So i tried to RUU my one x but towards the end of the process up popped up a message saying it was the wrong ROM although it wasnt.
Since then it has stuck on the HTC logo screen although i can get to the hboot screen if the battery charge is very low (to low to flash and ive tried to charge it from here but failed).
My phone is locked but can i get it back to normal, maybe through recovery without unlocking my phone. My version is 3.14.401.31
Why making a new thread, when you said you report back here

:banghead:
Edit : and if you are still not unlocked, rooted ...etc ...etc then take it to a repair center. If the ruu won't take it and a factory reset fails there is nothing we can do !

Hi, I've got a big problem: I've just received my desire back from the shop (the power button was broken, it hs been replaced, but they didn't updated the fw or changed anything else), I've got an original 2.1 fw on the phone, and I wanted to root it (before taking it to the shop it was rooted, then I unrooted it, because I still had warranty on it), so I've runned the unrevoked 3.21.
It started, the phone rebooted, then the program said: flashing recovery, and the phone turned to the white background htc boot screen. It was like tath for 10 minutes, with no changes, than the unrevoked program stoped.
No change on the phone, I've taken off, then put back the battery and restarted the phone, but it was stucked in the boot screen.
I can go into bootloader mode, and I was able to reflash the original fw (RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4 .06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed), wich was successfully flashed on the phone, but there is no change, phone stuck at the boot logo.
What can I do?
.. You didn't have patience enough, should've waited longer.
It's supposed to reboot several times - and takes a little while.
I don't know what you can do, try it again maybe?..

you made a rookie mistake... WHEN YOU PUSH THAT ROOT BUTTON, there is no turning back... you can't abort in mission. I have no idea if you can fix now :/
It hasn't rebooted..
I've run unrevoked several times before, and never had problems.
Now it was stuck for 10minutes at the htc logo for the first time, so there wasn't any "many reboot", and the unrevoked program on my pc just shut down itself after that, without completing the rooting process..
Now I've tried to flash several ofw-s, and I always succsefull, but the phone can't boot, still stuck at the htc logo.
I'm wondering, can I take it back to the htc service and say, that the original fe update bricked it and will they repair it under warranty? (there is no sign of the unrevoked process, because I've changed the ofw like 15times since then)
I would try another RUU first. If you are getting into recovery you should be able to flash an RUU. That would update your hboot etc and as far as I know, should get you back up and running.
If your phone is debranded, remember you need a goldcard. If its unbranded then you should be good to go with just the RUU.
Edit: have you tried booting without Sim and SD card too?
As I said, I tried booting with and without sim and sd card, the result was always the same.
As for the RUU, I've flashed almast 15 of them succsesfully, but the result was always the same: no booting.
My phone is unbranded.
Help,
My desire rebooted earlier today and stayed on the white HTC startup screen. What ever i did, i could not get passed this screen.
I therefore applied the stock RUU update 2.29, however during install a triange appears after the progress bar. On cancelling the update, i have an error stating not all partitions could be updated in particular the Radio.
I have tried the RUU several times, sometimes it does complete the full flash, however during restart, it stays on the white screen,
Has the phone died?
It was a bad to cancel update! For me it seems you got a radio-brick, which is currently unfixable.
You could try to flash 2.3.3 RUU from Fastboot. With any luck, it will boost your phone back to life.
I have managed to get the RUU to fully install, however i still cant get passed the white HTC startup screen.
Its weird that if i repeat the RUU update, sometimes the radio partition will flash, other times it wont, and it then goes into recovery mode. Once in recovery mode the radio will flash, however the phone will still not start up.
does your phone have other hboot than stock? in order to flash original ruu you have to downgrade hboot first. That's what happened to me. If that's the case there's a way but I can't find it right now as I am away from my computer...

Hallo,
i had a rooted desire s-off with CM7 rom on it. a few month now i have the problem the phone runs hot and restarts when i use it to long.
so i wanted to unroot it so i can send it back.
i used the RUUs from this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
i downloaded both TMO_UK RUUs
i pluged the phone and then run the RUU in the middel of the setup it was canceled with the error message [110] Files are missing.
then i got stuck in the black screen HTC logo with /!\ in the corners. so i tryed with the other RUU i downloaded and in the middel of the setup it was canceld to with the same error message. when i then clicked finish at the error window, my phone vibrate 3 times and gone off.
i cant turn it on anymore.
i tryed fast boot (back + power) and boot (vol+ + power) nothing is working.
is my phone garbage now or is there anything i can do???
please help me
edit: i checked the MD5 of the last RUU i used it was fine!
I don't think any desire owner needs to run a ruu other than android 2.3. Avlbl from shipped ROMs.

Trying my hardest to flash my HTC One X back to stock in order to sell it, but am hitting brick walls (pun not intended) all over the place. I tried to install the RUU earlier, but it failed as the version I have is newer than the version it was installing, and with S-On seeminlgy it won't ignore that fact.
After this process failed, the phone has been stuck in a Hboot loop, no matter what i choose it reboots constantly to hboot. The phone is hardy gaining charge even powered by mains, and as such i have been unable to unlock the phone again as yet, is that something i need to do before i can get any further?
My current plan as explained by someone on here is to flash a nandroid backup of my CID at stock, but to do that i need to somehow get the display to turn off and let the phone charge, and hopefully escape this boot loop.
Any help appreciated, as soon as i plug the usb cable in, the phone turns on into hboot with the BRIGHT white background and all the options, so uses quite a lot of power / gets quite hot
Bootloader unlocked, flash this recovery asap !

Enter it and put the phone on charge. Leave it alone, it will charge the battery while the phone sits in the recovery.
If the bootloader is relocked you unlock it by flashing the unlock code.bin file which you got from the HTC dev site the first time (maybe it's still in your email)

I have an htc one as stated above. It is rooted and has s-off but at the time things went wrong I was running my stock rom.
Yesterday when I went to pause my music my screen froze. I tried turning my phone off and when I attemtep to reboot it all I got was the htc white logo screen. It will remain on this screen until I turn the phone off.
I can enter the bootloader but the options don't work (reboot only turns the phone off, factory rest freezes the bootloader) I have tried everything to fix this, from locking the bootloader and using an RUU exe (locking the bootloader failed) to reflashing the recovery (gave me the error "remote image update error).
The thing that I really don't understand is why this happened, I wasn't even doing anything and my phone just crapped out on me.
I need this phone back and I don't know what to do, any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Oh, and the best part is that all of this happened AFTER I already filed a warranty claim for the phones faulty mic. My new device comes tomorrow and if I send them this one back I'll be out 600 bucks.
Is there any way to fix this?

Additionally, everything is still unlocked (bootloader says unlocked, still have s-off) and there is no tamper evidence either.

When you enter your boot loader, what does the following command give you: fastboot devices
If you get your phone in response, you are not out of hope.
