Which rom is your favorite? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Cyanogemod, Stock, AOSP, Pitchblack, Blackice, paranoid Android, or any other?
Long time reader, just got into flashing custom on my Galaxy Nexus, having fun so far. Though only tried bixie custom stock and cyanogemod 10.1 so far. Thanks to all the devs who create the roms and their work and added features.

aokp 4.1.2 milestone 1
no matter what rom/kernel mix i use, this one is always the best

AOSPA hands down. Nothing has managed to take me away from it for months, and before that I was a crackflasher

Been using Atom for a while and been very happy with it

I love AOKP for the sheer amount of things you can customize in that rom. I used it solely because of the ability to make the nav bar smaller.
I have been a fan of CM since 2009, and have always appreciated their abilities. A lot of roms use them as a base, so they must be doing something right.
I used ParanoidAndroid recently, and while I liked it, and it shows promise, it ran like crap on my phone.
I just use a stock rooted rom (verizon 4.2.2), as it runs the best on my phone. CM, AOKP, and PA were all laggy compared to stock for me.

Stock, because everything else starts acting up sooner or later and I hate restoring my data over and over again.

unlocked & rooted, what's next ?

I've unlocked & rooted my LTE Gnex, what's next? which rom should try first?
remove bloatware.
IMO AOKP is the best ROM for the GN right now.
It's AOKP as the most popular rom for Galaxy Nexus and the second most popular would be Codename. There are other good roms, but nothing comes close to these two in popularity. I think codename post in xda. Their personal websites and rootzwiki gets their updates first. Those are also the websites were you will have more direct contact with those two developers.

Another vote for aokp

My vote would go towards using GummyNex. It suits my daily needs well, and provides me with superb battery life. Just run through all the ROM's using nandroid with Titanium Backup, which makes switching between each ROM extremely easy.

What ROM are you guys running?

I'm running BAMF since about a week ago, coming from AOKP. I'm just wondering what you guys are running cause I'm curious to see what your results are with other ROMs. And if someone wants to post a big list of all the available nexus roms, don't hesitate I'm mainly looking for battery life in a ROM, customization aren't too important, I just like my notification toggles basically. Share your setups!

I'm on AOKP r29 with franco.Kernel nightly build.
Currently trying hotplug governor. 384Mhz to 1228MHz
Ya I love aokp, but I wanna try something a little more simpler and closer to stock maybe. I'm thinking about trying gummynex

lol.....you seriously believed him?? You can't first of all....and iOS 6.2 isn't even out.
It's part of the reason for getting a Nexus....but not exactly. Nexus are still meant to be flashed because the developer community is awesome and since it's more open source than other devices ROMs are easier to develop?? It also gets updates faster.....idk at least you have the choice to run pure stock or pure awesome ROM
Gummy 4.0.4 with trinity stable. Lovely job. Screen on for 2 hrs 40 mins so far, 1 day and 10 hours up time and 29% battery remaining. Very happy camper!

I am in the same boat as you are.
On my old Captivate I was flashing a new rom almost once a week, which I still have and might update from time to time with other roms, and I also have a galaxy tab 10.1 that I flash new roms every so often but still not as often as I was doing with the Captivate.
Now, I dont know why but I flashed a rom once (I dont remember which one it was even) on my nexus and like the next day I went back to stock. Since then I kept it on stock yakju builds and the only flashing I do is when google releases stock builds to get the updates.
As long as the phone is working then I will be happy.
I have felt like you guys recently, i havent been to interested in flashing. Ive been working alot lately so i dont really have the time anymore and i just really dont care anymore. I just want my phone to run nicely and have some good battery life. So im just looking for a solid ROM to stick with and be done with flashing everything. On my nexus s i flashed every day, but since i got my galaxy nexus i went straight to AOKP and stayed there, now i got interested in trying some new stuff which lasted me a week and now im back to AOKP and i think ill just stay and stop wasting time on other ROMs. I just tried Gummy 0.9.5 and it was very laggy for me. On AOKP B29 now and ill stay for a bit. Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep them coming

For me gnex + aokp + franco = the best android experience so far
Coming from the gs2 i was flashing new roms on the daily because i liked to and well because the roms never felt complete with random fc's and the promise of better things to come and well the hunger for more was always there, it would always be something glitching or fc'ing and this would be enough to convince me its time for a new rom
But the gnex on m4 and franco 110 everything works not just work but work damn well too! My friends laugh at my 5mp camera then realise ive already taken my photo with no shutter lag while their phone is still focusing the gnex is pure win in a box , for me the software hardware integration is amazing, the developers aswel have done an even better job in enhancing the experience for gnex owners. My only gripe with the gnex was not having toggle switches but aokp fixed that
All in all i dont feel the need to be flashing roms all the time on this phone when everything just works flawlessly

CM-Nein.
The customizations have been slower to return to ICS, but it has what I need merged so far and they're implemented well, i.e. not just poorly coded into existence.

I find the "no shutter lag" to be BS. It takes me nexus so long to focus and take a picture. Im on AOKP B29 and franco 116.

Rooted stock for me, love the ICS look and how smooth it runs without needing much TLC.
Of course if you do ROM it up, go with AOKP, CM9, or Liquid. Those are the 3 best out there right now (At least on the CDMA side of things).
GummyNex & AOKP are the most customizable and therefore my favorites.
Franco Kernels get alot of love and are definately worth looking into.
I just came from a GS2 and am running AOKP. I flashed CM9 but quickly switched back because AOKP was more customizable.

Liquid or Aokp?

I want smoothness and customiziability(I know its not a word lol). I don't have a g-nex yet but will buy one this month, hopefully. So I just wanted to know ahead of time

I can speak for AOKP as a great rom stable / great features / power saver / nice performance..
As for liquid.. I was about to try it but meh they wont support spanish
Galaxy Nexus AOKP m5 Franco kernel m3
+1 on that
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Why don´t you try both when you got your Gnex and see which one you like better?
btw, i would recommend Slim ICS (3.7) which has almost all the features of AOKP but is way faster.
There are a lot of nice Roms there, so just give them a try. No need to think about it when u haven´t got your phone yet
I have just bought my new GN and i can tell you for sure that you have to try every rom for yourself. I mean, I tried stock one (4.0.4), AOKP Milestone 5 and Foxhound 0.5. For example, I was not satisfied with battery usage of AOKP: in fact, I tried Foxhound and I am really satisfied. So, try whatever you want, it's free-of-charge man!

Galaxy Nexus AOKP m5 Franco kernel m3
I must say AOKP. Been using it on and off since build 28 and it's the most feature-complete ROM I have ever seen.
I'm considering either PARANOIDANDROID when the next jawdropping release hits XDA or Cyanogenmod 9. I tried Liquidsmooth, but since it reminded me so much of AOKP, I chose to stay with AOKP.
thanks everyone for their opinions it means a lot

What ROM are you currently using?

With so many ROM's available, I'm curious as to which one is getting the most love.
I haven't listed all ROM's. I've gone through Development forum and the Galaxy Nexus Index and picked what I think might be the most appropriate based on replies/posts in the individual ROM's thread as well as when the ROM was last updated.
If you could also post below why you are using the ROM you voted for that would be great.
If you are using a ROM not listed in the poll, please mention it below also.
AOKP
Not only it is super fast and smooth with Franco Kernel, but also it has tons and tons of customization in this ROM that I love. Also the look on my friends face when I show them my unicorn and swagger toggle is priceless
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel
I am loving AffinitySeries from Android Developer Alliance. It hasn't been updated for almost 2 months but it doesn't need one. I have been running it for a month and a half and have never had an issue. It is solid, fast and has just enough customizations. I am running it with Franco's kernel and Dustin's Cobalt theme and haven't found a combination yet that tops it.
As if having a great ROM wasn't enough, ADA is also a very pleasant and professional group. The devs are active in their threads and will answer questions promptly and without condescension.
Allons-y
Xenon HD
Give it a try it is super stable and has also a ton of customizations! Updates are on a weekly basis or faster if there is a severe bug!

codename (android)
the best rom for me, combine with zenbook series kernel make this rom even better. codename android like combination of aokp and cynogenmod but stable and fast...
sorry for mt bad english

100% codename... but PA is way to cool too...
I just keep changin between these two.
Codename Android. So good rom that I haven't even bothered trying any others. Have used Trinity kernel with it but now testing lean.
MIUI
Lots of options, but mainly because its just different. Both my gf and a close friend have the gnex so it seems like I'm surrounded by aosp devices.

Hands down Paranoidandroid. With every update comes brand new features, not to mention smoothness and speed improvements. After using this rom initially back on my Droid Incredible 2 I immediately rooted and flashed this on day 1 of owning my Gnex, there is no way I can go back to using anything else, this rom has more customizations and options than anything I have ever used in the 3 1/2 yrs I've been using android.
To top that off PA is typically updated once and sometimes twice in a week, besides CM10 nighties I can't think of a rom that gets that much attention and brings brand new options with every update! The fact that Maguro, Toro and Toroplus are all overseen is the other thing that makes it so amazing, most developers build roms for maguro and us over in toro and toroplus land have to wait quite awhile to get our port if it ever happens.
Bottomline, this rom is AMAZING!
Rasbean and lean because well its just so smooth

Loving Sourcery! I would actually run rasbean if I could change the navbar like you can with aokp/cna/Sourcery. I have to have a power button on my navbar, mainly because of worries about wearing out the physical power button.

So far I love it lots of options and super fast I have it overclocked to 1.8
With no problems very stable and smooth I have also removed the
