I've come across a lot of different tools that are used for android theming, but I'm curious as to what you guys would recommend. Or is manually theming each individual app the way to go?

Where can I go to learn to theme, or at least learn the basics?
I have two roms, I know how to make things like task bars change between two roms, but the rom I use has green selection color as well as inside text boxes, I like that better than blue or orange, I jut can't figure how to change that over as well

Let me know what you need to do. Supply me with the names of the files you are trying to work with and what folders they are in. I can help you.
It would be awesome to see a comprehensive guide on setting up/installing/tweaking themes/home screens. This is my first android coming off a palm treo755p and there wasnt alot of theme action there. So I'm pretty lost other than just downloading some adw themes.

I'm currently working on that but its a lot of writing and I will need screenshots to keep it from getting too confusing.

Hey guys I just rooted my galaxy nexus with the stock rom. I am wondering what I can do now, and specifically how I can begin theming my gn with custom icons and stuff. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? I'm very new at this.
Start with jrummys "rom toolbox" you can easily change fonts, icons like battery, WiFi and stuff. Then to customize it a bit more head over to rootzwiki and get some boot animations designed for the nexus. I'd start there nice and easy so you don't screw anything up.

Thanks for your help. I seem to have a good direction to follow now.
You can't modify your ROM's looks without using a deodexed version of the ROM.
Look around the dev forums and browse for what you'd like to be using.
There are also exceptional themes for specific ROMs.
Best tip is just to browse the forums and look
any suggestions? I would like to have as few bugs as possible.
Personally I am a big fan of AOKP as there are a lot of themes available for it, constant development, and great controls built into the settings menu. That's not mentioning the exceptional battery life I get.
I am now running this on my gnex and gtab
I work download cache apps...it will ckear cache through the systems...

also make a nanbackup before making changes to themes and installing roms.

I am having an issue sticking to one rom, I love certain built in mods of some but like the visual feel of another, I've heard of using ninjamorph to switch out icons and certain themed aspects of roms, but where are these files in the system ? And maybe if someone knows other ways of interchanging parts of roms that would be great also.
Thanks

Tried searching in both development and original and found nothing of the sort. Just wondering if it's possible to "theme" the multi window function. Maybe change the colors (to go along with current theme) etc.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for theming LG apps, framework, mms and etc? I'd like to make custom colors to share with our fellow D851 users.
I'm interested in that as well if you find out anything give me a heads up.
