Dear,
Today i was trying to replace my oneplus one camera, but to be able to do that, I had to remove the motherboard.
But, when trying to do so, I broke my volume flex cable ( please dont ask me how .. )
I saw a flex cable on Ebay. but the cable it self is soldered to the motherboard,
is there any way to get that loose?
Keep in mind, I dont have a solder at home.
Please help me!
what you need to do is welding it.it is very easy.
here its very easy to do.but you may cost more money to prepare an electric soldering iron

It is the gold thing next to the qr code.
Do I need to detach that whole thing, including those gold pins?

There arn't any gold pins. However desolder the 3 Pins and pull of the flexcabel, afterwards place the new flex on the port, put some soldering flux on it and then start the soldering process.
There is no way to put a new volume flex on it without equiment...

Well it depends on your skills, so i can't tell U if its save. Ofc u can break something when doing it wrong, like put to much temperature on the board but it will likely not happen
Atleast for me, its safe and easy to replace such parts.

buddy of mine is a miracle worker when it comes to soldering stuffs in mobile motherboards, i had my oneplus's back cover removed for some reason and ended up poking the screw tool on the flex, only one of the line got a dent and the keys stopped working, and he did his magic by bypassing the damaged line with a older droplet.
there must be someone around you who is real good with their hands, try someone/place where theres no rush, who might have plenty of time on these kind of tricky works.
good luck.

You can check sticky's tutorial guide of how to take apart your dash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=525869 if you want to literally see how you can remove your USB. But if you want anyother info you should be more specific in what help you are seeking in this forum.

My phone is the same way I believe it has to do with the connector coming loose. The way I fixed this is by holding the phone by the usb connector when plugged in instead of the phone. I hold the USB cable right by the the part you plug in and the weight of the phone will usually balance out and it will connect. My phone is very touchy also let me know if this has helped.

You can look in ebay
I'm looking to buy a replacement digitizer because mine has a crack in it. Now I can buy 2 different kinds on eBay, with or without the IC on the cable. Is there any way to check which one I have without taking out the digitizer? Because I don't have the tools to do this and they come with the screen I can buy.
.................................ciao
Old but since no one answered I will.
Remove SIM card and if under it you can see IC ,you need digitizer with IC
I saw instructions on:
Code:
askmefast.com/How_can_I_see_on_my_HTC_Wildfire_if_the_digitizer_is_with_IC_or_not-qna1265945.html
I found it out myself: You have to remove the back (6 screws, breaks void), behind the the simcard reader is a small opening in the circuit board and if there is a black cable, you have no IC. If there is some microchip, then you need the version with the IC. Thanks anyways

So no way to tell without disassembly? One post says you have to disassemble and one doesnt...
Here's mine.. Anyone tell if I need the IC or not?

Thanks for that! I just found out now that the MicroUSB/MHL connector is directly on the mainboard... I thought it would have been a small seperate PCB... that's going to be annoying to repair!

you can't buy it, everything is on ther from the cpu to display, wifi and radio, your only option is take it back to samsung.
I had a sony x10i. Cost me more than a new phone to reclame it
Isnt there a pièce of paper stuck inside?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app

No, unfortunately not. It works better with certain cables... I can get a socket for 8 euro... I will check out repair costs and I may buy the equipment rather than pay a ton of money to get it repaired if it comes to that...
Do you successfully replace it? And where you find it?
Because i think mine have to be replaced. Is it hard to replace?
My i9300 felt few times one ground with charger and i accidently drop cofee on it. Then, only charge remain and 2 days after nothing. But everything else is working perfecly.
Thank for helping me!
Sorry for my inglish, its not my native language.
Hi, the socket is on the motherboard and not a separate piece like on some other phones. So either replace the motherboard for about half the price of the phone or find a repair shop that will solder a replacement part on to the phone for you.
I got this phone 2 days ago, and I have noticed that the USB that came with it, has something like 2 little teeth at the bottom (I guess they are made to hold in the USB better)... But I kind of have to force the USB to come in, and I am afraid that I will damage the port. So is this USB safe to use and can it damage the port? Should I get an USB from another phone?

its fine. it's just new and needs to be broken in some. I would make an analogy to something else, but don't think it would be appropriate on xda

Its fine, 2 little teeth on the flat part, good usb cables will require some effort and may make a click sound.
My 3rd party usb have smaller teeth which makes the connection flimsy and insecure which is worse over time as it can bend the connection in the phone.
you shouldn't worry, you could use a Qi charger, what's worse is dust and lint blocking up the port being in your pocket which requires a clean
The cable will ware out before the port on your phone does. That's why it was designed that way, I believe.
I believe this wont damage your device

Broken in like a car!
Somehow I broke the white connector tab that attaches the digitizer to the left side of the motherboard. I've opened it 200 times before but this time the tab came loose from the motherboard completely. Does anyone have any experience with this issue.? Also the antenna port in the upper part of the motherboard just pulled off when i pulled up the connector so now that is completely unsoldered from the board. im starting to think this phone is done. any body have any recommendations? its basically just unsoldered connections..
