Has anyone ever tried this product? I'm not sure if it will be good, most reviews say that they received a product to try out but all give good reviews. Also, there's nothing about it being 2.0 or 3.0, does that matter?
Isn't this just a Micro USB cable with a built in USBC adapter?

I posted in another thread about cables compatible with the SG2 and ended up answering my own question when I found one in my box of cables.
See attached for photos if you want to be sure.
Part number 5457 (USB to SG2 connector) is the cable that I have and can confirm that the micro-B type from Monoprice is the same as used on the SG2.
I have a thread on USB OTG cables, already some around that are very cheap and work
be very interested to hear about the other cable there though!
Yeah, the hdmi cable seems to be the one people are looking/waiting for.
I will update the OP once it gets in. If this thread gets buried to far by then, I can send you a pm instead of bumping the thread if you like.
That'd be great, although I expect lots of others will appreciate the bump if it is to confirm they work!

Meh, they don't ship to Italy S:
Looking at what they say further they are talking about it connecting a Droid X to your television, and the close up shots of the micro-end of this cable do not resemble a micro USB particularly. I think these won't work.
dude, there is no HDMI, micro HDMI or MICRO USB to HDMI port on this phone, its MHL, dont waste your money on that cable.
Your posted HDMI cable will NOT work as it is micros-HDMI to HDMI and not MicroUSB to HDMI as needed on the SDS2.
The cables were cheap enough that I just ordered a few different ones to try out and see if they worked. With all the gadgets I end up buying, the ones that do not work with the phone will come in handy eventually for something else anyway.
Since there is more interest, I will bump the thread once I find out if the other cables I bought work fro the HDMI.
I got my cables in and can confirm that both the micro and mini HDMI cables are not the same end as the Samsung (micro-usb).
I did contact them, and they stated they are working on making a micro-usb to HDMI cable. There is no eta on availability however. I can let you know when I see them in stock if you like because the prices on these cables are pretty high elsewhere right now and will wait until some cheaper ones are released.
Any one know of other external batteries with a built in USB cable, and built in AC adapter like these:
http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-Pocket-Battery-SmartPhones-Black/dp/B003SE6LE4
and
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10833&cs_id=1083110&p_id=6915&seq=1&format=2
Are other products like this around?
What's nice about these is there is no need to carry additional cables.
Is anyone familiar with other products similar to these?
Has anybody used a splitter for 12V port in a car with any luck, particularly with the Nexus Wireless Charger? I have been using a USB adapter with no issue, but could use the extra port.
I have tried two from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/AVANTEK-3-Socket-Cigarette-Dual-Port-Computers/dp/B00F474DVG/ (received a replacement as well)
http://www.amazon.com/cigarette-lighter-charger-Cigarette-splitter/dp/B003YJ8TVQ/
Products both seem to work, Plemo customer service was excellent, too. However, the charger does not work on the 2.1A USB port. If I use the previous USB adapter into the splitter, the charger functions as desired. I believe the charger is max 1.8A? I am using the USB cable that came with the charger, and have tested it with an alternate cable. I have not tested it with a charge-only cable. Don't have much knowledge in these things, so not sure if I should try it with a charge-only cable before trying yet another splitter. Just thought I'd post the question in the meantime to see if anybody had any luck with a similar setup, and what pieces they used for it.
TIA

So since Quick Charge 3 isn't technically spec for USB C, none of the Benson Leung cables will ~actually~ charge at full Quick Charge speed, correct? Is there a consensus on the best quality cable that will charge at full speed, preferably USB 3.0/3.1? It looks like a lot of the cables with the 56k ohm resistor in it don't hit QC3 speed and I just don't want to fry my phone.
What's wrong with the cable that comes with the phone?
The one for the nexus 6p is the best I've used. I've used the lg G5 one but not the one that it comes with

The problem with the one that comes with the phone is it's only USB 2.0 I believe, and they're $20 cables. There's got to be better cables out there than that that are USB 3.0.
Here is the list with verified USB3.0 to type c cables.

Id really like to fine a nice usb-a to usb-c adapter as my MacBook only has usb-a ports and my pixel cable like everyone's is c to c.
Alternatively I'd like to also get a nice ubs-c to usb-a cable.
Lastly just for reference let's hear who has good usb-c to usb-c cables.
Not looking for cheap cables either, let's comprise a listing of only high quality products. Seems a waste to buy a near $1000 dollar phone only to plug it into a crap cable and accidentally fry it. I have no problem spending a little extra coin to ensure a quality product. I'm sure others can relate as well.

These are the only cables I will buy. Contacted Anker when I had an issue with one and they sent me a replacement no questions asked. Top notch product and customer service

I too only buy Anker cables. They are very high quality. I've had the same cable that was linked but in 6' for over a year now and it works great. Some of the best cables, chargers and accessories I've ever bought. I also have an Anker BT speaker that works very well.
I have a few of their latest version. No problems yet.

Wanted to bring this topic back to life.. What about USB-C to USB-C 3.1? I can't find anything longer than 3 feet... at least by a reputable company like Anker.. Any input? My motherboard has USB-C 3.1 onboard and the 3' cable is just too short.. I can get one from Google.. $30

When in doubt, start with Monoprice and compare from there. That said, buying USB-C stuff is super confusing these days with USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Gen1, USB 3.1 Gen2, and now this USB 3.2 stuff coming out (that rebrands USB 3.0 and 3.1 stuff to 3.2). All that said, see if maybe this is what you're looking for? The moment you start going to 3.1 instead of 2.0 or 3.0, you start getting some expensive and thick cables.
Speaking of Monoprice, I'm a big fan of this charger - 45W for $17 right now. I own 3.

Looks like that will do the trick! I just need one long enough to use with my computer. I prefer using the USB C port on my desktop ... I know regular USB-C to USB works fine.. Just my preference. Thanks! I always forget about Monoprice and their wonderful cable selections!
