Can't install Xposed Framework - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, I know this sounds really n00b, however I can't seem to install the Xposed Framework.
I've got rovo89's v80 arm64 installer, and it installs in recovery, however when I go to Xposed Installer app, it tells me the framework is not installed. Am I missing something?

Bump - anyone?

[Q] Xposed unable to install update

I'm using KANG SOKP 4.4.2 rom on my GS3 and I'm unable to update my xposed installer (version 2.5.1 to 2.6.1), nor any module installed using xposed. Every time I try and download an update, it says there is already a package with the same name with a conflicting signature, and the installation fails. I'd like to avoid having to completely remove xposed and reinstall as a user app.
I tried to remove it using Ti Backup, rebooted and wiped cache/davlik, but it still gives me the same thing. I tried to install from the latest.apk and it still says "current version 2.5.1/new version 2.6.1" despite previous removal and installation fails as usual. Is there any way to avoid this conflict and install updates within xposed?

Android Pay on a ROM w/ Root

Anyone get it working? I'm on viper tried disabling SuperSU, root cloak, and no device check. With no luck.
As far as I know there isn't a workaround yet. Maybe the nexus forums might be the best place to search for now
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Mine works with root. Try uninstalling and then disable in superSU. Install the app again, and go through the process to get it up and running. Then re enable root.

For me, running GPE, I couldn't get it to work until I uninstalled the xposed apk, dirty flashed my rom to remove the xposed service (probably could flash the xposed uninstaller zip), disabled supersu, and wiped the data/cache on the pay app.

need help installing xposed on marshmallow v30d

As the title states i am rooted with twrp installed on marshmallow stock rom. I would like to install xposed framework. Is it possible? I really like the stock interface + it has the best battery life surprisingly. So if i can get it on stock it would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.
Well thats a bummer

yes, I just did this. in android, uninstall everything you have related to xposed then do the following:
in recovery, make a backup
in recovery install the xposed uninstaller: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/uninstaller/xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm.zip
clear dalvik cache
in revocery install this: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm/xposed-v86-sdk23-arm.zip
reboot
in android install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440
reboot

I'm assuming that you mean in step 6...
I'd check the Xposed threads because I believe that there's an Xposed Manager that can be used to install Xposed now. I'm currently on 30G on one of my devices and RR ROM on the other.
processes are a little different in later releases and other ROMs. I can't even use SuperSu anymore or the old methods of installing Xposed

XDA Framework for One M9 PCE?

Hi. I wanted to install Xposed Framework but neither of the 3 work. Tried sdk21, 22 and 23. On the first two it says wrong version, but when I flash sdk23 it is stuck on the HTC screen after reboot.
Are there any ways to bypass this? Thought I was buying the regular M9, but life is full of surprises.

I'm guessing you mean xposed framework? Correct me if I'm wrong.
What architecture are you flashing? And are you doing it via zip through twrp or trying through the xposed app? What firmware are you actually running?

Yeah, Xposed. Whoops. I assume that the architecture is arm64, how do I find out for sure?
I'm doing it through twrp-3.0.0-1-himar.img recovery by zip file.
The phone's software number is 2.18.401.10, HTC Sense 7.0_g, Android 6.0. I haven't flashed any ROMs, just the recovery.
Please correct me if that's insufficient info.

That's good info. Have you got root access?
To find architecture, download devcheck from the play store and check under system.

Thanks, useful app. Yeah, it's rooted - I have superSU installed, and devcheck shows that the architecture is aarch64.

It's useful, I agree.
So head over to the xposed page.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
You want sdk 23 arm64 for 6.0, and the latest installer I guess, also download the uninstaller, always useful.
I think when I've flashed xposed, I wiped dalvic & cache, it can take quite a while to initialise optimising apps from experience.
Patience and keep your fingers crossed, if it doesn't work, reboot to recovery and flash uninstall.zip.

Yup, did that just now and before making this thread, the result is the same. It's stuck on the HTC O1NE screen indefinitely. Have to uninstall it now to get past that.
Are there any other versions of xposed that might work with this phone?

Ah well I'm stumped dude, not sure where to go for now. I'll be honest though, if you get a decent Rom, there's no need for xposed.
You can always try the xposed / magisk systemless route...

Did you set SELinux to permissive before you tried to flash xposed?

Viper4Android for Nougat 7.1.1 ROMs [No need of /system repartitioning]

This v4a actually works on Nougat 7.1.1 ROMs. I've tried it myself on AICP 12.1 and AEX (7.1.1) ROM. There is no error while flashing the low or low space error while updating/installing driver. Hence no need to repartition /system just for using v4a. Don't forget to install Busybox.
Attaching the file down below.
or download apk from here: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/?page_id=48
then install it, it also requires busy box
I was wondering if Viper4Arise would work or should I just use Viper4Android? I never got Viper4Arise to install again after a February build of AICP. Maybe it isn't compatible anymore.

Maybe! Plus after every update it needs to be flashed again.
Oh well.. will have to stick to Viper4Android. At least that works. Thanks.
Found out that I'm missing /system space which is why I can't install Viper4Arise. I also installed GApps which made me lack the /system space required. Fixed by replacing LatinIME.

LatinIME? Links??
I meant that I removed the stock keyboard (LatinIME), deleted using SystemAppRemover of AICP Extras and installed a different one (I used Fleksy). That gave the phone enough system space to install both GApps and Arise Sound System.
Steps:
1. Install a different Keyboard app. (Google Keyboard, Fleksy, Swype, etc.)
2. Remove the system app LatinIME /system/app/LatinIME (can use System App Remover AICP Extras or manually with root access using File Manager)
3. Install GApps and ARISE Sound System. (I use OpenGapps and AROMA installer of ARISE Sound System).
---------- Post added at 06:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:56 AM ----------
I can install pico GApps or ARISE Sound System individually but not both because it would require more system space and the stock keyboard is the easier one for me to replace to be able to free up the needed space. You can remove other system apps to free up the needed space if you don't want to replace the stock keyboard.
Busybox should be installed earlier or after viper?

I recommend you to install it BEFORE installing Viper4Android
in-case you've installed Viper4Android before busybox then just install busybox.
