Check if phone is charging when connected and also check the usb port, cable
try this one
switch off tk file explorer :
1) open keypad
2) type *#197328640#
3) open "[6] Common" by pressing on 6 on the displayed keypad.
4) open "[3] USB Configuration" by pressing 3.
5) NOW WAIT , and check for the star mark in front of the two options.
If its next to OFF then you dont need to do anything else, just close everything.
If its next to on then press 2 to turn it off.
It will show this after pressing 2 >>---> " [1]TkFilexplorer - ON [] "
Now close everything and you are done !
pls also try very very carefully
if you dont understand completely - you shoudnt do it
go to control panel - hardware and sound - device manager
expand the view of the usb - universal serial bus
make sure that that you have the drivers to your usb devices
delete all the usb from there
disconnect all usb devices

Help us help you, Please answer the questions below:
1. What OS are you using? Ex. Windows XP/Vista/7/8 or Mac OSX?
2. Do you get any error when installing the driver?
3. Do you get an error when you connect the device?
4. We're you able to sync or get your phone detected by KIES?
Thanks,
Carl

you only need to do this exactly
1. first install skies or samsung drivers and odin.
2. open odin (1.85 or 1.84)
3. make sure your phone is open not in download mode. then connect usb cable to your computer with odin window open and connect galaxy y then this time turn off your fone and press "home button+power+volume down" and it detects your phone..and done!thats it.

Please do check the following:1. USB Ports
Try a different port. [Applies to PREVIOUSLY DETECTED PHONE and/or NEW PHONE CONNECTED FOR THE FIRST TIME]
If you are using a desktop computer, try the USB ports at the back of your computer.
If you are using a notebook computer, make sure the power plan you're using is not in Balanced or Power Saver. Try using High Performance when trying to flash and make sure USB Selective Suspend is disabled.2. USB Filter Driver [Applies to Windows Vista/7 Machines though later version of XP Supports USB Filter Driver]A Filter Driveris a Microsoft Windows driver that adds value to peripheral devices or supports a specialized device in the personal computer. It is a driver/program/module that is inserted into the existing driver stack to perform some specific function.
Written either by Microsoft or the vendor of the hardware, any number of filter drivers can be added to Windows. Upper level filter drivers sit above the primary driver for the device (the function driver), while lower level filter drivers sit below the function driver and above the bus driver.Try deleting theUSB "Upper Filter" & "Lower Filter" Entry in registry editor and check if it fixes the problem.
Delete the USB Upper and Lower Filter in the Registry by following the steps by following the steps below:
Before we go any further, please first backup the Registry.
Important: This method contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry
incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can
restore the registry if a problem occurs.
For more information about how to back up and restore the registry in Windows:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Back-up-the-registry
1. Click “Start”, type “REGEDIT” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press Enter.
Note: If UAC (User Account Control) pops up, please accept it.
2. Right click “Computer” (the root node) in the left pane, click “Export” under the “File” menu, choose “All” under “Export range”, and select “Desktop”
in the “Save” in box and type backup in “File Name”. Click “Save”.
Note: The backup file is on the Desktop and named backup.reg. We can simply restore the registry by double-clicking the backup.reg file.
3. Click “Start”, type “REGEDIT” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press Enter again.
4. Locate the “UpperFilters” value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
5. On the “Edit” menu, click “Delete”, and then click “OK”.
6. Locate the “LowerFilters” value under the same key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
7. On the “Edit” menu, click “Delete”, and then click “OK”.
8. Quit Registry Editor and restart the computer.
Make sure you follow the steps correctly.3. Samsung drivers[Applies to PREVIOUSLY DETECTED PHONE and/or NEW PHONE CONNECTED FOR THE FIRST TIME]
Reinstall Samsung drivers to make sure driver files are intact. Believe it or not, a simple update or program installation can mess up drivers on your computer.
Before you re-install the driver, please take note of the following:
Your phone should be disconnected and/or any USB device (USB Flash drives, cameras, ipod etc etc)
Close any program that communicates with you phone -KIES, Odin etc etc.
If you're using for more than an hour or have opened several programs, please turn of your computer and the turn it back on, a warm boot (restart) is not the best way to "refresh" your computer before you install drivers, It should be a cold boot (shutdown-power up)
If you've taken my notes in consideration, please by all means re-install the drivers 4. Try a different version of Odin that supports Galaxy Young.
Make sure the Odin version you're using supports Galaxy Young. Some Odin versions support specific samsung phones ONLY5. Restore your computer to a state where your phone can be detected.[Applies to PREVIOUSLY DETECTED PHONE ONLY]
This option applies if all else fail and do me a favor, don't call your computer's support team, they will make you do a bunch of troubleshooting steps and in the end, a simple restore would take care of it.ANOTHER NOTE:
Pressing the POWER BUTTON without having both HOME BUTTON and VOLUME UP KEY pressed will not get you anywhere. Either your press HOME BUTTON first then the VOLUME UP KEY before you press the power button or you make yourself believe that your phone won't go into download mode/Odin mode. That being true, previous comment that says: "home button+power+volume down" I believe is a typo. Good luck to y'all who have this kind problem.

Problems with ZYNC Z930
Hi,
I got new ZYNC Z930 Tablet with Android 4.0 ICS installed. When I connect the tablet to my laptop with Windows 7 64 bit OS, the Windows recognizes as Composite Device and fails to install the drivers. I also tried manually downloading the drivers from the location that you have specified and manually point to install from the downloaded location but does not help.
I have connected the Tablet to Laptop with USB cable provided with Z930 Box. Do I need to connect using USB 2.0 cable for both ends???
Please help here...
Thanks in advance
Lokesh
Hi Lokesh, Please dont use 64 bit Win 7, use any computer with 32 bit Windows and drivers I supplied will work fine. You just need to connect the mini usb cable. Rest of the process please follow exactly as on the post.

Your steps helped a lot and later I contacted the ZYNC Customer Care located in Noida, even they also provided the same bundled the package.
I'm successfully able to upgrade to Jelly Bean 4.1.1 but after upgrading my tablet's WiFi stopped working I mean, when I switch in the Wifi, it keeps on searching for the Wifi Networks indefinitely. Did you face this problem?? Any solutions for this ???
Next, I'm going to try out your steps for Rotting the Z930.
Thanks
Lokesh,,,

Hi Adbul,
The Wifi issue got resolved after flashing the Jelly Bean binary on to Z930.
Did you try removing the default applications with the ROM?
Are you able to successfully Root the Device and FLASH any other custom ROMs on Z930??
If so,,, can you please share the steps / softwares used / links???
Also, Btw, what's the battery backup you are getting with Z930???
Thanks in advance

Hi...
Nothing much complicated, I just flashed the Jelly Bean Image using th steps given by the ZYNC and then, switched on the Wifi. By default, the Wifi will block the poorer networks, if you go to Advanced Options of Wifi and remove that, it will work fine.
Thanks

Thanks Lokesh, this tip has helped me in WiFi issue. I noticed an issue with the battery. Either the charging is not effective or the battery is not good - The battery level drops to minimum with in an hour of using just Acrobat PDF Reader (with no WiFi / music / graphics etc).
Also the moment we connect the charger the level shoots up by 10-20% more in 1 second and if we remove the charger the level drops which is funny.
Did you faced any issues with the Battery? I installed 'Juice Defender' now and needs to see if I get any improvement.
Thanks

Hi, abdul
as per your guide, i had downloaded adb driver.
I'm using 32-bit windows 7.
But when i connect through usb, using usb debugging on, the computer says Windows failed to install drivers.
So, manualy if i go to device manager and select z930 and go to update driver, and then point to the folder adb_driver.
It says windows found the driver, but was unable to install them.
So, can you tell me, how were you able to install the driver?
Do i need to install android sdk?

2) Upgrade without format data and cache area.
3) Only format data and cache area.

How to make this working again???
The PC connection mode on your phone is set to "Charge only". Idk about the stock ROM, but on CyanogenMod you just press the notification that shows up when you connect the phone to change the mode

Dear wasiq224,
Thanks for your answer, but is not working. I'm on CyanogenMod - but there is no notification shown up. Phone is quite and also PC - no message.
Even if I press under "STORAGE" -> "USB computer connection" the phone is saying: "USB is now disconnected". I checked already various menues for some settings without result. Google was also not help in this matter.

Try going to Developer Options>Disable USB Debugging, then reboot. Then connect your phone and try going to USB computer connection again, and enable whatever connection mode you want. You can re-enable USB debugging after that.
Dear wasip224
Checked once more the debugging setting's. But if the phone is connected to the computer or not connected, disableing USB Debugging is not possible. This item is greyed out all the time. See attached pictures.

I'm at work now, but you use Explorer and go to the folder where you extracted the drivers and use right-click --> properties in one of the files there. There is a tab that lists certificates. Just to be sure you can temporally disable driver signing verification.
http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
This instructions works in windows 8.1 and 10.

Doesn't work for me, it says it cannot find the files. In my win10 install i have two problems, ADB only works if i disable driver signing verification and MTP doesn't work. I tried running sfc /scannow and it says WinUSB is corrupt and cannot be repaired (probably why MTP does not work). I tried using intel drivers for both and it does not work. Only ASUS works (but fails because of certificate) for ADB Composite Device, but mtp doesn't work anyway.
This tutorial could help you anyway.

Hi Kras and thank for the response!
I Tried it too but in my device manager it wont show any device related to asus nor adb.
Tryied to boot into TWRP but no MTP either.
I Tried USDBview but doesnt show. The strange fact is that the phone charges normally.
It happened after i switched to CHARGE ONLY... after that, could never go back "/
I think i´ll try to revert EVERYTHING to stock. Somethings not right.
Another information, the cellphone charges, i´ve tryied to unistall and reinstall every adb usb_driver but in driver manager, nothing appears, even an exclamation. Tried to force install drivers, nothing either. All this happened after set CHARGE MODE i´m so pissed off and frustrated
This is a shot in the dark, but in device manager you can click View>Show hidden devices.
From there you can truly uninstall all drivers, and then reboot and try reinstalling. Maybe this will help.
Also, different ports, different cables?
If it's just for file transfers have you also tried something like AirDroid or Dropbox/Google Drive/Mega?
After upgrading to Android Q suddenly my pc can't recognize my pixel as a android device also i can't connect any wired things such as dongle jack or USB Transfer (USB charging options disappeared).
Planning to downgrade to Pie but the problem is my device can't be detected on my pc. Any solutions? Thanks
If you're using a Microsoft Windows machine, I would suggest uninstalling any "Android" drivers from the Device Manager. Then restart the PC, then turn off "USB debugging" and back on for the Pixel, and even "Revoke authorizations" in hopes that it will re-alert & request another authorization and, therefore, verify it being connected and detected on the PC....
After all that -- or if you can only enter in Bootloader Mode -- type the command "fastboot devices" and say here what it outputs. If anything, while in Bootloader Mode, do what I previously said, but look for anything "Android" and "Bootloader" and uninstall those device drivers...
Good luck and hope this helps!

what about the other things I suggested?
Or, so it can be clearer, are you in the System/OS when plugging/reconnecting or in Bootloader Mode?
I ran across the same issue..I followed this video to get rid of the old USB drivers and updated to the new Android driver.. Now my window 10 recognize my pixel 2xl storage completely.
https://youtu.be/Zc_dhxc8iJU
I have this issue before, and after all i got my phone detected. But when i flash it, it say unbootable slot in fastboot screen. After couple onf time, it cant be flashed again and die.... My phone cant turn on in fastboot mode again, it bricked
I had to use the USB dongle to connect a flashdrive to my phone, wait for it to recognize the drive, then unplug the drive and dongle... Then connect phone to PC... Profit!
If anyone is still having the issue of PC not recognizing device in fastboot, please be sure you have UNinstalled the older version(s) of SDK Tools from yhour PC and make sure to INSTALL the latest versions.
You can find the latest version linked in the 9x guide in my signature.
Also, make sure you have both older and newer USB cables handy. The Pixel has a nasty reputation for being finicky with USB cables, try diff cables and different USB ports on your PC.
There is also a basic troubleshooting guide in the same link in my sig.
Best regards!

So…without you being too definitive…it seems that you’re able to get into your OS…
What I’d like you to do is uninstall and remove Google usb drivers on your computer. Then, download it again HERE: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/latest_usb_driver_windows.zip . And, in case things don’t work out this time around, if you can please save the (.zip) file on your Desktop or root folder (usually the C: drive). I might have you direct the device detected to the files in this .zip directly.
Then, after installing the USB drivers, I’d like you to uninstall and remove any/all things that are named “platform-tools” (so there will only be ONE "platform-tools" after you re-download it in this step) on the whole device. After, I’d like you to download the latest Windows version HERE: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools . Again, to simplify things, if you can extract it either in your Desktop or root folder (C: drive).
Again, like I mentioned before, I would like for your device to request authorization for your computer again, so if you can please go to the Developers option, and select “Revoke USB debugging authorizations” as well as double-checking you have "USB debugging" enabled…
Only THEN, once these two things are extracted and installed (as is the case in the first step) and you revoked the authorizations, can you plug in your device and USB cord. Watch your phone/device, as it will ask for authorization to connect to your computer, and you’ll have to make sure the box is checked that says “don’t ask this every time” or “remember this device” – I can’t recall off-hand – and then make sure to “Allow” it. By doing this, you can be sure that your computer and device are talking correctly.
*One suggestion that isn’t mandatory is that you select where it says “USB charging” and change it to “MTP” or “file-sharing” (sorry, again, I can’t recall specifically off the top of my head…)
If all things are working well, if you can open up a command prompt (a.k.a. “cmd”, and also make sure you are running it “As an administrator”) and direct it to the platform-tools directory (hopefully you followed my suggestion and kept it simple so it will either be at the root “C:\” or on your Desktop “C:\Users\[username]\Desktop” so it won't be too difficult directing it there...), and run the commands
Code:
adb devices
and
Code:
fastboot --version
.
Hopefully, if you do all of these things, it might get things reset and working from a stable established set up.
If it somewhat works, but the device in your "Device Manager" is showing up something "funky", then it'll take a rather nuanced Windows troubleshooting technique to resolve where I would have you correct the wrong entry/driver in the "Device Manager" and have it specifically point to one of the contents of the .zip files; shown prior.... We'll tackle that if need be and if all this initial beginning troubleshooting doesn't pan out...
Let me/us know how it works out, good luck, and hope this all ends up being helpful…

thanks for ur explanation, and i'm sure i already did this 100% as you mentioned before. looking for solution and i found this at pixel community thread : https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/14477635?hl=en
and btw when i try to disable and back to enable (again) USB debugging, there's no pop up or something like that, just nothing appear. so i just realized why i got error code : 10 is just because my phone still not detected by PC also i tried in other computer (with windows 8.1 installed) my device is got detected but as "device descriptor request failed" not as an android device. Hopefully next update google will fix this "bug". Once again thank you very much

Yeah...I figured as much...I was just making sure to lay down the "ground work" before proceeding...
If you're still willing....what I had planned next was to walk you through manually updating/"editing" the driver (on the PC) to directly look at the Google usb drivers specifically to try and get around the whole "device descriptor" and other (detection) error codes.......
Might want to try uninstall the SDK toolkit, reboot PC, then install the latest SDK toolskit.
Also having both USB 2.0 and 3.0 cables saved me more than once, and is a known thing on the 2XL.
