Microphone busted, am I missing something?

I think my mic is busted as ppl cant hear me talk on the other end. This started after I flashed one of the early gb roms but doubt that broke the mic. So I already checked all my settings, flashed a bunch of different roms from scratch and the microphone still wont work. Is there anything else that could be contribution to my defect here?
If not, no biggie as I have my s-on zip and 3.29 ruu ready (hardware 002) to unroot and take it in to sprint. Just hope they can swap it with a new working mic, not like I actually make any phone calls as I didnt even realize the mic was borked for who knows how long.
Same problem for me today. I work for Sprint they will have to replace the device for a bad mic according to the tech I spoke with today because it is attached the the main board. I had hardware 002 as well and my device was an advocate seed device I got the beginning of May.
Sad to see it go, have to start all over with everything again.

Yeah same here, I really didn't want to have to let go of my hardware. Sometimes you get lucky with replacements and will get an older hardware revision since they can be remanufactured. I didn't get lucky, new hardware and all the updates already on there.
Oh well! Swap the wife's phone when she's not looking

Replaced digitizer and still not working!!!

Hiya, will just let you know how far i am, ive been repairs mobile phone screens and lcds and other minor fixes for about a year now, my friend bought me her wildfire s round which the digitizer had been cracked, so i ordered a replacement and when fitted the part it didnt seem to work, all the connections are fine and cant seem to see anything wrong with the board? any ideas? i dont think the phone is on the latest android firmware but i cant check cos of the digitizer, so was thinkin of updating the phone first to see if that works? is there anyway of updating the phone without using the phone i.e connected to a pc? and if that didnt work was going to restore it to see if that works?
Im alright on the hardware side of things but not so on the software?
Im aware it could be a faulty part just wanted to rule anything else out first so if u have any ideas they would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks
you need to run the nbh file

Be carefull with your phone! LG is BO

Yep ... LG is Back Order for our phone!
Long story short ... got too many issue with the phone, so after 2 repair with my carrier ... LG will send me another phone.
But yesterday got confirmation ... they are Back Order!
They don't have them anymore in stock! Will see what they will do with me!
they only replace defective phones, they don't replace broken or bricked phones, what would being careful with your phone do to prevent it from being defective?

My phone always got dropping call or lost signal... it was a battle between Bell and LG ... Network or hardware issue ... I send my phone 1st time to replace the motherboard, when it came back .. I lost the sound... send it again the same day ... got it back .. still having issue!
Got tired of this call LG ... send all the paper work .. and now they have to send me a new phone!
This is the procedure to get your phone replace. And by the way ... i never bricked my phone! Still on ICS ... but i try CM10 and got dropping call too...
So probably a lemon!

Galaxy s4 signal

Ok so I recently just fixed my USB port because my phone wouldn't charge . I just turned it on and it finally charges but I have a problem it is getting no signal. Do you guys think I did something wrong or is it because I'm rooted but before I replaced it , it was working prefecture fine. Also I am expecting a replacement phone this Monday for this phone since I asked for one do you think they will notice I replaced the USB port?

If the usb port looks like the stock one and is not noticeable, I'd say they wouldn't notice it. If the job looks like it was replaced, has scratches and outwardly noticeable differences from the stock port, they would notice it.....
Pics may help.
You're returning the device so be sure to return it to stock and check all settings to be sure it is stock, or the usb port will be the least of your potential problems

What are the reasons you're returning the device?
If signal issues are one of them, fine.
If not, it doesn't matter as long as your device is bone stock, including all settings.
They won't be checking for signal, and if they did, it wouldn't matter as they are going to refurb the unit and you're not the cause for the signal loss, and if you were, how can anyone prove it?
At this point the signal loss can be caused by a myriad of issues, of which none may be user related.
Just make sure those water indicator stickers are dry
When you go back to stock, you may find you have signal.
The signal loss may be due to T-Mobile tower issues, setting issues, etc.
Don't Worry, Be Happy, as they say
But do be Sure that your device is Stock, including Recovery and All related settings, Including the Bootloader count and not showing Custom, etc.

Should I buy an LG G4 Today?

Hi, I was recently thinking about changing my phone so thought of buying the LG G4. A guy near my place is selling it. I have also heard about the bootloop issue. Although the phone was working fine on his shop, should I still buy the phone? Are there any special conditions under which the phone goes into the bootloop so I can test it either using a stress test tool or playing a demanding game before buying? Please, I need some help!
Thanks,
Asbaat

from with serial number on back starting with 601 are less likely to bootloop the higher the number the better. lower then be cautuious.
if you dont care LG not giving nougat officialy. and poor battery. go ahead but also make sure its one of the unlockable bootloaders
search for list of lg g4 that can be nootloader unlocked.
if all okey go ahead has nice camera and unofficial beta N its nice. but official would be better.

Thank you for your reply, can you kindly tell why buying an unlockable bootloader device is necessary? Also, if the device is 601 and it still goes into a bootloop, will there be any solution to this except repairing the motherboard stuff?
Thanks,
Asbaat

Read the bootloop fix it list in my signature.
Buying a device which can be unlocked is absolutely necessary to fully enjoy that phone plus you can do some adjustments regarding bootloop only when unlocked.
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs

unlocked bootloader you can flash other roms stock based or aosp.
you can install kernek and tune it for performance or battery.
its unknown if it will bootloop but is less likely to happen. from 601 upwards.
also see wht my friend steadfasterX says read hes the man. he knows more then i do.
as long as it is 811 or 815...and 601 or newer serial number...its still worth to buy it
No. I haven't had bootloops on my 602 but have still had problems.
No knock on to wake. (replace screen to fix)
Micro usb port worn out and can only be replaced be re-soldering.
Random notification led blinking. (restart wifi to fix)
No updates.
Still could get a bootloop.
How to determine if phone bootloader can be unlocked? thx
