Please help. Hard bricked but made progress using Linux Ubuntu. Locked bootloader. Can get Linux to pick up Sony as either QHS download 9008 or as a Sony Ericsson mobile device but hard to do this. Anyone got good knowledge with these things please help

Issue during Arc Unlock: Where can i find qhsusb_DLOAD driver???
I cant star unlocking process with Omnius software because , after TestPoint and after alos connecting USB cable, the PC stars looking and asking for the QHSUSB_DLOAD driver....I searched and googled it and found nothing...Where can i find that driver?

You must install the fastboot drivers I believe. I cant even remember how I did. Or first install pc companion and that provides the drivers then unlock using omnius.

Thanks XperienceD but the link from that thread is dead, and I didn't want to double post
i wanted to change my software to cyanogenmod 10 night and went through cm recovery mode to install it and forgot to wipe...now the install failed and the phone stucks at Sony icon..i connect to pc but it fails to connect and a red led lights...(battery charges on pc) please anyone knows how to unbrick it ? :/
Hard brick your foot. Know your terminology before posting.
Flash a stock ROM through flashtool after connecting your phone in flashmode. If you dont know how there's 2383624 tutorials out there

Search around the forum, there's plenty of tutorials out there. Also do some research before you do anything to your phone. Don't try it if you cannot understand the instructions.

Then you dont have an unlock bootloader, and you can't install any CM based ROM.
Use the pc companion or whatever software recommended on those tutorials to flash an original firmware form sony and bring "back to life" your phone. I don't know if you need to root your phone again (it disappear)

I use QPST to flash boot for it but no have mpgr and mbn for chip msm8992.

I know on g3 this was considered hard brick had to use wilcrack to reflash bootloader partitions cause the primary gtp is now corrupted for what ever reason g2 and g3 are unbrickable beacause of this i do know u need the tot of the firmware u bricked on have to extract 4 or 5 partitions from said tot. Then flash them to ure phone
Search for g3 hard brick and it can give u a idea just ddont know how compatible it is yet ive done it on g2 and g3 im new to g4

Ok but on willcracket there was 2nd loader.hex file which was only for msm8974 and 8974AC and our g4 is msm8992 and msm8994
So we badly need msm8992.hex file and rawprogram.xml
And as I see there is some mbn files also sbl1.mbn,sbl1 signed.mbn and more
We need those files for msm8992 please can anyone give us those files so we try it

I got the same problem, my device stops during upgrade and bootloader freeze, I can't enter in download mode, e don't clean in a recovery.
Sometimes it's back, but my win7 64 don't recognize him, few a minutes display off and pc recognized like as qhsusb_bulk!

Bro tell me first that what your pc is show:
1) QHS_USB BULK 9006.
2) QHS_USB BULK 9008.
TELL ME THAT WHICH TYPE OF DEVICE IS SHOWB IN YOUR PCS DEVICE MANAGER WHEN YOU CONNECT YOUR PHONE WITH PC.
With help from my brother, we were trying to root the phone. Got so far and didn't have an SD card to continue so then tried to relock and stuffed everything up. Phone won't boot and says device has failed verification and will not work properly.
Getting an XA2 Ultra when they are released but need a working phone in the meantime.
Please tell me this can be fixed!

Downloaded Xperia Companion and repaired the software
There is no thread for this information. Can a real xa1 ultra user tell me how to downgrade this device to nougat rom .( i dont have root ,its on stock oreo ). tried before but device locked itself and its hardbricked .no flashmode etc. a service solved it for around 50$.
WARNING- i found the solution, in flashtool just dont check CUST RESET button cuz its formatting bootloader and hardbricking device. if any "mtk sony" user reading this pls dont forget. cuz only jtag can solve this and its imposible to do it urself

EDIT: After some reading it's maybe better to do it with flashtool as XA1 series are MediaTek devices and then some fsc script is needed to avoid hard brick.
Firmware can be downloaded with XperiaFirm if version you want is available on Sony servers.
Thanks for message but. Did u downgrade ur xa1 ultra before?.Cuz i tried flashtool downgrade before and its bricked device . And that thread looks like upgrade or reflash same version.im thinking this mtk phone different from others for downgrading
No I didn't try but I think only difference with mtk devices is in script that is needed during flash.
Did you try the latest flashtool version? It seems that fsc script is added in latest version.
