Just installed Resurection Remix . Today I got a MMS message and when trying to download the message data connect was lost . I was able to regain data by selecting a T-Mobile APN . I noticed in APN setting MMS info was missing . I ended up entering the APN info for MMS and I was able to receive the Photo but the next MMS text breaks data again .
I've read Nexus devices had a similar issue which turned out to be pushbullet but no app with this name was found . I even seen suggestions to disable app permissions for SMS but this also did not fix the issue .
The dev stopped support and I was wondering if anyone has found a fix .

Was toying with random toggle widgets and 3g data stopped working. I accidentally hit reset to default in the hidden APN settings and it just deleted everything?
Can anyone help me with APN settings or a simple solution? Thanks mucho.
Did you try updating your profile by going to settings -> about phones ->system updates ->update profile ?
If that doesn't work do you know specifically what settings you need? For example, do you need dsa server, mmsc, etc? I might be able to tell you the settings I have.
Updating profile doesn't work, it just gives an error. Funny enough, my 4g works fine.
Need a whole giant list of things though I was hoping their would be an easier way

Go back to DI18 via Odin, update Profile + PRL, then odin back to DK28, then reflash whatever ROM you were using.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing Overstew... I'm on syndicate, so I don't have those options above. I tried looking elsewhere but couldn't find anything either regarding those"default" settings.
if you know your msl try doing a data restore, ##3282#, it should restore it back to defaults, but your device might not go through the ota programing
Does anyone know if there is a way to back up those pesky hidden settings just in case something bad happen to your phone?

I got a HTC u11 and I accidentally deleted the apn settings and it won't allow me to add anything except the apn but no other settings.
Hello,
I am having issues with my HTC Wildfire running 2.2.1 Froyo (SUnAaBh v1.1 ROM) sending and recieving Multi Media Messages (MMS).
I recently went over to this ROM from Stock for various reasons and it was since then that this issue has arised
I've spoken to my Network Provider O2UK and have got the correct settings for PAYG.
Sadly whenever I try to send or recieve a MMS, I get the following error message 'Unable to Send - Generic Network Failure' or 'Unable to Download - Generic Network Failure'.
I've tried the usual, remove and re-add APN Settings with reboot inbetween, no difference.
Mobile Internet works fine, its just MMS
I am hoping someone out there knows the solution.
Many thanks
Jason
It helped me when I changed authentication type to PAP in mms apn settings.

+1 here
I'm was on RC1.5 and had this problem, now I'm on 110930 NIGHTLY (clean install) and still can't get MMS to work with any setting. Tried manual settings for APNs but nothing. Data works fine.
Even tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253108 and http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/19827-mms-not-sending-with-cm7-rc4/ but without success.
Please help!
Finally SOLVED!
After trying everything that should be working (and everything that shouldn't ), I managed to find what is wrong. At least for me.
Here is my solution:
In APN settings you have one APN for internet and one for MMS. Network automatic setting set both APNs type as: default, supl, mms.
1. Set internet APN type as: default, supl
2. Set MMS APN type as: mms
3. Go to App manager and clear Messaging application data - this is very important!
4. Enjoy sending your photos

Hello, I have a rather strange problem with my phone.
After the Update which has just been released (MIUI Global 10.3.1.0 (ODEMIXM)
he began to behave in a strange way my mobile internet.
For example: Youtube, Facebook, Messenger, Google Maps work normally.
And all other applications no longer (even an application to Check system update)
I'm popping up a message: No connection.
I did different things: Reset Internet settings,
change network settings in options (* # * # 4636 # * # *)
and even a hard reset.
if you have questions Yes on Wi-Fi works normally.
Greetings!
Try factory reset first.
mine has similar problems after a call. Some Internet stuff still works, most don't, unless I disable and re-enable mobile internet from the dropdown menu. Did you find a solution, MrKaim?
Same problem in my phone too. The only app which is remain usable of the internet is the Chrome browser. Messeaging apps, navigation, ebay, etc... is always lost somehow the connection: even when I using the app: for example I browsing in the ebay app and after 10mins,its says sonetging got wrong and I can go on only when I turn wifi/adata off and on. And yes, ön my mi mix 2, the problem is still exist on wifi and mobil net too.
Mi Mix 2 Havoc OS 3.7 Mobile Internet
I am facing a similar issue.
Has anyone found a solution for this ?
I'm running a ROM : Havoc OS 3.7 Android 10
Also tried ROM : AICP and Lineage.. Same Issue!
I keep shuffling LTE / 3G it connects sometime but the connection is unstable.
Permanently displays an X in the mobile signal as if there is no mobile data connection.
Please share a solution if anyone has found one.
I realize only some data isn't working but you could save your apns-conf.xml from another setup where you have no data issues and everything works perfect (I always keep one handy) and delete your current apns-conf.xml in /system/etc and system/product/etc and paste the good one in your /system/etc and set permissions on new apns-conf.xml to 0644 using root explorer or whatever root file manager you use then go to settings on your device/networks and internet/mobile network/access point names/ and top right hit the three dot menu select reset to default and wait till you see LTE show in status bar and reboot. If it's an apn issue that will solve it.
My Mix 2 isn't hooked up anymore to a service but I do use it on wifi at home but the apns-conf.xml on stock rom/miui may be slightly different than they are on an AOSP custom rom. I know that's been the case for me on every device I've done this on so be sure if you do give this a shot that you use your miui apns-conf.xml on miui roms and AOSP apn xml on AOSP custom roms so that it will work.
I've been using this process when I have had any data issues at all on my last 3 devices and it's worked 100% every single time when after installing a custom rom I've had no data this works to get LTE going. Credit to spaceminer for this info on the apn delete and swap, data fix as he's who I first learned this from on another forum.
this is a very easy way to mod any apn in your phone.i modded apn on OnePlus 7pro this is easier . All you need is a database editor i used sqlite editor. click apps on top tab (ive included pictures) find phone and message storage (com.android.providers.telephony). then click telephony.db then select carriers. then all apns will be displayed find your carrier mines 310260(T-Mobile) put a 1 on user_visable.done. on the tethering apn also put -1 on authtype and go to your settings look at apn. if you make user_editable=1 it wont work right well didnt on 7pro it needs to be like mms apn so when plugged in it works i changed mtu but its up to you guys on what needs to be its easy. im trying to find other ways to mod the new userspace and init that boots first hope this helps everyone if anyone needs help just ask
Can you provide more info please?? Can you take a screenshot of each of your APNs?
Thank you!
apn is in database when you open you'll see the apn for your carrier I'm on 12 now still works
