The available internal to me is 11.31 gb. I have only 2.5 gbs of apps installed but the free space shown is just 5.06 gb. I used disk usage and found a large System Data block using more than 3 gigs of space.
Not able to understand what system data is that and how can i delete it.

I'm having an issue with my phone showing that I only have 1 gig left on my internal SD, but when I look at the internal SD when I plug in my computer it only has 6.6 gigs on it. I have no idea what's causing so much space being taken up. I was down to 877 megs and cleared the cache of all my apps which brought me up to 1.07 gigs free, but that still doesn't compute. 12 gigs - 6.6 = 1.07? I'm using the ParanoidKANGdroid ROM with the second to last update but I was having this issue before when I came from AOKP and wasn't able to make a backup.
If anyone has any ideas please reply. Thanks in advance!

I had this happen back when I had an infuse 4g, on my phone it was all the backups I had made. Everytime I flashed a new rom I would make a backup. I had 6 or 7 old backups and once deleted my storage space was back. I can't say for sure this is your problem, but use a file explorer(I use root file explorer) and look at your backup folder.
Thanks that worked like a charm!

For some reason my camera app on CM10 can take about 3-5 photos but then suddenly stops and seems to save just a corrupted file.
It looks like this

I'm using Hurtsky's kernel but I don't think it makes a difference because I had the same problem on a stock kernel. My SD cards are swapped though
Has anyone experienced anything similar, or can help me get rid of the problem?

Hi all,
Hi All, I bought the US Version 64 GB/4GB phone. How do you test/confirm the amount of ROM and RAM on your zf2? In Titanium Backup I see the following and wondering if this is a cause for concern. It shows ROM at 2.34 GB is this what others are seeing?
see screenshot below:

So what you are looking at is the system rom partition (closed system that can be accessed by root), your internal storage and your external storage. There is no mention of RAM there...
You need to check with some other app to find out your RAM...
ROM is your system partition, which is were you "system.img" goes, ram is around 3.7GB which is completly normal since the gpu takes ram and system runtime, and after that "user available ram" which is 1.4GB or so depends on how many apps your running etc...dont be concerned those numbers are completly normal.

Any suggestions on an app that does that? And whats the point of having 4 GB of ROM if it's partitioned and the OS can't even access it all?

Thats a safety measure in case the manufacture needs more space in a future OTA update, and you "can" access it with root, like i said stop worrying about rom partition size, sit back and enjoy your new phone.

With a 64GB Internal Storage, it wont make much difference
As for the app, look on the play store for a "Hardware Checker"
Anyone know an easy way to grant universal write access to the external SD card on Marshmallow? I was using the Play store app SDFix which worked for both KK and Lollipop, but the app doesn't work on Marshmallow

I haven't found an application for that. Unless an application asks for media rw access, not much can be done with MM. For example, the Samsung browser can download to internal sdcard or micro sdcard. Some apps just write to internal sdcard.
What I did notice using freeza's ROM, the permissions are relaxed for apps that do write to extSdCard. I was able to get media rw access for titanium backup where stock would limit to data rw only. On stock ROM, titanium wouldn't show the micro sdcard if navigating via /mnt/media_rw path to use the titanium backup feature that protects a backup from overwrite.

Have you tested this with MM?
This was how it was done in LP but from what I have read it doesnt work on MM.
Can you confirm?
Well being i replied on Pe2 I would think yes.works fine for me. Your mileage may vary.

Hi. Anyone know why latest OneUi 5.0 takes 70GB system storage?
I believe that system should take about 10-15GB like clear Android 13 (Mi9T Pro - 12GB, MiPad 5 - 16GB), but not 70.
Anyone know what is happening in the system directories?

Mine says 39gb so I think both are wrong
I have mine at 106GB, wiping cache didn't do anything.
Mine is extremely debloated, I wonder if that has anything to do with mine being so low comparatively...

19 gb after december update

Tempus Fugit
I trust the OS. As long as I have a lot of free space, I don't care how much the system takes.
Is there another vesy to remove old system files? Why are they there, short of a system recovery?

I tried cleaning my internal storage a while ago and noticed my system storage increased to 110GB, lmao.
Update on this: I did a factory reset to see if it'll do anything.
From 111GB, it went down to 38GB, but after completely restoring all my apps, files and everything, it went back up to 58GB. Not bad considering I freed up 50GB+.
I suspect the reason my system files bloated like that is because I have a habit of flashing roms without wiping, especially when the beta came out.
