Anyone can suggest me a rom that can maximize the battery life of my nexus, I don't care if the performance of the phone is sacrificed in exchange for a better battery life.
Focus more on the kernel and your settings.

I'm a fan of XenonHD rom, you should try this one.

@najaboy
I totally get the settings part, but the kernel, how? Can you explain more?
@quivertaotao
Thanks for your suggestion, I'll try to look at that later.

I would like to have a kernel that will give me good performance but great battery life! What do you guys suggest and post some screenshots of your battery life with the kernel please!
theres no point in these kind of threads. read the kernel threads and general/q&a, you'll find out why.

Stock. More performance means less battery and/or stability and vice versa. Stock was already built to be the median between the three.

That's kind of the same as asking for a 400HP engine that has the fuel efficiency of 5 liter per 100 km.
Hey guys,
I've tried the codename android ROM and i've loved it, so with this rom my battery draining so fast.
So i've installed the rom minco v5 with the franco kernel and its really better for the battery. But with this rom i dont have any option to customize my phone.
So my question is, is the rom have an impact on the battery or just the kernel do the job?
So can you post your rom+kernel combo with your battery draining experience ?
Thanks

I personally have found less impact on battery life on rom/kernel combination than I felt I should have. My biggest boosts to battery life were disabling google now and putting the phone into edge mode when im not needing high speed connections.
from a logical point of view, it's more likely that more customization options will eat more battery, since there's more code running than stock. don't be mistaken, it's personal, your SPECIFIC usage will dictate battery drain. for me, stock has the best battery life.
Hi would anybody be able to tell me the best kitkat rom for best perfomance and battery life

As always, i must say that there is no "best" thread. Performance and Battery life will vary for every user, given the combination of unique screen brightness, the applications used and desired settings. Most ROMs can be tweaked for performance and battery life; your best best will be to search the threads and find the ones that look interesting to you, and do some reading on them. .
Hello guys I am currently using echoe rom with AEL Kernel and I am pretty happy with this room but i hate zenui because of the bloatware and many other stuff I was hopping that you can help me to decide witch is the best rom for battery life and the best kernel

Not much to say here...
There is NO Specific ROM that can grant you better battery life. Every AOSP/CM based ROM has MUCH better performance as compared to the stock ROMs. If your ROM is a marshmallow one, you can download this app from the play store called "Naptime", this app can enable " Aggressive Doze" which will disable wakelocks and thus give you much better battery life. I highly recommend this app if you're looking for extra juice conservation.
Hi, I am currently on RR 5.8.0 and I don't see a difference with the battery life compare to Rom stock. In that way, I would like to know which rom has the best battery life ? Thanks
Hello,
The answer for this kind of question is always ambiguous, as battery life depends on your usage, kernel settings, what apps are running in background, etc. The final note that this may affect people to say ROM X is the best, or ROM Y, ROM Z, or even stock, lol.
I'm unable to give 'the best ROM' title to ROM X, ROM Y, or ROM Z by judging the battery life because on my experience travelling between ROMs, SoT is nearly identical.
You may find some people saying 'this is the best ROM' somewhere on the development thread.
Regards.
