Best rom for battery life - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys I am currently using echoe rom with AEL Kernel and I am pretty happy with this room but i hate zenui because of the bloatware and many other stuff I was hopping that you can help me to decide witch is the best rom for battery life and the best kernel

Not much to say here...
There is NO Specific ROM that can grant you better battery life. Every AOSP/CM based ROM has MUCH better performance as compared to the stock ROMs. If your ROM is a marshmallow one, you can download this app from the play store called "Naptime", this app can enable " Aggressive Doze" which will disable wakelocks and thus give you much better battery life. I highly recommend this app if you're looking for extra juice conservation.

is there any possible way we can get a dev to cook up a rom and kernel for 2.2 that is devoted to saving battery life? much like the ee/pheonix for 2.1.
I'm currently running the newest version of viper with ext4 and I get absolutely terrible battery life without me even using it. I find myself without a phone at the worst possible times.
so, I don't care if its not the fastest rom and kernel out there. I just want a nice and simple and slimmed down combo that gives me killer battery life. I'm sure that there are a number of people that would love to have this combo as well.
thanks all for your time in advance.

Kernel cannot be done with out source. Rom don't mean much for battery life.
I'm getting 16 hours of moderate use running bonsia 1.1.4, ext4-no journaling, emotionless beast theme. No battery saving apps

Kernel and rom for battery

Hey guys,
I've tried the codename android ROM and i've loved it, so with this rom my battery draining so fast.
So i've installed the rom minco v5 with the franco kernel and its really better for the battery. But with this rom i dont have any option to customize my phone.
So my question is, is the rom have an impact on the battery or just the kernel do the job?
So can you post your rom+kernel combo with your battery draining experience ?
Thanks

I personally have found less impact on battery life on rom/kernel combination than I felt I should have. My biggest boosts to battery life were disabling google now and putting the phone into edge mode when im not needing high speed connections.
from a logical point of view, it's more likely that more customization options will eat more battery, since there's more code running than stock. don't be mistaken, it's personal, your SPECIFIC usage will dictate battery drain. for me, stock has the best battery life.

Help! Suggest me a good rom with good battery life

Anyone can suggest me a rom that can maximize the battery life of my nexus, I don't care if the performance of the phone is sacrificed in exchange for a better battery life.
Focus more on the kernel and your settings.

I'm a fan of XenonHD rom, you should try this one.

I totally get the settings part, but the kernel, how? Can you explain more?
@quivertaotao
Thanks for your suggestion, I'll try to look at that later.

Fresh TouchWiz vs Fresh CyanogenMod based ROMs - Which is more battery efficient?

Fresh TouchWiz vs Fresh CyanogenMod based ROMs - Which is more battery efficient?
Or, does it make any difference?
Lollipop touchwiz is pretty good in terms of battery. Custom Rom like CM is usually chosen for more customization. Some customization along with custom kernel may give better battery power depending on what options/changes are made. I can't truly say which one is the real winner.
If you really care for battery, you can use apps like amplify and greenify for better battery conservation. Obviously, you need to root your device if you settle with touchwiz.

Improving battery life?

Hi guys,
I have a SM-T705 with 5.0.2 insralled
besides tweaking the settings etc. is there a specific firmware, rom etc. that improves battery life?
My tab is rooted as well.
Thanks in advance
using greenify will probably help you.
MM is better for battery life, based on my use and experience with my t705w, than LP 5.0.2 TW with greenify. Pick whatever AOSP/CM flavor you like, it's all pretty much the same for battery performance.
