Looking for the KitKat firmware (T700XAR1ANL2). Just hoping someone has it stored online somewhere I can download it faster than 15 kB/s. I don't feel like waiting nearly 24 hours to download it. Can anyone help?

OK so i got a cheepo android tablet one of those Chinese jobs for 150 bucks it's got 2.2 froyo with some modding to the base 2.2... i think so cause where there would be a phone symbol on the side bar? there is the picture viewer. it's pretty quick, does flash 10.1 well(watchin vids on youtube and megavideo etc), surfs like a champ, got beautiful widgets with the live weather background... barely lags it at boot and wake up is no lag. but when i go into the settings/about device and look at battery use, it says "Cell Standby" 70% well this is a tablet, wifi only, no 3g no 4g no justin beiber 6g not even bluetooth. how can i get this to turn off?? it does not affect it's usage even when in "airplane" mode either. any idea's? i'm only getting 3-4 hours out of this thing when it's using wifi and casually surfing and bouncing to fb n back.
Also after playing with this for a few weeks i decided to get a viewsonic 10.1 and give this to my mom's, can u recommend anything i can do to this Chinese tablet to make it mom friendly? she already likes it. just wanna make it easier for her to use

soo bout 60 of you read the post and not a single one has anything to say? man this place is helpful....
nvm, i guess the only way you get help here is if you have no life and can spend 6-8 hours a day reading forums.
i see this is another one of those needed forums that the people that have the answers think "they have better things to do" way to keep the spirit of open source alive.
and go ahead and say oh they are working on this and that... reading new posts and replying take 15 min of your day i'll just figure it out myself... without this forum, better off without the elitists
not a single idea

Hmm. You can root your phone and install application that can delete applications that you can't delete without it.
You need to delete phone and anything u wish to not have with it.
Watch it.
It is not safe beacuse I am sleepy now a lot. And having a lack of time to answer normaly and check it all.
But next to me is sleeping china joyplus m778 tablet waits to be rooted. But I am unavalilable beacuse of the programs freeze (super one click 2.1.1)
Your tablet is like a psyco wannabe mobile.
And that is the main reason of turning it up by itself, and spend so much battery.
i know my post is unusable but there is some valuable information I hope?.
Cheers
I just spent money on this Archos 70 as I read it was a Android based device therefore Netflix on a bog screen sounded awesome to me. I have read all the things on this site about how to get it working and nothing is working. Can someone please help? I mean explain it to me like I'm an 8 year old.
Thank you for all of the help!
EDIT: For some reason the first installation of the new firmaware didn't take. so i reinstalled it and it works amazingly!!
Of course as i post this the site comes back up after 30 minutes of being down XD. Mods can delete
It's running slow as can be though now for me after waiting an hour for it to come up now i'm getting 22.5kb/sec this is unbearable since the file is over 1gb
9 hours and 3 minutes eta
The Telus/Bell are both the i747m I believe but when I do flashing/roms, I'm guessing I pick just the same as the AT&T but looking through a few things, all seems rather complicated now, seems like some are asking if I'm Telus or Bell. I had someone unlock my phone from Telus so I could use it on the Bell network. Reason being, I used someones promotional contract to buy it on their Telus account but unlocked it to work on Bell. So when I do anything custom to this phone and download the correct files, would I download the Telus files or Bell files? On a personal note, I don't plan on ever using Telus. Ever...
Also my samsung s3 is running incredibly slow and i'm not sure why. Is there a way to find this out? It's felt slow since day 1 and when I loaded my sms from my iPhone it went slower on messages and the whole in general, however I'm not totally sure it's directly related. Apparently I have 46,000 sms, but would this really slow down all sms and my whole phone? these are just text files the xml backup file is only 15MB. I'm preparing to move to CM10 once I undersatnd more and their next build is out. My phone is terribly slow. half the time i get an error asking me to stop sms or wait for it to respond and the phone takes about 3 to 4 seconds to respond on certain things. My phone battery lasts about 8 hours max. charging from 0% to full takes about 4-6 hours. it dies faster than it charges it seems.
Holy crap that's a lot of sms!
Have you tried erasing them all (after backing them up) to see if performance improves? That might be a good place to start.
In terms of poor battery, I suffered the same thing. After testing and documenting I was able to exchange the battery for a new one. Things are much better now.
Search XDA for 'better battery stats' and install it. It may help track down your battery drain issue(s).

I am in the opposite situation. i am on telus but using unlocked bell s3. in my case i dont have performance issue but i hate the bloatware that comes with bell version. when i install Telus software, Kies complains and tell me the software update for this phone is not supported. when i go back to bell software then it is ok. Maybe we should swap phones
Both of yall with problems are obviously running touchwiz software, and doing everything possible not to wipe... or switch ROMs... doesn't even have to be AOSP, but 14k SMS?! Better be for court... export them to an .XML
Completely start over with yalls phones, starting with stock ROM, then root, then flash to something else, NO restoring ANYTHING... guarantee it'll run better...
Hi guys, just joined this great forum to see if i can get a fix for the battery issues i am experiencing after upgrading my android software to lollipop.
I sometimes get down to around 60% and it'll just drop off a cliff and shut down. Turning it back on see's it at 1%
Any ideas on a fix or how to roll back to a previous version of android.
Thanks a million

Sounds similar to this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...ttery-reporting-phone-dying-suddenly-t3095120. Some people have complained about LP being worse on battery, but what you're describing is something wrong. If you read that thread, it seems like rolling back to KK usually doesn't fix it. I've seen other threads too, where people can't get over 50% on a charge, etc. Seems like it may be bad battery or hardware in some cases. Anyway, you could reflash, and test it out, maybe with a different customization, or something, or try to roll back. The best way to do that would probably be Flashtool, unless you have unlocked bl, and adb on your PC, (or recovery installed already), then you could just download a KK ROM and flash through recovery.
