[Q] Xposed unable to install update - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm using KANG SOKP 4.4.2 rom on my GS3 and I'm unable to update my xposed installer (version 2.5.1 to 2.6.1), nor any module installed using xposed. Every time I try and download an update, it says there is already a package with the same name with a conflicting signature, and the installation fails. I'd like to avoid having to completely remove xposed and reinstall as a user app.
I tried to remove it using Ti Backup, rebooted and wiped cache/davlik, but it still gives me the same thing. I tried to install from the latest.apk and it still says "current version 2.5.1/new version 2.6.1" despite previous removal and installation fails as usual. Is there any way to avoid this conflict and install updates within xposed?

[Warning] ATT OTA & Google Now & Home2

FWIW
I have stock rooted LG1 and I had installed Google Now.
This prevents using the CWM Zip that has been created zine the googleTTL.apk checksums don't match.
I also have Mobile Odin Pro and I attempted to use it to install the OTA directly. Mobile Odin Pro will inject a root and SU into the binary file from ATT/Samsung. If you don't have Google Now and have only frozen your apps with TI (or whatever) you should be fine using it. However if you have Google Now, again, the googlettl.apk will fail checksum. If you overide the checksum and have Home2 installed you will go into a boot loop after the system restarts because the Android system mui can't determine which program (touchwiz home or home2) to use. Even though it presents a menu with both programs, and you can select one or clear the defaults but you can't clear the error and it keeps conning back.
SO, if you are going to use Mobile Odin Pro and have the HOME2 app installed, it seems that disabling it (or uninstalling it) prior to applying the OTA would be best so that the system can completely start. You won't be able to restart Google Now anyway since the apk will revert back to the non-universal search and have to install that also.
The OTA will also remove the CMW installed and you will get the normal Android Recovery menu. It is possible that resetting to factory defaults will clear the boot loop but it will also clear your data and apps. Since you can still use ODIN (PC) to install a firmware, you can get back to a rooted stock easily.
Update:
I re-installed MrRobinson's rooted firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
This included installing the CMW, since the update that the Mobile Odin Pro made from the ATT OTA had a new bootloader (the android default). As well as restoring the Universal Search as described in the same page 1 post.
Once the reboot from desktop ODIN happened, I still had conflicts between Home2 and TouchWiz Home, but these could be cleared with selecting a default, TouchWiz (Google Now isn't going to work anyway). I uninstalled Home2 and rebooted.
Rebooted, I was getting a android .acore error every 3 or 4 seconds. Just press OK and work through it. I installed the CWM via terminal as described in MrRobinson's post. (( I installed 6.0.1.2 non-touch and used copy/paste and gmail compose to edit the copied lines from MrRobinson's instructions to the right version.))
Once the CMW was reinstalled, I installed the Googlesearch.apk downloaded from the same post again. The error with the acore was still happening.
I then installed the full L9 CMW flashable form here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896773 This updated the system and modem and some of the apps, but NOT the Googlesearch.apk
Allowing the system to reboot brought everything up without an error. Since the MODEM was flashed, I had to restore the WI-FI APNs from Titanium Backup that required another boot.
Now to install the Google Now I can install the V7 to upgrade from the V6 that I had originally installed.
FWIW: NO APPS WERE LOST IN THIS ENTIRE PROCESS (except the one that I purposely removed HOME2). I never was asked to reapply my Google ID, etc.

[Q] No way to install SuperSU

Hi,
I'm currently on an Xperia Arc running FXP231 (CM10), which comes with SuperUser. I'm trying to switch to SuperSU, but so far no luck.
I've tried:
Downloading the flashable zip that is on SuperSU thread, and flashing it from CWM. The result is that SuperUser is removed, like it should, but SuperSU is not installed. It's not anywhere to be found. If I install it manually afterwards or beforehand, it will say that there is no super user application installed (i.e.: I've lost root).
Installing it from the Play Store. It installs fine, but as soon as I open it, it asks me to update the binary. It gives me two options: from CWM or "normal".
If I choose normal, it gives me "installation failed" no matter what, and then it closes.
If I try the CWM option, SuperUser is removed, but if I open SuperSU afterwards it will tell me that there is no super user application installed, which is rather frustrating.
Does anybody have any idea what might be going on and what to do about it?
Thanks.

[Q] HTC One M8 Busybox and OTA problem

Hi everyone,
I guess I need some help... I'm on rooted stock and recently had to install busybox (for installing / using XPrivacy). Now when I try to install the current OTA update, it says "/system/xbin/nc has unexpected contents" and won't let me install the update. I dont know what to do, I tried uninstalling Busybox trough the Android app,
but it kinda gets stuck at "Checking System"... I also heard of a way using nandroid backups and such only restoring certain portions of the system, but I dont really know how to do such things because I'm pretty new to the community
I would be okay with losing all my data just to be able to install OTA updates again. :fingers-crossed:
So if anyone could help me with this problem I would be very thankful!
Cheers!

It's because you are using Xposed. Xposed modifies the system partition, and you won't be able to install the OTA with a modified /system.
Using Xposed, uninstall all of the modules you are using, then uninstall Xposed itself. Then try to run the OTA again. It should work.

Android Pay on a ROM w/ Root

Anyone get it working? I'm on viper tried disabling SuperSU, root cloak, and no device check. With no luck.
As far as I know there isn't a workaround yet. Maybe the nexus forums might be the best place to search for now
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Mine works with root. Try uninstalling and then disable in superSU. Install the app again, and go through the process to get it up and running. Then re enable root.

For me, running GPE, I couldn't get it to work until I uninstalled the xposed apk, dirty flashed my rom to remove the xposed service (probably could flash the xposed uninstaller zip), disabled supersu, and wiped the data/cache on the pay app.

Can't install Xposed Framework

Hey everyone.
I can't install the Xposed framework. The error messages are in the the screenshots you'll see attached.
(EDIT: I can't post outside links since i am a new user, also i am by this Time unable to upload screenshots.. i'm working on it.)

I am currently using an OnePlus 3 with oxygenOS 3.26 flashed via twrp.
Before I was using 3.24 where everything was working fine. Then I switched to sultanxda's CyanogenMod. Since the Home Button was not working correctly, I decided to go back to the just released Oxygen. Everytime I was clean installing it.
From there on I am unable to use Xposed. I flashed it many times, used different twrp versions and also the arm64 v85 instead of v86. Nothing really wants to work.
I thought, i am may not able to flash anything because the System is set to Read-Only, but flashing SuperUser.zip has worked without any problems.
I'll appreciate your help.
Can you confirm that Supersu is working? And did you flash a systemless or 'normal' version of Supersu?
