None of my microUSB OTG cables work on the 5X with any of my adapters. Only USB type C OTG cables seem to work.

Need a longer wall charger cord....HELP!

I need a longer charging cord. The factory cords they send with these tabs are wayyyyy too short. 5 feet or so would be perfect. Any recommendations?

Longer cables can be found on amazon and ebay. Here is a link to one example.

I guess I should rephrase. What longer cables have you all used that will charge the tab while using it. Most of the extended USB cables have terrible reviews because they can't supply enough juice. I see the cellet cable has good reviews but no numbers tossed around as to what its output is.

I use a regular, generic (female / male) USB extender cable, connected to the stock Samsung one. Works perfectly.

Ditto, mines only a foot or two longer and it is more than enough distance for me.
Why do you need the extra long cable?
A regular extender cable works likea charm...
Dx.com has a lot of those

Connecting a PS3 controller?

So I am wanting to link my ps3 controller to my S3 to do some gaming action...
I understand you need a OTG cable, but then I noticed the gameklip comes with this spiffy mini to micro cable. My question is, could I just buy a mini to micro cable on ebay and it work? Or does a OTG cable have some sort of special micro controller in it?
Normal mini to micro cable is not usb otg cable. I tried mini to micro cable for usb drive, it won't work.
I never dissect my own otg cable, so i dunno if there's a micro controller inside
If you're rooted then you don't need a cable, just Bluetooth.
Read my thread in my signature. That should get you started

You still need the cable for first pairing don't you? At least that was when I played around with it.
I just bought a USB PS3 to micro wire and it worked just fine, paid 50 cents over here.

Any old mini USB will do for the pairing.. I think I used my old BlackBerry one.

Nexus 7 MHL adapter or adapter like that.

Hi, I am looking for a device that can put whatever is on my Nexus screen to my TV. I have tried a rocket fish MHL adapter, but it did not work. If you know of anything that will do the job for a Nexus 7 2013, please let me know!

The nexus 7 2013 uses slimport, not MHL. They can be found on amazon, ebay, etc.
I noticed the Slimport goes from in USB to HDMI female. Would I have to buy a HDMI male to male adapter then too?

Just a regular HDMI cable will be fine. The female HDMI on a Slimport lets you use a cable as short or as long as you require.

Don't think I've seen a USB-C splitter other than a mini hub. But why wouldn't you just use the headphone jack or Bluetooth?

I don't say I like this ability from IPhone and the same in Nexus would be great because of imagine having two cables instead of one. It's not even flexible.
I don't have in my stereo Bluetooth but I helped myself by buying Bluetooth receiver so I'm able to connect it via Bluetooth so I don't need that ability as I could in the past, but for the people who don't want to buy anything more instead of cabel it could be great.

I see what you mean but there would still be two cables but just leading to one port because most likely it would be an adapter.

Any USB C cable should be fine. Compliance has to do with USB A to C cables.
