Galaxy tab kids help to fix "kids mode stop working" - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought a Galaxy tab kids in a clousout store. So no refunds chages or anything.
When I set up the tablet on kids mode it always do a black screen with " kids mode stop working" I tried the hard reset from settings.. and still do the same. I tried to use kies to fix it but after kies download the firmware it freezes and stops working. So I read abaut using Odin. I found one kids mode USA version rom. I got odin 3.7 I unzipped the rom and can't find the .tar.md5 file. So I don't know what can I do. I Google about finding the .tar.md5 file but all it says is I need to unzippe the file. I need help please. Ou and I contact samsung about the tab problem. They said warranty is expired.
Thank you in advance for your help

[Q] Firmware upgrade encountered an issue.Select recovery mode in Kies & try againn
Hey guys i just got my Galaxy s 3 tonight and I came home and tried to root it.I was in Odin. I selected PDA, selected the tar file and tried to root. It started then said "fail." I tried to restart but I'm stuck at a screen saying "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again." I am using a Rogers Galaxy S3 in Canada. All I'm seeing on my screen is "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again." At the top left it says:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747M
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (1 counts)
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
QUALCUM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Just for giggles, plug your phone into Odin on that screen. If it recognizes it (blue com box lights up), use that screen as download mode. But, i would download your file again, making sure to get the one for the I747M.
Really?

If you can get your device back into download mode, you could relay the stock firmware from www.stockbroker.net. Select the file you downloaded under pda in Odin and flash it. Hope this helps. You can try to root again from there.

Upgraded to 4.1.1 even after soft-brick !
Soft-brick aka " firmware upgrade encountered an issue " - screen in galaxy s3 sgh-i747 is a warning bell that somehow device might get interrupted while updating firmware , now i tried twice with old odin , and twice with new odin , what you got to do is just keep on trying and make sure that your galaxy s3 SGH-i747 drives are installed then after restart your pc , tried kies already , just waste of times , wasted 2 hours yet that official software didnt help me to upgrade or recover my device !
Finally i executed Odin 3.7 ( run as admin ) then --> ticked box : auto reboot , F. reset time ! upload that Firmware upgrade of Jelly bean in PDA section and wait till it gets loaded then press start ! ( i had to do this 3 times n then it worked , so dont lose the hope , keep trying over and over again ) and it will take 6~7 minutes as new OS is big around 1 GB ! so dont unplug device and ur done , then after completion , cellphone will restart with new settings and new OS !

This is for the S3, flashing it's firmware on the Note 2 won't work. I highly suggest you go on the Note 2 section.
I found a fix for this problem

2)Go into download mode
3) connect your device to the computer and run ODIN as an administrator
4)Open the file and click start
5) Your phone should reboot
6) if your phone gets in a boot loop you need to download the latest firmware for your device
I hope this could help you, if the instructuions were unclear, send me a message and i will do my best to help you!

Download cwm-touch-i717-120414.tar.md5
Connect to Odin.
Once Odin Recognizes/connects to your phone.
Download Clockwork: (Download cwm-touch-i717-120414.tar.md5)
Choose PDA and browse to the file and click Start on Odin.
Your Phone should now Reboot correctly.
Make sure you download the correct "new MOD" for your phone.

Galaxy S4 mini hard brick no root

Hi mates,
a friend gave me his s4 galaxy mini lte gt-i9195 that is hard bricked.
it was all official, it's no rooted and with official rom 4.4.2 kitkat.
after an official update via ota, the phone start to go on bootloop, i can enter on download mode and recovery mode.
recovery mode is usless cause it says no data found. and when i try to wipe cache and data, it says "e footer is wrong e signature verification failed".
i've try to repair it from keis but nothing's happened.
also odin was useless for me, maybe cause i've usedd it in the wrong way.
someone can help me?
thank you, squall_17
If you use ODIN make sure you uninstall Kies and also disable firewall and antivirus. Don't uninstall drivers do if it asks you to. Also using Odin on anything above Windows 7 you may run into problems
ok thank you for the info, so i have to use odin and set to ap the firmware right?, i don't know the version of this phone, so can i use every firmware that i want?
Most if not all latest i9195 firmware should work. Try just stick to one for your country. And yes AP is where it goes. Good luck
Hi again guys,
for first, i want to say thanks to moderator to have moved my thread in the right section and say sorry for my error.
for second, i've tryed with a ita firmware 'cause i'm italian, odin say pass after the process finished, but nothing is changed, the only information that i could give is that on recovery mod there is this code on the left top: "kot49h.i9195xxucnk1".
I talk with my friend and he told me that he bought the phone online, and maybe from France.
Is there a way to install an ita rom?...or what can I do?
Thank you, Squall_17

I need help with my samsung tab s 10.5

Hi i need help with my tab s 10.5, the wifi and bluetooth stopped working and i seen on this site that i might need to do a update so i downloaded one and tried to install it, but around 95% complete it failed and then when i turned the tab on it said somthing about firmware update failed and recover wi kies. I then tried another update and all i get when the tab turns on is the sound it makes when coming on and see the samsung logo but thats all i get and the logo wont go away. What have i done wrong and could someone please point me in the right direction. thanks in advance.
that's what is called a bootloop.
You will need the Odin tool to re-flash your stock firmware.
Just search on this forum section for Odin and bootloop and you will get everything you need : )

Samsung SGH-T999 bricked due to wrong CF-auto-root.tar file

Hello dear,
this is my first post, so please spare my little knowledge,
the problem is i have a T-mobile Samsung S-III SGH-T999 which was working fine, one day it stop booting and stuck on
Samsung galaxy logo. I have to recover my files. so i try to root the same from a thread on xdadeelopers
i end up to a state in odin mode and a triangle saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in
Kies & try again."
i think what i did wrong is that i used a wrong CF-Auto-Root.tar file which was for SGH-T999V-4.4.2
whereas i have SGH-T999 on 4.3 OS.
now i can only go to download mode but when i try to write something with odin it stuck on initialization
kies did not detect any thing but keep on searching the device.
can someone help me!....................
Thanks in anticipation.

Galaxy Note II Download Mode Issue

Good Afternoon, guys!
I have a issue with my Galaxy Note II, i was trying to install original firmware by Odin but unfortunately it didn't work. Odin had error all the time. I tried all of the methods which i found on forum all time my phone was stacked at "Downloading Mode...Do not turn off target". Also i found solution with TWRP and i tried to install TWRP by odin, so it kinda works i had a message that i passed but now for some reason i can't access to download mode at all :crying:
So my question is, how i can access to download mode to make recover?
And anybody know how i can make recovery with bricked phone? i was trying all of the firmware and it didnt work :crying:
Please help, hope you understand what i meant.
