http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=812548
has anyone tested it, report says the SGS only works with the rear camera, but can anyone with 2.2 test it and see if the front camera works.

darn, have to wait for yahoo to fix it then
cant get it working, pressed Video but nothing happening :<
hopefully it will work one day
at least they're working on it
Edit: Got it working with the back camera calling to PC
better than nothing, thats progress at least
aim with vid would be nice
Working on froyo but the app use bak cam ugjhhh
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Use the Options>About Messenger>Report A Problem menu to report this to yahoo if you want it to be fixed.
I was just using this today. Its pretty f'n awesome; Being able to video call to yahoo users really opens up the functionality. Lets hope they add support for the front facing cam soon...
you can always talk in a mirror
it is currently working fine with video chat, it just picks the back camera instead of the front
I tried it at home from my SGS to PC and it worked decently enough
however i tried from my SGS to my friend's iphone4 who is half the world away and it was pretty laggy :<
And the iphone app is still miles better than the android one when it comes to speed. Hope they optimize it soon!
also they released video calling for iphone but it doesnt work on the ipod touch 4 which has 2 cameras.
Has anybody tried voice calling sans the video? How do you rate that? Does it work with earphones? Can you use earphones with video calling and use back camera for that?
You cannot skip the video. Or, at least, I didn't realized how to do that.
I am in London , And i have Galaxy S with Three ....
Some how i cannot Make Video Call .... It Just COmes on a Blank Screen where says Calling and then nothing happens for along time , then i just end call ...

I'm with ya on that one...it just sits there "calling".
Yup with ya. Installed Yahoo messenger and set up a second test account. Try calling from phone or PC and nothing happens on the other. Call is not notified and ends as unanswered.
May be there are only some lucky people who can Make Video Calls Right Now ... Looks like we will have to wait for the Official Yahoo Video Version for Us

I'm running SGS with 2.2 froyo here, and the answer is no it doesn't work with headset, and there is a big feedback between the phone speaker and its mic, you'll keep on hearing echo.
By the way it works when you call the computer with the phone but not vice versa. The voice quality was great, if you are hearing it from the computer but if you are using the phone you will keep on hearing echoes.
It only recognize the back 5mp camera, and even there is a switch camera option, still you couldn't choose the front camera when chatting.
But still this was one great app, at least somehow it is working... hope there will improvements when it comes to compatibility with SGS when the official version comes out.
Sorry for the long title, and I would post this in the HD revolution forum but I'm not allowed?
Regardless:
I switched to Android Revolution HD from Cyanogen about a month ago and this one issue is driving me frigging CRAZY!! Whenever I'm streaming audio through bluetooth either to my headset or my car it cuts out. I figured out today it's directly related to how many applications are running in the background or how much the processor is having to work.
If I'm listening to audio and try to browse the web it starts cutting out on the order of 1-2 times per 10 seconds. It's not continuing to play the song during the chop either, it straight up halts audio playback for about 1/10th of a second. The weird thing is that it does NOT do this when playing audio through the headphone jack. Only when streaming over bluetooth. The chop is very negligent but it sounds like the phone cutting audio for a notification but I don't have any.
I Googled this and found several different resolutions from turning off WiFi to turning the phone's radio completely off, none of which have worked. I've reinstalled the ROM a total of 3 times, the last of which I re-downloaded the file and checked the MD5. I did not have the problem unrooted or with Cyanogen.
Can anyone help and/or move this thread to the correct forum? Again I am not allowed to post under the development forum.
Thanks.
Okay. So today I did a bit of testing. I downloaded the latest version of Revolution HD and flashed to the new ROM. I love Sense 3.0, but this is driving me nuts. I reverted back to both the version of Cyanogen that I had, as well as their newest version. Both Cyanogen version work like they are supposed to, no streaming issues whatsoever.
I decided to try out Synergy, as a friend at work recommended it. I like Synergy so far just like Revolution HD but I'll be damned if it doesn't have the same issue. Audio cuts in and out while streaming any content over bluetooth. Youtube, MP3, doesn't matter. I'm half tempted to try every single sense 3.0 rom until I find one thats stable but it sounds like an isolated issue with my phone...
Just wanted to get this thread back on the front and update with the things I tested today. If anyone can help or has any ideas I haven't tried, then by all means...
Thanks.
I know I'm not the only one experiencing this issue as I see it crop up on almost every Android forum without resolution...
What do I need to do to gain access to the thread where a dev might actually read my post..
Edit: Oh I have to have at least 10 posts. Well hopefully someone will reply to this and give me the opportunity to raise my post count so I can elevate this issue...
I've the same issue running cm7. No music streaming over bluetooth.

While it seems like the same issue CM uses different BT drivers then sense based roms.
The problem here seems to be a ram issue more then the BT issue. As stated when the music starts skipping is when other apps are in use while listening to music. Have you tried a different music player? What player do you use?
I have tried every player on the market. It's any media that's streamed, be it a Youtube video, MP3, or what have you.
Again, the problem instantly corrects itself when I run CM7. I actually thought it might be a CPU issue. I know there is the undervolt script on Revo HD so I tried changing around the CPU frequencies as well as running a non-undervolted version of the ROM to no avail. It really feels like a driver issue.
Is there someway to grab the drivers from CM7 and use those with the Sense ROMs?

No it can't be done. The drivers CM uses are sub par compared to the stock drivers in sense based roms. Not sub par as in being bad but as in swapping less signal strength for a few rarely needed options.
Sense roms are not compatable with the open source drivers.
Now when you say it corrects is self are you testing with the same player on both roms?
Well, yes and no. Youtube videos play fine in CM7 and not in HD Revo. I do however use the default player in CM7 which is different than the players that I have tried with the Sense ROMs.

To be honest I am not sure. I have no problems with my BT connection while listening to music oor watching YouTube but then I don't run my system using heavy apps like GPS. Don't trust a phone GPS at all lol. Burning can play a game and listen to music at the same time. It could be that with sense being a ram hog that it is eating up all your resources and sense CM roms don't have have sense it uses alot less. I run senseless rom built off of the official release and don't have this issue
Bluetooth Range
I am experiencing something similar with my music cutting in and out on my bluetooth wireless headphones... however, the issue is range. They work perfectly when they are in direct line-of-sight and within 5'-0". Once I put the phone in my pocket, the music cuts out. The same goes if I am in direct line-of-sight but farther than 5'-0". I've tried this with several bluetooth wireless headphones and my experience is the same. My assumption would be it's the ROM, but it's a fresh install and I have no other apps running other than the ones the ROM came with. Anyone has any ideas?

I have the same problem. While the phone is in line-of-sight it works well, but as soon as I put it in my pocket the music cuts.
I tried IceColdSandwich 7.2; Android Revolution HD 7.0.3 and CM7.1 with MortPlayer and PowerAmp
The headset is a Jabra HALO2.
I did narrow it down to the software in the ROM Android Revolution HD 7.03 that is affecting the bluetooth transmitter on the phone. Is there a fix in the works for this? It would be a shame to install a totally new ROM for this reason alone since the rest of the ROM is absolutely fantastic!
I think that the problem is not related with the ROM, it's in Bluetooth technology. Distance, surrounding WiFi or other radio waves and of course the strength of transmitter and receiver (as usually they are very small).
I have the same problem with my two different headsets used with my desktop, laptop and mobile. Interruptions are very rare when headsets are close to the device, other conditions like movements and something in between are causing problems.
This is why I think that the problem is not in ROM or phone model, all my devices are having the same issue sadly.

I would partially agree with you on the technology... but... the stock ROM allowed me to do things with my Bluetooth headsets that I could not do with this Android Revolution ROM. Using deductive logic, it is the ROM that is the limiting factor. I used to be able to get 30 foot range with my bluetooth on my phone with the stock ROM, but now all I get is about 3 to 5 feet and it has to be direct line of sight.
Don't get me wrong, Android Revolution is a wonderful piece of coding... it is just too bad it has this fault. If I knew how to code, I would try to fix this issue myself but I have no training and it would take an awfully long time before I was able to make anything useful to be considered a 'fix'. Hopefully someone can figure this out and share it!

It turns out to be the ROM. I've finally gotten around to changing ROMs and bluetooth worked just like the stock ROM that came with the phone. AR has been upgraded to 7.0.4 but I haven't been able to get it working (prior to changing ROMs). Must've been some funny glitch with the ROM software support for the bluetooth device. I now get range of up to 50 feet (tested so far) with no line of sight (through wood framed walls).
So I can't figure out for the life of me which one of these is really the problem. When I play google play music on my chrome cast it plays for a minute or two, then the screen times out, and then it stops. I've tried resetting my router, resetting the phone, resetting the chrome cast, but it seems like nothing works. On my galaxy s3 running cm 10 I had no issues what so ever. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? What suggestions do you have? I know that this is a software issue, I'm just trying to figure out from where and who. Thanks for your help.

It's a Note3 WiFi issue afaik. It's solid on my S3 as well, as long as the WiFi's steady, but my Note3 can only play 5 to 10 songs on avg before dropping out of the playlist. This is probably due to the Note3 incorrectly thinking your WiFi is inconsistent (forgot what the actual dialog warning says). The next TouchWhiz is supposed to fix this along with WiFi calling.
The only way to fix it before the update is to have a WiFi AP in the same room as your TV so there's no question about signal strength.
Software, huh. Yea I figured. I haven't really used touchwiz ever and this is my first experience. Haha well great. What's weird is that my wife's note 3 doesn't have any issues with this? The other night I was successful in streaming multiple songs with the screen off.
Well either way, I really wish Samsung would fix these issues before they release the top of the line phone. Thanks for your input.

I think I just had a major breakthrough!
Tonight I was looking at my wife's Galaxy Note and I wanted to see why hers was working and mine wasn't. So I went through all of her settings on her google play music and it looks like the difference was hers was on stream at normal quality and mine was on stream at high quality.
So I matched it to hers and my phone was playing all tracks flawlessly. I wish I could broadcast this to the community and everyone else has had this problem but I believe that would fix the issue.
My theory is the note 3 already has wifi issues, showing that it has a weak signal. If you stream music at a lower bandwidth it seems like it wouldn't struggle as much. So that's why I think it works. Hope this helps anyone else thats looking at this.

Right, and most audiophiles like you and myself usually do that right out if the box and that's why it doesn't work. I'm OK with listening to a lower quality of music as long as it streams. I don't know about you but it's super frustrating for music to start & stop even if it is
high quality. I'm okay with compromises.

That would be fine if it works, but I tried this and it still doesn't work without stopping. I tried all the wifi settings changes mentioned. It still stops on my Note 3 but not my OG Nexus 7. I think only a software update is truly going to fix this issue permanently.

It's taking forever to get an aosp rom for this phone. Sadly I'm thinking the first one will be a buggy kit Kat rom.
I have noticed since I upgraded from GS3 to Note 3 that when I am streaming music to my car stereo the audio will skip or stutter. The song continues to play but the audio cuts out for anywhere up to a second or two. Has anyone else seen this or resolved it?
I have seen some posts that say turning off WiFi fixed it but I still get the skip, if a little less frequently with WiFi turned off.
It seems to go away if I set the developer options to keep the screen awake while charging. So it seems like the CPU clock may be too low during sleep to maintain everything else it is doing as well as audio streaming.
Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!
This happens to me too sometimes. It seems worse when I first start streaming & then it calms down a bit. But it still occasionally skips. I experienced this on my note 2 as well though, so I don't think its an exclusive issue to the N3.
This is happening 4 or 5 times per song, so it is quite annoying LOL

Stock ROM? Stock Kernel? Need more info from both of you.
Sounds like the CPU might be dropping too low when the screen is off, causing the stuttering. You could try a custom kernel with a higher screen off frequency.

Full stock, I believe that is the problem as it is pretty much resolved when I leave the screen on. Still testing this here and there to be sure.
This has happened to me on every rom & kernel I've tried. Which is pretty much all of them for the N3, and everything from stock to CM on the N2.

I have the same problem on my GN3 international version and yes leaving the screen on WILL solve it. However, that's not a practical solution.
Try this, download Poweramp, go into settings, audio, advanced tweaks, set the audio buffer size to Large (+250ms) and audio thread priority to +2
See if that works for you. If it does, then buy the full version even though I like the timbre effect and bass on the stock music player but this is the only solution, so far.

BTW, what player are y'all using? In power amp there is an option for keep service awake if music.stops while.playing with screen off. And there is also option to use a wake lock also. I am not having any problems nor have I ever so I can't help. The only other suggestion I have is maybe your radio Bluetooth sucks. I went through a period of testing many Bluetooth headset and receivers a couple years ago. Needed something good to listen to my music while I rode my bike. Many of the Bluetooth I tested were very sensitive to the bumps and vibration while riding hard on my mountain bike. The only solution for those were to put receiver right next to my phone. Being in my pocket was too far away or something. I ended up sticking with Sony mw600 as all purpose. It could take any headset, and I was able to use it as a receiver in my truck as it didn't have Bluetooth. Now I also have a Honda civic with built in Bluetooth and all is well. My Sony mw600 oled stopped working though so in on lookout for a nice apt x receiver.

I am using a Sony DSX-S300BTX and have had no previous issues with my HTC Sensation 4G or my Galaxy S3. It only started when I got my Note 3. I use Google Play Music with the All Access service.
Just an update on this. Over the weekend I did a factory reset and this time I did not let it restore settings and apps from my Google account. I went through and installed all the same apps i was using before. And so far I have only noticed 1 stutter/cut out since then. And if I am correct, this only happened when I was leaving my house and it switched from Wifi to 4G LTE on the stream.
Will continue to monitor and see if the issue comes back. But so far I am rather happy.

I came from the Note 2 to the Note 3 and I'm fearing that it's 4.3 that is causing the bluetooth intermittent issue. Whether or not I stream from Pandora or my music player, I get the stutter. Doesn't matter what ROM I use between hyperdrive and beans too. Someone said it could be the adblock that is causing the stutter but I don't have that installed at all. Getting pretty frustrating.
Ended up not working for me,...but keeping the screen on did seem to eliminate the skipping.
Wonder if there's anyway to force Bluetooth not to sleep,....

I ONLY get the stutter when using the stock music player. It never happens when using, for example, TuneIn Radio.
I exchanged 2 Note 3's. The first one had the stutter problem so I returned it. The second one had NO stutter problems but overheated from time to time, exchanged as well. The third one doesn't over heat but, unfortunately, has the stutter problem. So, I just gave up. The PowerAmp solution works for me, though.

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you.
Someone mentioned increasing the minimum CPU frequency and that would solve it. Try upping it to 400Mhz see what happens but this will definitely drain your battery more than usual.

The same thing happened to me on the note 2.... actually the n3 isn't as bad as the n2 was. Fwiw
sent from my ??????? note 3?
SO I have started to notice that it isn't actually the stream stuttering, but a short disconnect of the bluetooth. I noticed that when the music cuts out, it also drops the media connection to my car stereo, in that the artist and song title disappear until the connection comes back. Seems like a bad bluetooth stack or something as I tested a Nexus 5 and do not have this issue at all. And I never had a problem on my GS3.
Hopefully the 4.4.2 update will resolve this issue. Whenever that may be...
I have this problem as well, (stock rom rooted, stock kernel) I use power amp. now however I cant stream my music through bluetooth at all, but when a call comes in, it streams. Doing a little digging into my phone, my N3 seems to think im in a call, and only plays my music through the speaker for your ear. it only started a few hours ago. even when I am not connected to bluetooth, it still plays music through the same speaker. tried uninstall reinstall. I did update apps earlier when I got home (ove wifi). once they were done, that seems to be when this issue started.
any help/suggestions?
I've had some stutter with music playback through my bluetooth speakers. I have 3 and it happens with all of them. I have a subscription to Spotify and noticed it there. I tried Play Music and it stuttered too. I put a few albums on the phone to see if that made a difference but it didn't. It's not bad, just here and there but enough of a problem that I'm not going to put up with it. I did a reset but that didn't help. If it's a bad phone, I'll return it. I would think if others have had a problem I'd see someone commenting on it. Has anyone listened to music via bluetooth and had either an occasional stutter or a smooth experience? I've used the speakers with my Moto X and they've been good so I know they are ok. I appreciate any comments. I love the phone but need my BT tunes.
I've never used Bluetooth and have not had an issue here or there. It happens with every device out there. It comes with the territory of using Bluetooth.

I have to disagree, my xperia z3 was awful for this. So far I have not had any issues with my Pixel XL and I use it for my 1 hour commute twice a day aswell sporadically throughout the evenings/weekend. Could range be an issue for you? or perhaps a crowded 2.4GHz band?
I have the same issue. I just assumed it was the crappy headphones I use. It happened on the 6p I had. Seems it happens mostly when I put my hand on the glass window like I'm causing interference

If you have any xmas lights or similar (we have decorative LEDs) close to your speakers or between your phone and the speakers these can have an affect. I had to move my WiFi hub last Christmas as the Xmas tree was causing havoc!

I have the same issue. Rare but it does exist. This phone or the O/S is noted for B/T issues.
I have SkullCandy headphones and a 2015 Huyndai Veloster Turbo and it happens on both.

Listening to music on BT headphones.
I've got a Huawei watch attached over BT. As long as I don't add a 3rd device playback is fine for me.
If I add a 3rd device, typically either a Mac or PC (e.g. Surface) then every 30 seconds or so there will be a stutter. Even though those devices aren't sending audio, there is enough chatter to cause an issue.
Yep - BT audio skips with my BT headset and 3 different BT speakers. All of these BT devices worked perfectly with previous phones, and I listen to music quite a bit, so it's truly a accurate comparison.
I have contacted Google and they have only suggested the most obvious things - none of which had any affect. Tossing cache, tossing all pairing and re-pairing. Latest was a Factory Data Reset and I just don't have the time for that now. Other Pixel owners report that same BT issues - some with pairing (which I don't have) and skipping/dropping signal.
I've found that 2 of the 3 speakers I have stutter, the ue seems to be OK. My son's Pixel had the same issue so it's not a bad phone. I guess I need to decide if I'm going to put up with it or not.
A cheap chromecast audio would fix this for you
I've noticed similar issue. Bluetooth stuttering. S7 never did it. Pixel xl does. Reboot phone fixes it for a while.
Might be Spotify memory leak. Not tested if Google Play also does it but will test that.
Same issue here with the bluetooth in my car
I have noticed the same problem a couple times, I cannot pin it down. I though it was the speaker, which is a fairly cheap one. I will test it more and see if I can find a pattern?
I just think BT for Android needs to be worked on. Same behavior on Nexus devices.
As someone pointed out a while ago, turning off wifi seems to stop the stutter. That causes you to keep an eye on your data use though. Hoping for a fix.
I will try that but I stream music a lot, that would seem to run up a lot of data.

Yea, that's not a very good solution.
My old headphones were BT4.0. the new ones I just got are 4.1. so far my newer ones dont stutter when I cover the glass. I still get some stutter here and there but i think that's just interference.
I have not experienced any issues with stutter or connectivity when streaming to my Lexus GS and paired to my LG watch - while using GPS/Navigation/Waze. I came from the HTC 10 which had MAJOR issues with this combination.
