Is There A Way To Debrand The N910V Note 4? - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I read somewhere that you can use safestrap to do this but this is somehting I never heard about. Anyway my primary goal is to have Dutch language support for the N910V (no problem if it's need to be rooted or flashed) and getting 3G or LTE worked in Europe. So if there is a solution without debranding it's also welcome.
Thanks in advance!

If your phone is a Verizon Note 4, then AFAIK it cannot be rooted, so Safestrap is not an option. I suggest you contact Verizon to see if it can support the Dutch language.

regardless of the language issue, 3G should work in Europe, as all verizon phones are carrier unlocked and supports GSM 850/900/1850/1900. Since the VZW Note 4 uses LTE Bands 3 and 7, you theoretically should see LTE in Netherlands with KPN, Vodafone, or T-Mobile

Sprint Touch Pro 2 UNLOCK!!

As its mentioned the sprint version is CDMA/GSM so is it possible to unlock the GSM of sprint version to use with other carriers?
There is a wealth of information on this subject in the Rhodium CDMA Portion of this forum.
It is being worked on, but is not finalized yet.

yes, at PPC Geeks they are working on it. I really want to see it work on the Verizon network. I hate carrying two phones around.
I am sorry it doesn't make senc eto say you want your sprint phone to work on verison both are cdma unlocking won't help you!
I want the sprint to work on other carriers because I live in turkey where the phone is not available yet.. and I currently only use gsm so cdma won't bother me too much for now if only the gsm could be unlocked and used untill the cmda is also unlocked.

You say you live in Turkey? Then a Sprint Touch Pro 2 will most definitely work because by default it's already unlocked to international gsm providers.

Guide to buy Galaxy Nexus

Hi,
I am planning to buy galaxy nexus phone from US and I will be finally using it in India going back. Can someone please suggest me if the phone works with Indian networks properly.
Thanks for your time.
Bhupinder
I assume as long as you buy the GSM version, although I know nothing of the Indian networks.
Assuming you have a GSM network you can get a SIM from in India, it'll work just fine.
Gsm network is there with band 2100mhz, I believe. So essentially it mean that device will support the band without any issuses.
Thanks again.

Thanks before hand. excuse the English is translated from Spanish to English.

come on dude..you got to make it short...
basically I think all you need is to have your N2 unlocked. $28 online in one hour.
unlocked phone and custom ROMs are two different issues; they have nothing to do with each other.
so....want to use your phone on different carriers like Tmobile, ATT, Verizon, Sprint....? have it unlocked
so....want to experience something out of ordinary, something that doesn't come with the phone out of its factory....then give custom ROM a try.
You problem sounds like missing or incorrect APN settings. According to Wikipedia the Claro Honduras network is HSPA 1900 MHz, which the Note 2 should support. Especially if your phone is already capable of placing voice calls and sending/receiving text messages.
voyagerair: make it relevant. Your post isn't. And bypasses the fact that there's a free unlock explained in these very forums.

I think so though I ordered the SM-N920I version.
There is a Web site where you can check if a phone will work on your network.

for the 920i or 920cd versions, do you need to root phone to get an english language rom? I want the option to root but don't necessarily want to root until I know if I am going to use the samsung pay services

You do have to root and install a custom kernal inorder to flash ROMS
But Be aware that if the Rom doesn't support dual Sims then you may lose use of the 2nd sim.
Thanks LouK, but do the international phones not come native in english (i.e. is a custom rom required?)
I hope so. I 'm should be getting the 920i on Friday will let you know. But I'm pretty sure that English is a staple. Some of the other not so popular languages might not.
AT&T cut the 2G service
My Galaxy Note 5 DUOS 2nd SIM suddenly won't work anymore. I heard that AT&T cut the 2G service since 12/31/2016. Is there any solution to continue using 2 SIM cards?

Verizon Note 8 on AT&T - Current Status?

Dear Friends,
Hope everyone is well. As a side effect of having wealth of knowledge, reading through the forums here I believe the answer to my question is still, "yes" however, I would still like to confirm and make sure:
If I buy a Verizon Note 8 today, whether it's from Ebay, Swappa, Craigslist and etc and whether the user did or did NOT update to the latest Bootloader version and firmware version (Oreo)... Is it still possible to use some combination of firmware, Bootloader, CSC and etc to convert the Verizon Note to an AT&T Note or the unbranded US Note 8 and still have unrestricted, full functionality on AT&T?
If, yes, indeed, can you please point me to the right guide and files so that I can go through my purchase?
Appreciate your help in advance!
Any input, friends? Trying to buy a Note 8 based on your expert opinions ?... Thanks!
I converted my VZW note 8 to AT&T and used it flawlessly for a few months. This was before Oreo was released. I've since switched it back to VZW.
While on AT&T, volte & wifi calling worked as well.

It is always best to get the carrier brand you intend to be on....
But if you can't pass on a deal, yes you can follow switching carrier guide to turn a Verizon Note into an ATT Note....
On the one hand if you need to move between carriers or around the world, it be better to get the Verizon phone even for the AT&T network because it gives you CDMA + Quad-Band GSM. If you are going to stick with one carrier, if you get a newer phone, it will probably support 100% of their current and soon-to-be bands while the Verizon might only support 90%. That might make a difference in aggregation. Depending on the company, they might not allow you to use aggregation or VOLTE or Wi-Fi calling without their branded phone, although ajent above has had luck with at least 2 out of 3 of those by using a Verizon phone on an AT&T network.
