Exchange autosync stopping - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I have 5.1 version Android and for some reason when going to mail app it says that autosync is off - even I've turned it on. This is really annoying because there is my corporate email what I have to read :crying:
Data limitation (mobile data) is off and there is a tick at automatic sync at Accounts & sync.
And even if Email is not "push" mode gmail app is syncing... Anybody could help me?

Default Mail app not sending notifications from multiple accounts?

Hey there everyone, just wanted to see if anyone's experienced the same problems as I have.
So I have 2 email accounts with gmail, one personal and one work account. I've enabled both of these accounts in both the mail app and the gmail app, and set notifications to be true for both accounts in each app.
Whenever a new email is sent however, it doesn't seem like the default mail app sends any notifications. Another thing is that even when I go into the app and force a sync, the icon on Home will only show the unread count for only 1 of the accounts.
I am still rather confused as to whether 'Sync Automatically' has to be turned on along with either WIFI/Mobile Internet to be able to receive notifications? Do you need to have 'Sync Automatically' enabled all the time, or would an active WIFI connection suffice?
Thanks in advance!
*Update*
It seems the Gmail App works fine, but not the Mail app regardless of whether only one or both are running... any ideas?

[Q] GMail App does not auto Sync, not push

Hey there
I have a rather annoying issue since I switched to froyo (proper OTA) with my gmail app:
it does not auto-sync, nor tell me instantly when a new mail arrives. Actually, it only tells me, when I manually sync the accounts.
I reckon to have set it up the right way*, rebooted the device, deleted and re-added the accounts, but still no notifications when I receive mails.
Yet, is there maybe any point I missed?
Thanks
*Application's allowed to sync data all the time; allowed to sync automatically; accounts set to sync their mail
Do you have more than one Google account set up on the phone?
If so, this is a known issue

[Q] E-Mail Issues

Anyone having any issues with Yahoo mail or the stock e-mail app on the Galaxy Nexus??
Both the stock app and Yahoo from the market never receive any e-mails? No notifications or anything...I updated the radios to FD02 and still nothing...
am I missing something here?
radios has nothing to do with that. Do you have all of your email settings (incoming/outgoing) setup properly? And have your sync interval set? You also need to have background data/sync turned on and have the box checked for that account to sync.
I'm using 3 GMail accounts (GMail app) and my college Outlook account (EMail app) just fine.
yeah my gmail works fine just not the yahoo...

[Q] Email Does not sync Automatically

hello everyone
I got the ONE X last night, and I am having a problem in automatically receiving my Emails.
I have set An Exchange Email, Gmail, and Yahoo mail using the device's mail app.
the "Auto-Sync" is Deactivated to save battery and avoid syncing other accounts.
in the mail settings of the Exchange Account, I set the "Peak time Sync" to (Push mail) which means (I guess!!) I would get the Email as soon as it reaches the account.
in the Gmail and Ymail, the Least time available on the "Peak time sync" is 5 minutes.
in either case, I am unable to receive the Emails unless I start the app and manually refresh!!!
the Email reaches Ymail or Gmail on the Laptop, I wait for more than 20 minutes with no notification on the device!
I didn't have this problem when I had the Galaxy SII, and sometimes the Exchange Email reached the device before the Laptop!!
this is very annoying and any suggestion is welcome!
I do not wanna go for the Ymail app from the Market or any other Exchange support app!
NOTE: the Gmail application in the Device behaves the same way,, does not sync until I manually refresh from the app itself
If you want to receive pushed data, auto-sync must be on.

When I had the SGSII I never turned the Auto-Sync On, and I used to get the Emails all the time very quickly!
Both are Android I do now know what is the problem!
Does any one have an idea about this issue??
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
as pa64 said, the emails will not sync with auto-sync disabled
turn it on and turn off auto sync manually for each app you don't want it to sync

I will give it a try. But doesn't this affect the battery life? Which is already not good?

possibly. but you can either turn it on and have push email or leave it off and have to manually check.
afaik auto-sync is a system wide switch for all updating. if you manually turn it off for everything other than mail only mail will be polling for updates. and there was some stuff a couple of years ago (with the iphone) that seemed to conclude that push is actually pretty battery efficient.

How can I remove email account from gmail app ?!

Hi guys, I've got 2 accounts and wants to remove one, can you explain me how to remove email account from fu...king gmail app ?!
at Settings -> Accounts & sync -> Personal (POP3) - when click on 3 dot's got only "sync now" option, theres no remove option, at gmail app cannot find remove option as well.. can someone help me ? thanks
You have to do it via accounts in settings. For some strange reason the functionality isn't built into the app itself. Obviously this means everything associated with this account will be deleted, not just email.
Actually you can go under the google account, and turn off just email, thus keeping play store functionality. Select the google account, and turn off Gmail. note this won't delete the mail already on the phone, you'll have to reset the gmail app to do that, but it will stop syncing and downloading of new messages.
