Hi everyone. Let's see if you can help me with this: I've noticed that with Chrome, CAF browser and other browsers (Firefox doesn't) it gets freeze for a few seconds when scrolling. It is quite annoying.
I've noticed this with AOSP (CM13, candysix...) or custom stock roms. Has anyone a solution for this???
Thank you in advance!

Hey guys, I'm running Chrome Beta on Axiom ROM and have been having problems with it. It happens on this ROM and other AOKP based roms. Mainly when I'm on this site the page keeps reloading itself, the font size varies in threads and when double tapping to zoom it doesn't zoom in very far compared to Dolphin browser and other browsers. Has anyone else noticed this and has anyone found out why it does this? It also happens with the stable version. Thanks for your responses.
I did not see this problem when I run it on my phone
Hi guys, the kitkat update is definitely smoother than 4.3 in general. But my browser performance is definitely worse. I've tried many different browsers but I can't seem to find one that is perfectly smooth.
When I scroll it's laggy and the text doesn't get rendered quick enough. I scroll, everything gets blurry and then it takes a second until the site is sharp. I hope you understand what I'm talking about But that makes scrolling around a page really annoying.
My main browser that I used with 4.3 "habit browser" has gotten more laggy in general.
Anyone else noticing this? BTW i did a factory reset after upgrading to kitkat.
i'm using chrome and it became way better in terms of performance, yes device does not renders entire webpage in a single try but it works fine enough for me, Scrolling lag is not too much to have an effect on experince. If you are using chrome you can modify "chrome://flags" to adjust it to your liking.
Thx for the tip. I just tried dolphin and that seem the best until now. But it has some buttons in weird places. Not ideal but will do.
I also tried Firefox. It takes like 10 secs to render every time after scrolling! It's really bad.
Hello nexus 7 users!
I've been using Lollipop roms for quite some time now and I'm having some issues with pretty much every browser I use.
Now I'd like to do a poll to see how many people are having these problems.
Symptoms:
Chrome: scrolling around gives the ow, snap error most of the time.
Firefox: Firefox has crashes when scrolling around.
Stock browser: Browser has stopped when doing random things.
facebook integrated browser: closes and facebook relaunches.
I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one having these issues cause I've experienced them on a bunch of roms (DJL, simpleAOSP and even stock) and yes I've done full wipes every time.
I'm having issues with erratic browser scrolling while typing and autocorrect going haywire when typing in a busy disqus tread.
Hey guys, I'm not sure if it is appropriate to create a new thread, but I really did numerous searches with no luck.
[Spec]
Nexus 7 2013 WIFI(flo)
TWRP 2.8.6
Kernel Glitch for Flo/Deb - r320
(No overlock, No additional drivers)
CM12 Nightly 20150405
gapps itvends.com/gapps/gapps-lp-20141212-signed.zip
/Data /Cache=f2fs
/System = ext4
[Phenomenon]
1. Chrome page randomly freezes or crashes especially when scrolling.
2. A stream video app called "Dlife" keep giving error code " -2147483648" and cannot play any video. (Youtube etc. are fine.)
(it is a buggy app, maybe nothing to do with android.)
[What I tried]
1. wiping caches
2. uninstalling google "Webview" component
3. changing kernel to fransco, but that overclocked CPU to 1.7Ghz by default and I can't change it, everything seems very fast so I couldn't reproduce the problem before I uninstalled it.
I also tried to shift to ElementalX kernel 3.05, but it seems not to support f2fs so I had to give up.
Because I'm a newbie to all those flash/rom/kernel things, I can't determine whether this issue is related to OS or kernel or Apps.
Any advices will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
its not you my Galaxy s3 freezes a lot on certain web pages as well with chrome, stock browser is just fine, I use chrome beta. for a while chrome would freeze on the mobile site of XDA and the page would crash, I just used the desktop site since then and no issues. I have a feeling its just something to do with chrome.

Thanks for your reply.
I also tried flashing to another 5.1ROM and increased chrome memory quota with no luck.
It's maybe not "freeze" but "lag", just not responding for 2-3 seconds.
I'll be waiting for CM12.1 or just shift to firefox etc.
After installed Chrome as a system app by flashing PA GApps mini + Chrome module,
I somewhat feel chrome is becoming more smooth, but I'm not sure.
The latest version is flashed so there is no update installed so far.
Hello everyone,
I'm using H2OS Beta 7/8, the browsers I've tried is too laggy (chrome, Opera, cm, and some more), I have the same problem with all browsers.
I had the same lag with OOS as well, do you also have lag with browser?
I know it's not connection, as download speed is pretty fast.
So could you share your experience with browsers?
Which one do you use? Is it fast?
Suggest me a fast browser, please

On the Nexus 9, (which doesn't have enough resources out of the box,) I used Habit Browser as it was way less resource hungry than chrome. Still use it to this day on all my devices. I cant comment on speed as chrome is fine on my OP3 also.
