Please somebody help me out with this. I have htc 816w .yesterday i gave option for factory reset from backup and rest menu.. but when restarted it couldn't boot up.. it always came till twrp icon and rebooted. I switched it off then and flashed cm 12 but after that i have started getting screen flickering and screen lagging issue. Its like the previous screen impressions still left but new images come.. on taking snapshot it was showing well so can't include any attachment. Also after that i restored my old backup of stock...but this has the same issue.. it happens only at low brightness or auto brightness. When set brightness more than 50% then no issues. Somebody please help
Reflash the RUU, lock the bootloader and send it in for repairs if under warranty, if not just flash the RUU and pray to whatever you can that the screen lighting didn't go bonkers.

Edit: After 5 month passes I have hope that somebody came across this
problem as well in the meantime. It's quite annyoing not to see the screen
during boot and recovery since I'm flashing roms quite often.
Thank you in advance for any feedback.
Cheers

Edit:
It seems I'm the only one having that kind of problem. :-(
Hi Everybody,
somthing very strange happend to me. I hope you can help me. After I broke
my AMOLED Screen, I replaced it with a new one. (Yes I ensured, that it is
an AMOLED and NOT a SLCD). After reassembling, everything seemed to work
fine. The Desire boots first with green HTC splash screen and then with my
monster boot animation from InsertCOIN. But then, after second reboot the screen remains black.
I could feel the vibration, so the phone seemed to start but no splash screen and no boot animation.
When the boot is finished, I can activate the screen by double pressing the power button.
After that, phone works ok without any flaws. However, when I reboot, same procedure again.
The screen remains black until the boot is finished. OK, phone is working but it is annoying that I can't
go into HBOOT or Recovery mode. Actually I found a work around by using Androidscreencast to go into
recovery and flash roms, but I'd like to do it from the phone direct without casting the screen to my PC.
After some investigation I found an issue with probably wrong display driver, but that's purely related to SLCD Desire.
Anyway I tried to flash the latest RUU and rerooted in order to see if it makes any difference. But no change.
I even tried to replug the display connector to the main PCB in the phone. Nothing helps.
Now I hope the community has an idea.
By the way I had Bootloader 0.75 before reflashing RUU. Now it is 0.93. I'm currently running InsertCOIN 2.0 with A2SD.
Thank you in advance for any useful hint beyond what I tried so far.
Cheers

My phone is T-mibile G2,I can't reinstall the system or restore factory setting. When the system starts up,it will stay in the Boot Animation and vibrator 7 times then stop,I have to remove the battery to reboot. Reinstall Hboot, recovery,RUU didn't work neither, whatever I have done to my phone, the old system is still there, with my application,SMS.....What can I do ?
Hi. I face the same problem. No solution from me unfortunately. My DZ is unrooted, stock 2.3.3 system with Sense 2.1 I think.
Phone crashed, when updating market apps. Powering on displays HTC logo and that's that. Nothing else happening.
I do get working bootloader, but when I select Factory Settings, phone freezes on bootloader screen. If I select Recovery the screen will display the standard recovery icon with the phone, and green cictular arrows over it, then the screen goes blank, and I get the seven vibrations.
What I did try was going into Fastboot, and try to flash shipped RUU, which is the only option with locked bootloader. It froze on the Fastboot screen as soon as the installer on my computer diaplayed "Resetting Bootloader" message (or something similar, don't remember exactly).
My google research gave only one possible solution (except sending the phone to HTC (they repair the issue with no questions asked, apparently). The seven vibrates happend quite a few times with Nexus One. Someone said that depleting the battery helped, another user said that what helped him was charging the phone for 12-24 hours. Well, Can't say that I'm optimistic, but I'll try both, with depleting first, obviously, and get back to you.
Any other ideas?
EDIT: Sent mine for a warranty repair.
Hi
Strange occurrence today. Turned on phone--nothing. Reset battery and it booted fine, but after awhile (when the screen timed out) it went back to black. When I turn it on it goes to dark blue (BSOD?) but nothing else happens, however as soon as I reset the battery, it will boot successfully and as long as the screen is on, the apps seem to work etc. As soon as I lose the screen, I lose the phone again. Volume down followed by power switch brings up the same BSOD.
The lcd is on and the phone is apparently charging regardless.
Can anyone help get me back in business?
Thanks
Are you using a custom rom of any kind, rooted etc. giving details like this helps people answer questions.
My advice is if you are useing a custom rom then backup your apps etc. then redownload the rom and flash it as new then recover your apps.
So i tried to RUU my one x but towards the end of the process up popped up a message saying it was the wrong ROM although it wasnt.
Since then it has stuck on the HTC logo screen although i can get to the hboot screen if the battery charge is very low (to low to flash and ive tried to charge it from here but failed).
My phone is locked but can i get it back to normal, maybe through recovery without unlocking my phone. My version is 3.14.401.31
Why making a new thread, when you said you report back here

Edit : and if you are still not unlocked, rooted ...etc ...etc then take it to a repair center. If the ruu won't take it and a factory reset fails there is nothing we can do !
I recently did a screen & speaker replacement on my oneplus 3.
The device worked for roughly one week with a bit of a touch latency issue. I just assumed the replacement screen was not as good quality as original.
However while downloading an update my screen went black, my battery had sufficient charge i could reboot into recovery but whenever i start up the device the screen would freeze and/ go completely dark immediately or 30 seconds after booting up. The phone does not freeze when in fastboot or recovery mode.
I have tried downgrading my oos version... and also upgrading it to the latest version(currently on latest version) but with each version i encounter the same issue.
The top quarter the screen becomes warm only when the phone boots up and freezes shortly after then.
Phone is is completely stock and has never been rooted/ had bootloader unlocked....
