So I was down I'm Mexico last week visiting my wife and she brought her brother's s6 to fix a cracked battery glass. When I got the back off I noticed there is an sd card slot under the glass cover. I didn't have a card with me but I was wondering if it was usable? I know it says there isn't a sd card slot. But I can assure you there is a slot under the back glass cover.

When i tried to press down the backpiece cover i unfortanly pushed to hard so the thin plastic film that covers the steelplate (holding the sim card) got bent upwards, so i cut of a little piece with a razor, do you guys think this is gonna be a problem in someway or am i just fine with it?
Please tell me it dosent matter because i love the phone!
So I heard good things about Wrapsol Ultra and ordered it last Thursday. It got here Tuesday and I went to install it. However, when I opened the package, I realized that it was not cut to cover the entire screen. There is a large cutout for the speaker and right corner where the camera and sensors are. There was absolutely no information about that on the wrapsol.com product page so I was surprised. It is the same cut as the removable film (printed with Galaxy Nexus) that came on my Verizon phone.
I decided to not install it for now and think about either returning it or selling it. Has anyone else bought the Ultra for their SGN and liked it despite the too large (for me) cutout area?
I noticed the cutout after watching a video on YouTube. I was looking into this protector to replace the one I have now and I don't know if I could live with that much glass exposed. Also, I emailed wrapsol if they would revise the cut and they said they were not looking at any revisions.

Bought the glass replacement and tape to use to replace the glass on my galaxy s3. I didn't feel comfortable enough doing it myself so I just sent it to have someone else to do it. I was left with the replacement glass that was never taken out of the plastic. I checked the glass and it has no scratches what so ever. It is Samsung original glass complete with samsung logo (see pictures). I used a couple inches of the double sided tape to see how sticky it is and it is more than good enough for replacing the screen. Everything is new and is less than a week old!
If you want to bid for it on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251306063420&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123
Since the original Galaxy back in the day to the S3 I've used screen protectors...
When I got the Note 2 and S4 I left it bare ...
Now that I got the Note 3 I'm debating whether to get a screen protector
Well I ordered some anyway...but it got me thinking if we're equipped with Gorilla 3 Glass? <- For sure? There's a reason for my curiousity of whether if.....
That's what it says on paper. I never got around to putting an sp on my gn2, but I got one on my gn3. Piece of mind. For most of the gn2 life it didn't have an otterbox, just a cruzerlite case. When I got the otterbox, I just left the plastic protection on it. With my gn3, I removed the otterbox protection, since I have the zagg hd sp.
I went bare for a while on my last model and ended up with a scratch down the front of my screen as well as a plastic residue rubbed into the screen from my case. Luckily my phone bricked and I got a new one. The first thing I did when I got the replacement model was to put a sp on it.

Put a sp on. When you get that first scratch you'll be upset. I'm not taking the chance.

I've been reading about how fragile the front glass is. Apparently they used gorilla Glass 3 which is great for protecting against scratches but horrible against drops.
How's your phone holding up so far? Anyone end up with a shattered screen?
Have any of you dropped your phone without any issues? Do you use a case? Did you replace the factory screen protector with a glass one?
Just curious...
I cracked the screen on my first S20FE after like a month when it fell a couple feet out of my pocket unto asphalt. Luckily I had Samsung Care+, so they replaced it with a brand new device for $100. Since then, I've had my device in an S-View Flip Cover, so hopefully it'll keep it a bit more protected. Have a good one!
btw... I believe the generation of Gorilla Glass mainly affects how resistant to scratches the screen is. My old Nexus 6P screen cracked much worse from a similar fall and that device had Gorilla Glass 4.
Recently I found two tiny cracks on my S20FE: one at front right cover, the other at back cover of camera lenses of the phone that I bought about 1 year ago. The phone is always in a wallet case - which makes it puzzling how the cracks happened. My last Samsung (also protected by a wallet case) has never had a crack in 3 years I owned it. I am very disappointed by Samsung's quality nowadays. I'm going for Google pixel phones next.
I never buy protection plans and have always thought it waste of money. I don't abuse my phone and always take care of it. Besides a phone with replaced screen is not as good as the original undamaged one.
