HTC M9 Running Marshamallow - APN Settings Not Saving (Rooted) - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I am trying to edit my cdmaapn.db and adding dun to my fast.t-mobile.com apn. Currently I have default,supl,fota.hipri. However, after I save and then reboot, when I go the apn in the options, dun doesn't show up. But if I navigate back to the cdmaapn.db / carriers / it does say 'dun'
I am rooted (via htcdev) and running viper rom.

How do I change s-on to s-off?

I have had my one x for a week now rooted and unlocked via htd.dev just wondering if I can change my s-on to s-off?

There's no way off getting s-off just yet unless I'm mistaken

If you have to ask that question then there is no possible reason why you need S-Off. You already have root access and can flash custom roms - what else are you wanting to do?

Page Plus ==> Virgin Mobile

If I flashed my HTC One V to Page Plus, can I convert it back to Virgin Mobile?
Yes. Find the correct ruu/rom for your device and flash it.

I've tried this numerous times before but the programming settings are retained. I can dial a number using any ROM and my phone will connect to the Page Plus (Verizon) network. I have actually found the original RUU and flashed that - no cigar.

Help with HTC S Off

I did everything right and now I'm stuck with Rooted and Unlocked Bootloader but I can't turn S off I want to install customs ROMs. Ugh. I do the Firewater method. It works fine up until last step a ns tell me sorry you will never be able to unlock me

As far as I'm aware, not everyone's M8 has had success with S-Off, yet. I'm sorry to say, you may be one of the unlucky ones for now. Hopefully something comes along that will work for everyone.
I would just add that you don't need s-off to use custom Rom. Just go and flash away.?

Yep much better than the crap we put up with on the One S.

s off 4.4.4

how to s off htc one m8 4.4.4 xda
thanks people
i wanna change my phone to google play edition btw
search firewater and sunshine. given you're on 4.4.4 firewater would be less likely to work so sunshine would be your only option
Better chance with Sunshine
And sunshine might not work unless its a gpe m8
I thought sunshine only worked with sense roms and not gpe. I s off my 4.4.4 sense device with sunshine last week.

How did your achieve that? Did you unlock the boot loader with HTC dev first? It won't work on my T-Mobile US version on 4.4.4. Thanks

for sunshine it doesn't matter, as it does not use recovery, all you have to do is install the apk, run it, let it do tests, and if it asks you to pay, your good to go.
