Hey all.
For a while now I've been tinkering around with icons and wallpapers and stuff for Android and the G1/Dream, but I've never put it all together to make a theme of my own.. so I thought I'd change that. I'm calling this theme MonoChrome 1.0, and it is currently ADP1 and RC30 compatible.

Wanna try it out? Download links:

RC30: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H7JGM4T1 **Tested and confirmed working**
1) Make sure you have JFv1.31 installed on your ADP1 or rooted RC30 G1 before you try to install this theme.
2) Download file from one of the above links.
3) Rename file to update.zip
4) Transfer file to the root catalog of your SD card.
5) Disconnect ExtUSB cable and shut phone down.
6) Press Home + Power to start the phone up in Recovery Mode/JFv1.31.
7) Once booted into JFv1.31 press Alt + S to install.
8) When install is complete press Home + Back to reboot.
9) Cross your fingers and wait. If all goes well Android ought to be up and running my theme within a minute.
This theme has been tested on two ADP1 phones without any issues, but I am NOT to be held responsible if your phone for some reason gets bricked in the process. Install at your own peril.

Looks great I think. But on the second picture the "dock" looks a little to white to me.

The Market icon, you mean? Yeah, I agree, the droid needs to be a few shades darker. I'll fix that later on tonight, or tomorrow.
Oh and thanks for the input, it's very valuable because you tend to stare yourself blind on your own theme.
No the market icon looks alright. I was talking about that white shade behind the icons at the bottom of the screen. I think it is a little to white. It looks perfect in the top picture but for some reason in the bottom it looks to white. I am not sure why since it is the same picture. You might not need to do anything to it. It just pulls my eyes off the icons into the negative space of the background.

Ah, now I get it. I could try to make the "dock" slightly darker. I'll try that, it's like a two minute job, tops.

How does this look? I decreased the luminance and added a bit more texture instead.
the darker "dock" looks a lot better imo. btw great looking theme. i was never too fond of all the other themes so this might be my first theme i install. also, not sure if you would be willing to or if anyone else agrees, since the theme is dark i think colored icons with the same black background you have now would look awesome.

The darker dock does look better, I'll stick with that one. As for your icon request, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Can you elaborate a bit?

Ah, I see. Well that's pretty nice actually, though bright colors are not for me; I tend to prefer the desaturated look. However, as soon as I release this theme people are free, encouraged even, to modify and improve on it as they see fit.

That's a good question. I am not sure, but I figure I will have to transfer all the custom png's from my ADP1 theme to the correct RC30 apk's. I might do that tomorrow if I feel up to it.

Oh, sweet! I did the port last night when I was so tired I didn't know what I was doing, so it's nice to hear it's working on RC30 too. Thanks for trying it out.
Here's the wallpaper.
My second G1 theme, first to be posted. This one just started because I liked the icons a lot. Just wanted to see how well they look in a theme
Still going through all the tiny little images I have to mess with. Just adding some icons and mostly all of the notifications are complete. Kept the default notification images, but changed the color to match.
Name: SkyTech (will be for RC33 1.42, since I really haven't checked out how to convert for others)

Well, not too long after I posted this, I found SleekDroid theme by crys|s, which is using the same Icon Set (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3425909 ) so I may abandon the project out of courtesy.
I even commented on that theme that I had found the icons as well, but I suppose it slipped my mind when I made this quickly. Damn.

No offense to crys|s, just my personal opinion.. I like where you are going with this theme more then that of SleekDroid theme.. I don't think it is horrible to have the same icon set with a different direction.
Feel free to do whatever you want prash, even if I didn't want you to continue there isn't any REAL action I could take against you to stop you.... unless I decided to do something crazy like, oh I dunno, get your IP and find your personal information and leave you angry messages. I'm not that kind of person though, I'm much nicer.
Haha crys|s, thanks..Coming from theme making on other devices, I just figured not everyone would be too happy seeing stuff they used on other themes, so I was going to discontinue it if you had an issue with it.

Since a lot of people were getting distracted with the EXPLOSION of orange in the original screenshots due to my choice in wallpaper, I added the following screenshot, showing what the theme looks like with any other wallpaper you may have. Still orange but not so much that it scares you from the theme itself.
Still looks decent on different wallpapers.

If you really want to match the orange color on the middle part of the first one, try a hue/saturation filter set to 'colorize' at 20 hue 100 saturation..thats what I used for most of the orange on then initial theme. I tried it, and it gave me some pretty good results.

No wonder the icons are so over saturated, hurts to look at. It's not bad though.
Here's a quick pointer, instead of over saturating the entire image to make just the red parts orange, try selecting the red parts with the polygon selection tool and then using the hue/saturation adjustment.
Yeah, I meant to run the hue/sat on the middle part, I should have been more clear on that, thanks Crys.
Also if you set the mode of the hue/sat layer to multiply or any of the others, it gives you some really cool effects as well.

The red version was never available for download, it was a rough draft that I abandoned when I found out someone else was using the red icons in their theme. I'm not sure if I'll be porting this theme over to newer roms but who knows I tend to play around with icons and themes all the time.

Looks promising! Always wanted a nice clean black skin with white tints. Will try it out!

Installed it.
It contains a custom boot screen.
ANDROID "glowing" in the middle of the screen. Looks good!
Icons look good, white with grey.
Battery turns orange when its almost empty.
Clean black & white phone dailer.
Really like the settings menu without icons!
Does contain extended power menu and 4 lockscreens (android, samsung, puzzle and Epic)
Font has changed too, fits the theme very well imo!
Icons of the following apps have been changed too: Contacts, Market and phone. They are in black and white now.
Gingerbread keyboard is now completely in black except for the letters and symbols.
All in all, great theme! Love the minimal black & white look!
I do miss the clock in the upper right corner..

yep that will be change also...
was just mainly focusing on stability, so i dont need to to 1000 million updates etc lol..
now its just basically ironing out those little bit and making it more tidy etc..
then we see where this goes

I see you have fixed contacts, but my contacts has been green from another theme..any idea how can I fix it? I have already make a wipe...

INSTALL NOTES:
After flashing the theme in order for SystemUI to be themed correctly due to Dynamic Rom Control you need to go into the Rom Control settings and into statusbar mods and change all the background colors to transparent #00000000 and also the toggle color as well! If not then the pulldown will be stock with green and blue.
Red Eclipse is an update to Total Eclipse but I added red throughout the theme. I didn't theme the toggles because you can use Dynamic Rom Control for that. There is a .9 png that is pissin me off that I need to find and fix. I will update the theme soon probably tonight!

You will notice that there are 2 different download links... 1 is for the transparent bg like the theme was usually and the 2nd is for just a all black framework bg. I finished inverting stock file manager...came out really dope! Almost done with video, and working on making the transparent calendar 75% transparent to be able to see it better. Also I am almost finished inverting stock email! But I am gonna make another version of this theme more stock for example stock contact and mms images, and just more of a blacked-out stock theme for those that may not like some stuff in this version. So this version will become the SICK MADE Version. I will try and release A.S.A.P. for I haven't had much time lately and didn't even get to most of the changes that I wanted to make with this release. But there are a lot of important changes and you can just flash on top of the other theme as long as you didn't make any crazy changes!
Expect the next release to have 3 minit battery and also 4 way boot screen. Sorry I just couldn't find the time to add those in this time. But coming real soon!!!

Like I stated in OP I am very aware of the couple spots of the white on white text issue but I am working on that as I type.... I just really wanted to release the theme because I believe the theme is very much usable without any user ability being affected at all! I am also in the middle of making the theme into a VRtheme format so that it will be compatible with most if not all other roms. But like I said right now it's running good on FireKat rom but may work with others. I used stock deodexed apks to build the theme so may work with most stock roms without a bunch of built in mods like Hyperdrive lol. But it will be compatible soon and a little birdie told me that there will be a WICKED ROM here shortly and I am building something special for that release! So I hope you enjoy the theme and just keep in mind I am working on the VRtheme to make it compatible with all other roms but finding the time is kinda hard as of late cause making money comes 1st! I spent weeks making this theme!!! My girlfriend is still mad at me!!! So I hope that everyone out there enjoys!!!
Notes
Once installed I prefer using my themed weather widget with 80% transparent bg
Also in widgets you can replace stock google search widget with my signature SICK MADE search widget which works perfect!
I didn't include my themed Samsung Email Widget because there were a lot of black on black issues that I am fixing.
But all in all the theme came out dope as hell and I will have the other issues ironed out by this week!

It's pretty easy to find there's a group of words under where it says download center than says down load, then you will see a flashing group of words which says "CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD"

Thanks brother... like I stated in OP there are a few minor minor details that I need to address like some white on white text and bg on a couple dialog popups but you can still read the text....it's nothing that interfears with the user ability..... the theme came out dope as helll tho! I will post an update with the minor defects fixed and with the inverted Samsung email apk

OK, so I was one of the users who voted against a black theme, but I must admit, this is definitely sick (no pun intended). Can't wait to see what the graffiti theme looks like. Great job!!!!

I haven't flashed this theme but from the screen shots it looks incredible and even the op, the whole thing just looks amazing. Everything is just so well thought out. Really nice job sick!!

I am open to input, future requests, bugs, etc. I plan to make more themes, you can get an idea of the other stuff I've done on the V20 so far.
Please do not post links to the playstore here as its against XDA rules and in order to remain compliant I have no posted links here to the play store. You can search for me in the play store or visit one of my social media sites. Make sure you get the G6/V30 version as the G5/V20 themes will not work on our phones!

I forgot to make a post in here, but aquifer went live last night!
Sunflower theme is live! Another inverted theme with yellow and brown. Let me know what you guys think, and any requests etc.
T-MOgenta is live! I'd love some feedback on this or my other themes, and I am open to theme requests.

Finally the Purple Nights theme is complete and published, including support for other DPI and screen resolutions in settings (settings > display > screen resolution). This theme has taken awhile to complete, I have been working on it since I got my V30, and I spent a few weeks on it for the v20 (it was never released) before that. The lower resolutions have to be manually resized and repatched, so it will take a while before I can get all my previous themes up to date with the resolution fixes since I basically have to recreate the theme 2 more times at lower sizes.

Great effort on the themes! I like the black and bright color schemes. I don't really like the keyboard however as it looks too skeumorphic for my tastes. However I use gboard so it's not a big deal.

I honestly use Gboard as well, the text correction is terrible on LG keyboard. Theming the keyboard is always the part I am conflicted with. LG makes it more difficult than it needs to be by trying the secondary symbols to the primary letter key, but they add a gray transparent tint to it.
I'm open to ideas if you have any with the keyboard, I'm glad you enjoy the themes!

Yea I made it black, its easier to read the secondary keys now.
The update to Green With Envy is live! Google hasn't updated the screen shots yet in the play store (should be live soon), but these are the new screens. I did fix the DPI issue, so resizing won't change your theme to orange.
