Ace 2 Problems. Unable to factory reset or Odin update. - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. My cousin gave me her phone and she said that there is something wrong with it. When I turn it on it works for one minute, sometimes for few seconds or few minutes and then automatically reboot itself.
I tried to factory reset the phone and also flash it with Odin. But after everything system is unchanged and nothing happens.
Any suggestions what to do? Thank You

According to my experience, there's nothing you can do other than take it to service Centre.

[Help/Q] Arc dead after regular shutdown

UPDATE: Please see post #11 for update.
So today I was attending my exams, where I was forced to shut my phone off, which usually isn't a problem. However when I tried to turn it on after the exam, it vibrated for a long time (3s), then nothing happened, I tried again, regular start-up vibrate for 1s, but nothing happens afterwards.
At first I thought it was the battery, so when I came home I tried to turn on my phone using charger only. After a couple of tries it started to turn on screen and show SONY logo, after loading the kernel (blue LED turns on), it turns off again. I've tried to enter the recovery, but it still turns off after 1s in the recovery.
I thought it might be related to the FOTA issue somehow, so I flashed the .ta update from the FOTA thread, however that had no effect on this issue.
It's worth mentioning that I was using the same ROM for quite some time and the only change i made since last reboot was to install premium version of baconreader, install facebook app (from the baconreader company), uninstall that app again and that's it.
Phone Info
Model: Xperia Arc
Kernel: Stock ICS with CWM
ROM: Arconium ICS 3.C.
Try to wipe data with flashtool
IF LOCKED bootloader, repair with pc companion
So after a couple of days without using the phone (I'm at a LAN party, so I don't really need it right now), I found it being turned on in my backpack since yesterday. Pretty odd, don't know what the reason was though. Haven't tried turning it off and on again yet, need it tomorrow

Update:
So after ½ days of use, the phone froze in some menu, and is unable to boot again.
How do I wipe data with Flashtool? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I can only connect in Flash/Fastboot modes.

I've tried pulling the battery many times but that did not help in my case..
Okay so for other people who might face the same issue and stumble upon this thread through google or so, this is how i fixed it;
Flashed stock firmware,
Flashed stock kernel with CWM,
Used charger to boot the phone into CWM (the phone would turn on if I put it on charger),
Wiped everything I could (battery stats, dalvik, cache, data, system)
Formatted everything I could (/sdcard, /system, /data)
Mounted USB in CWM, transferred Arconium 3.C ROM to it
Flashed Arconium ROM, let it boot.
Phone works fine now
I believe it was a software error, however I don't know why it wouldn't even show SONY logo before, even if I reflashed the kernel (kernel loads before ROM, so should be unaffected iirc).
I have similar problem, but after flash ROM - Arconium 3.c and reboot, just show me logo SONY and that is all, nothing more, my LT18i no boot up.
Andorid 4.0.4, baseband 70, 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected]#1, 4.1.B.0.431, I use stock Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680793
).
Where is the problem, please help me to solve this. I ask in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1700163), but no one help me and I need to solve this today, and it could be similar problem, maybe. Thanks a lot.
I think Arconium 3 not running on kernel 4.0.4 of stock, try to put an alternate kernel
Update
So today I turned my phone off, only to see the same problem appear again.
I've tried everything. FOTA fix, reflashing kernel, system, firmware, clearing data, etc etc, nothing has helped so far.
I can get into fastboot and flashmode without problems, but if I try turning on the phone, it vibrates shortly and the LED light blinks.

have you gone back to pure unrooted stock?
this would proove it is not the kernel or bootlaoder...

Thank you for your reply.
Yes I've tried unrooted stock firmware and kernel. I've also tried relock bootloader and SUS / PC Companion, but they always say that the latests firmware is already installed or that they don't have any firmware for me (when trying repair phone function).
I've unlocked the bootloader again though (just using code from Sony again).
So I let it in the charger over the night (~8hrs) and when I woke up it showed the battery icon, however when I took it out of the charger and flashed the kernel I wanted to use (Anzu KTG), it wouldn't turn on again. I should've just booted it from charging mode
The whole issue seems weird though.

[Q] Phone stuck at the SAMSUNG screen after rom flashing

Hi folks I followed the instruction on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004650 to flash the ROM back to 4.11 for my Rogers Note II. After I received PASS from Odin the phone was rebooted but then it has been stuck at the SAMSUNG only screen for a long time (like 30 mins now). I am wondering if this is normal (that I just need to wait it out) or if there is something wrong how I should fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Factory reset

If ODIN says "pass" and the phone has restarted, you're fine. You might want to take the battery off and turn the phone back on. If that doesn't fix it, go back into recovery and clear cache and dalvik. If none of that helps, only then do a factory reset. As a last resort, reflash the ROM and see if it works.

Thanks. The issue is because I am not able to pass the SAMSUNG startup screen I don't have many options (like factory reset). I will just try to reflash the ROM and see if it helps.

You have to boot in recovery for you to see this option.

[Q] Can't start my Galaxy Nexus

Hi evereybody.
I have a GSM galaxy nexus with 4.2.2. Since approximately a month ago the phone started to reboot itself randomly. Sometimes when I was surfing the web, other times when the phone was on standby at night. Well, since the reboots were becoming more frequent I decided to do a factory reset, because I assumed that it was a corrupt application file or something like that. One week into the factory reset it started restarting again by itself, maybe 2 times a day. I searched the web, couldn't find anything useful so I told myself that the 4.3 update should solve the problem (naive me).
Today the update popped and I intermediately installed it. What is my surprise, that in the middle of installation I get the droid icon down on his back and an ERROR message. Rebooted the phone pulling out the battery and now the phone won't pass the multicolored X screen.
I have no unlocked bootloader, and the phone isn't rooted. So I tried to do a factory reset with the default recovery mode the galaxy nexus has. I wiped the phone but I get stuck on the same screen. The funny thing is that every time I try to wipe the caché partition the phone reboots itself immediately.
I don't know what to do. I'm not an advance user, I installed the GNEX TOOLKIT and tried to flash the factory image, but seems like I don't have the USB DEBUGGING option enabled and can't complete the process.
Do I need to send my phone back? (i'm still in warranty) Or is there a way to be able to start my Gnex again?
Thanks in advance.

Galaxy Nexus refuses to work properly

Hello. So my problem is as follows : out of the blue, my galaxy nexus started to reboot after getting to android (10-15 seconds after booting into the OS). I tried to uninstall some apps, but couldn't because i would get a FC and then the device would freeze.
After i got sick of that, i tried to reboot into CWM and do literally everything to try and fix the phone (this includes sideloading a different rom, factory reset, cache wipe, formatting all of the partitions) but to no avail, the device keeps returning to the same state ! (even after restarting and turning off 3G or wifi the device wouldn't register the command).
Needless to say, i cant backup my phone and cant reach a state that the internal SD will be visible under windows.
What can i do ? i am completely hopeless and would love for some tips on what to do.
P.S - because the phone remembers the last state he was in, and wouldn't write any new information, i believe the problem is with the internal sd memory, but i hope to god i'm wrong. And factory reset from android is impossible because selecting anything instantly reboots the device.
Please, please..help me.

Have you tried wiping everything through Fastboot? There are a few steps that can wipe the bootloader, boot, userdata, and other components. That could help you out.

I tried using fastboot just now, through CWM (sideload), but i think the phone needs to be in the os and connected as a MTP..problem is i can't reach that state.
P.S - Does the phone need to be in android for fastboot to work ?! because otherwise i'm back to square one.

Yes. Turn the phone off. Hold the volume down button while turning the phone on. Keep holding the button down until you see "Starting Fastboot Protocol" and then you can do what you have to do.

I tried to do what you said, but i just get the message "downloading..do not turn off target". I also tried Odin through fastboot but recieved a fail message 4 times in a row (after changing computers, usb ports etc..)
Is there anything else i can do ?
I don't understand what the hell is going on..I tried to flash stock firmware through Nexus Root Toolkit, and it said that the flash was successful and i saw how i deleted all my user data and formatted the sd card, but when the device restarted, it was back in the state it was and nothing was altered or changed in any way.
Is this even possible ?!

Phone always crashing, even on stock firmware?

Hello all,
This is just the continuation of my last post - http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/help/s4-acting-buggy-using-roms-t3306395
I was recommended to use Odin to flash the original 4.4.4 firmware, so I did just that and my phone worked for a few hours. But then, it would freeze again and force reboot. Then it would get stuck in bootloop and I would have to take the battery out to reset it. When this finally loaded, I wouldn't get any service and told me to insert an SIM card even though there was one already inserted. A few moments later it would crash again.
After this, I flashed the 4.4.2 firmware through Odin, and the same things kept happening. I'd only be able to use my phone normally for about an hour or so and then the cycle of crashing and bootlooping would start again.
I noticed that whenever I did a factory reset and wiped all data, the phone would work normally for a short period of time. But as usual, a bit later it will freeze.
Is this just a hardware problem with my phone and practically unsolvable, or is there a fix to this?
Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

Yup, I tried rebooting without my SD card as well, same problem occurs. And usually what happens is it'll boot up, but becomes unresponsive as soon as I touch it. It will then reboot by itself and go into a bootloop. In the rare occasion I am able to bypass my lock screen after booting, I get a com.process is not responding and my background is all black. This too will eventually freeze and enter a bootloop.
