Hi Guys,
Any help would be great! i do have google talk if anyone is willing to help me out!
My R800i Is rooted and has a version of recovery but not sure which version, i am wanting to update my phone with a better kernel and rom since the current one i have installed is giving me issues ( not being able to receive incoming calls for example )
Another problem is i reformatted the phone since i was having issues with receiving calls but now when i connect my phone to ANY computer via the USB cable the computer trys to install MTP or MSC driver ( depends on which connection type i select ) the Installer fails and i cant even take any files off my phone.
Provided details below. i want to somehow get into the current bootloader and install the ROM thats on my SD card! i do have flashtool installed and Android tool SDK installed but still no success in phone wanting to talk to my laptop.
I am running windows 7 64 bit. i am starting to think the phone is belond repair since i cant get any software to work between the phone and computer.
does anyone know what buttons i need to push on the Xperia Play to enter into the boot loader, i have tried pressing the back button and search button on phone boot but nothing happens apart from the phone starts up normally.
would a factory reset delete the boot loader and other config-ed software off the phone is this why i cant enter the boot loader or am i not pressing the right buttons on boot.
Any help would be really appreciated!

If you want to change the kernel you must unlock your bootloader. If your Xperia Play is a SIM free one, you can do it for free in this link: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com
For SIM locked devices I think you must find another ways to do it. There are some online sites that unlock bootloader to SIM locked devices for a fee.
Once you have unlocked your bootloader, turn off the phone, hold on the search button, plug the USB cable in the computer, release the search button (power button LED will be blue) and install this driver: http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Google-USB-Driver-Revision4-Download-139077.html
Now you are ready to flash any kernel you want with Flashtool or any other app.
Thanks for the information, i have already done this, i payed £25 for a guy on this forum to unlock my phone to any network. i'll give this a try and get back to you, problem is the phone doesn't like to talk to my laptop via USB cable keeps on failing to install the drivers..
Thanks for quick response.

I have tried what you said but having problems with connecting my phone to my Windows 7 Laptop!
Check your device manager. The fastest way to open it is running this command: devmgmt.msc
There must be some kind of Android device while your phone is connected in fastboot mode. If you see it, update its driver with the Google USB driver v4 pointing at the folder path with the uncompressed files.

Hi I tried what you said, i Turned off my phone and holded the search button and turned it back on, the light went blue and the computer popped up trying to install fast boot i point to the SDK folder to update the driver but it fails.
do you have google talk might be easier on there to talk! cheers!
I'm not using gtalk atm. Sorry.
Be sure the driver you downloaded is named usb_driver_rev4.zip: http://drivers.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=139077&t=4&i=1
If Windows doesn't detects any driver in that uncompressed folder, you can choose to select the device from a list, point to that folder and force to install the driver. It's named something like Android ADB Interface.

Thanks for the download link, i going to try this in a bit and get back to you! thanks for the support guys! :good:
Just tried, i put my phone into Media Transfer Mode.. my computer tried to install the MTP usb device and i directed the installation to the driver you linked..
Update Driver Software says: the best driver software for your device is already installed MTP USB DEVICE, there is a small yellow triangle on the icon and in MTP USB Device Properties it says: This device cannot start. (Code 10)
i need someone to Teamviewer with me, for the record i don't have the Sony Ericsson software installed on my Computer because that still wont install the drivers for my phone, i also know its not needed for installing new kernel and roms.
i tried connecting this phone to a bunch of pcs including my friends and it still fails to install any drivers!!! i think i am just going to bin this phone! i have had enough (
You must install that driver when you plug the phone in fastboot mode. It shouldn't work in any other case. In other words, when you plug your Xperia Play being powered on and Android is running it needs one driver, and when you boot it in fastboot mode you need other driver.
Please, install the driver following the steps previously posted with your phone in fastboot mode (blue LED).
Hello, i put my phone into fastboot mode, my device manager shows 1 device not installed S1Boot Fastboot, i right click go to properties and click update driver...
then i browse my computer for driver software i point the location to usb_driver_rev4\usb_driver and it says: Windows was unable to install your s1Boot fastboot!
Ok, let's see...
Try to update the driver using the "choose from a list" option to force the installation, point to the driver folder and select "Android ADB Interface" from the list. If Windows shows a warning message don't worry about it and go ahead.
i tryed this and its not wanting to work (
Sorry to hear that because I don't have any more ideas for your problem.
Maybe you may spend some minutes searching in the forum to find some detail that can help you.
i need someone with teamviewer to help me go though the setup process again, if anyone is willing to get my phone working i will happy pay them some money!
Thanks Jcarbox for all your support!
Regards
Paul
I just check the Windows device manager with my phone plugged in bootloader mode and it appears as Android Bootloader Interface, so this is the device you must choose from the list when you install the driver.
Hope this helps you.
thanks for the help, to bad my phone isnt having any of it.. just going to buy another phone (
This may work

hi PsychoShaft,
I had similar problems. I don't know how to fix it permanently. but i do this to make it work for some time.First, download flashtool and install it.Open your device manager and select view->show hidden drivers. Then, delete all your drivers related to xperia play. like the adb interface, semc flash ,etc. All of them in all categories. then reboot your computer into safe mode with administrator and connect your device with flashtool running in your windows in safe mode. then the flashtool will indicate that you don't have the drivers. then, open the drivers folder in flashtool and use the setup to install arc-play-...,flashmode drivers and fastboot mode drivers.then after the installation is over windows will ask you to reboot.now reboot with your mobile connected. after boot windows will automatically install the drivers. then unplug your phone and turn off it and connect in flash/fastboot mode.it will automatically install drivers.wait for windows to say drivers installed successfully or installation failed. don't unplug it in the middle of the process then you will have to start from first.sometimes it will not work in the first time ,then reboot into safe mode and try again installing the drivers and rebooting into safe mode itself and connecting your device.at one point of time flashtool will say your device is connected in flas/fastboot mode.then continue with flashing
Gladwin.
Thanks for the support guys i managed to solve the issue!

MICROMAX A87 [DRIVER NEW SOLUTION/ DEVICE NOT DETECTED AND RECOGNIZED SOLVED]
HI axai here...
i bought this fone ninja 4.0 that came with a ULTRA VIBRANT 4 inch
WVGA 480x800 display that is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the display of optimus black which claims to
"outshine the sun"
many people are facing the problem of "device not found" or "Device not recognized" while tring use their a87 with pc using techniques of sdk given on the web...
But this solution is a bit different and SURELY 100% working on windows 7
Be patient and follow... you will get it working..
many dont know but yeah...A87 has its driver "INSIDE THE PHONE" no need to install or download any crap A87.zip files!!!
steps are just a bit similar but not totally same.... so please follow carefully
steps are as follows:
[do not download any A87.zip]
1. Download jdk 32bit , Android sdk , Unlock root , adb_usb.ini ......(google it ul fine or just see old posts of rooting for links)
To create adb_usb.ini:
open notepad
paste the following lines-
# ANDROID 3RD PARTY USB VENDOR ID LIST -- DO NOT EDIT.
# USE 'android update adb' TO GENERATE.
# 1 USB VENDOR ID PER LINE.
0x1c9e
and save it as type "all files" and file name "adb_usb.ini"
2. Install jdk
3. install Android sdk, after installing open sdk manager form star and select "android sdk platform-tools" and "google usb driver" unselect the rest, click install packages. After installing put the adb_usb.ini file in "C:\Users\(your PC name)\.android"
4.now uninstall the sdk only!! from add or remove programs.
5. go to "C:\Users\(your PC name)\.android" and delete all files EXCEPT 2 flders AVD and cache and the file adb_usb.ini and restart your computer.[NOTE :if you dont do this next steps wont work]
5.REMEMBER!! Switch off your internet first!!..and Now choose a rear usb port of your cpu.. for laptop any port will do. and connect the phone. you should see " installing drivers" as shown in "image1" in attachments below.
6. when youclick on the installing drivers message in task bar you can see this box pops up...if successful...the final results of the dialog will look as in the "image2" in attachments below.
7. Now in your fone u should be able to see a USB icon in status ..when you expand the status bar you will see onli "usb mass storage" option and NO debugging option.
go to ur phone settings-> applications->development and enable debugging.
8. on your computer screen you will get a dialog box saying "Common_Handset_USB_Driver" and itl look as shown in "image3" in attachments below.
9. Install that and when it says finish..see your fone screen you will get the debugging option..
CONGRATS ..this is a 101% working solution and works on XP too but windows 7 is recommended..
REMEMBER U WILL NEED TO USE THE SAME PORT EVERYTIME...if u change the poert you will have to repeat above process UNFORTUNATELY yeah.... but hey its working too.
Then proceed to root ..
you can follow this post too... to turn your a87 to a HD gaming device...

Yes there is.
.android folder is located in:
C:/Users:/Ivana(your user name)/.android
yes it is automatically created after installing adb and sdk sorry for your inconviniece
Easiest Method
just dounload Kingo Android root, install it and enable usb debugging and click root or root again
Thanks
I make the solution here is my thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49108435
but once again i repeat it.
i successfully tested on my lava ivory tab this method so dont worry
1] download pd-net driver and install it. choose 'other' 4th option during installing
here the link: pdanet.co/a/
2]connect tablet make sure usb debugging is on
3]download vroot (use latest version preferred 1.7.4 version) .
download latest version from here:products.mgyun.com/api/downjump?id=133
install it and open
it recognized tab click on root after complete process tablet going automatically reboot
then check superuser in tablet or verify using root checker
4] superuser is in chinese so replace it
here is the method:
this method i found on w0lfdroid
i] download android terminal emulator from google store
and
ii] download replace_vroot_with_superSU zip file View attachment Replace_VRoot_With_SuperSU.zip
zip file extract on internal storage in flolder
give the folder name mrw
then open terminal emulator and type : su
then type on next line : sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
then tab going reboot
after rebooting you will find chinese superuser replace by superSU
* problem with tablet recognized then try also install adb driver
if any problem
leave comment
**I make this solution onther forum copy it
So make sure really any problem tell me
Thank you

For the lava products there is no official drivers available, so for the recognising tablet pd-driver and adb driver must installed on PC.
Are you install this drivers before rooting process?
Is this method available for Lava Ivory S ?
Can u give me twrp recovery IMG for lava ivory m4 please
Anyone still having lava e tab ivory
Hi, does anyone still have the lava e tab ivory with them? I have some of my imp data in mine and I'd need some help.
Greetings every one ..
I have a half dead Oneplus 3 Unlocked + Rooted
here is my problem
there is no OS in it and i flash TWRP many times via ADB and wont boot to it
and i tried to flash the stock recovery V2.0 and done successfully
the sideload mode Recognize my OP3 but when i try to flash the Oxygen Rom it Gives me cannot read
also i tried the Unbrick Tool when the device is connect it showing me Qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008
but when i power up the tool as administrator it showing me (no device)
see here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIbagVAXJJk
Thanks .
on the unbrick guide try method 2 but completley power off the device and count to 10 when holding the vol up button THEN plug the device in. i had that issue also. if you get errors or for some reason it dosnt show up again try on a diffrent pc it will work
Try method 2. BTW "cannot read" error has to do with faulty ADB drivers, get the platform ones
I did instal the right ADB drivers in fact
still no luck
The ones from platform tools? Since that "cannot read" error has nothing to do with your device. Have you tried renaming it? Rebooting your PC? Last one did wonders for me for some stupid reason.
Hi,
I also had this message of "can not read" in sideload mode, this problem often happens with Windows 10, so I used Windows 7 on another pc and it was OK.
I tried Windows 10 & 8.1 & 7 & XP
still The same problem
What if you flash Twrp and boot into it? Then u can adb push the filemm
I tried via fastboot and its done right
but when i reboot into the new TWRP recovery its stuck in the boot oneplus as same like the Video shown up
book an appointment with oneplus live chat so a service tec can fix it and if they ask if it was rooted say no
Hi,
If you access TWRP, install the Official Oneplus Recovery 4.0.2
In TWRP click "intaller" then choose "install image" and select the file you will have to copy to the phone in recovery mode.
Then restart in recovery mode, choose english, then "adb sideload mode"
From there you should be able to flash your phone with an official Nougat zip.
Do the under windows 7.
It is necessary to install the Oneplus USB drivers and ADB tool on your PC before any manipulation.
Finally I solved the problem
like i said B4 my phone wont boot into TWRP by any chance
i traid all the Officials TWRP one and they stuck on the boot image or power the phone off
i flashed a modified twrp (blu_spark 3.0.3-x) thanks for this beautiful smart man eng.stk if im not wrong
and thank you all for the help
i had similar issue...with several phones.. download Malwarebytes trial version and run it...i had a few stealth root tool kit viruses.causing my system to have a hiccup....
Hello guys, i have a mi mix 2. I want to install twrp and custom rom. When i put the device in fastboot mode, it isnt detected and i receive in device manager a yellow exlamation park (no driver found for device). Can you help me please?
I found some drivers on some sites but most of them are scams.
