wifi calling

For any of you on the Beta, do you not have WiFi calling or the enhanced menu in settings/ Sim & Network?
It's probably something with your carrier.
I have the Open Beat 2 and I run dual SIM, TMO & ATT in the US. In the TMO SIM settings I have WiFi calling settings, in the ATT SIM settings I do not. ATT does not support WiFi calling or VoLTE for BYOD devices brought to their network.
