This is absolutely pointless, and subjective.

I've tried many ROM and found that Cataclysm is the best for me. But it depends. Better try yourself.

I've unlocked & rooted my LTE Gnex, what's next? which rom should try first?
remove bloatware.
IMO AOKP is the best ROM for the GN right now.
It's AOKP as the most popular rom for Galaxy Nexus and the second most popular would be Codename. There are other good roms, but nothing comes close to these two in popularity. I think codename post in xda. Their personal websites and rootzwiki gets their updates first. Those are also the websites were you will have more direct contact with those two developers.

Another vote for aokp

My vote would go towards using GummyNex. It suits my daily needs well, and provides me with superb battery life. Just run through all the ROM's using nandroid with Titanium Backup, which makes switching between each ROM extremely easy.
Cyanogemod, Stock, AOSP, Pitchblack, Blackice, paranoid Android, or any other?
Long time reader, just got into flashing custom on my Galaxy Nexus, having fun so far. Though only tried bixie custom stock and cyanogemod 10.1 so far. Thanks to all the devs who create the roms and their work and added features.
aokp 4.1.2 milestone 1
no matter what rom/kernel mix i use, this one is always the best
AOSPA hands down. Nothing has managed to take me away from it for months, and before that I was a crackflasher
Been using Atom for a while and been very happy with it

I love AOKP for the sheer amount of things you can customize in that rom. I used it solely because of the ability to make the nav bar smaller.
I have been a fan of CM since 2009, and have always appreciated their abilities. A lot of roms use them as a base, so they must be doing something right.
I used ParanoidAndroid recently, and while I liked it, and it shows promise, it ran like crap on my phone.
I just use a stock rooted rom (verizon 4.2.2), as it runs the best on my phone. CM, AOKP, and PA were all laggy compared to stock for me.
Stock, because everything else starts acting up sooner or later and I hate restoring my data over and over again.

Discussions of this type are generally not allowed on the forum as there's never a perfect answer and they tend to generate unnecessary bickering. Try out a few and see what works best for your situation.

Im using darkjelly right now, sofar so good, any advise on which is the most stable rom?

Stock is most stable... not sure what your definition of "best" is, but it will definitely change based on what features you want/like/need in a ROM. Try them all out and pick the one that works best for you is my advice.
As railed said, there is no 'best' rom, it depends on what features you want.
Personally I use CM and it's rock solid, but so is pretty much any rom, it's a Nexus device after all
I use CM Kangs with Faux kernel. No issues.
Thanks guys for your insight.

I've been using Slim Bean; no problems so far. I like the non-standard DPI setting (perfect for me) and it has quite a few more customization options than the stock ROM.

Here on XDA we prefer not to allow best ROM threads as there is never just one 'best ROM' and which is the best often depends on the user, what they want from their device etc.
This plus best rom threads often spark arguments between users as to which is best.
Thank you
After falling in love with my Nexus 5 y decided to buy a Nexus 7 2013 and I have to say stock ROM (KK) suck on the N7. I switched to Cyanogenmod 10.2.1 (4.3.1) and now it's incredibly fast en smooth. Based on your opinion and use, which is the best ROM for the N7?
Most people don't like "best rom posts", but I could recommend some.
Depending if you want speed or custom ability, there's a lot of different N7 Roms. Speed, I used cleanrom with elementalx kernel, works great. CM and PA and both good for customability.
You could also try out multirom to try out multiple Roms at once. I've never tried it, but heard its cool. Just make nandroid backups in cwm recovery so you can transfer data to each ROM.

You can try and decide which one fit your needs.

What is everyone's favorite ROM for the nexus 7 for android 4.4.2 in terms of stability and the most features? Thanks!
Stock ROM, ElementalX Kernel, Xposed Framework, and dalvik and bionic patches. With xposed you can pretty much get the features of custom roms , and since nexus devices are already vanilla android, there's not much to change other than bloatware.

There is not such thing,as best rom.Try them for yourself and deside which one is best for you.
