I've been a lurker in this forum for quite some time and have only had the opportunity to learn and gather info and not contibute..thanks for everything to all the brilliant people who post valuable things here...This is my first post here and hopefully it may help someone...I'm posting this review at as many places as I can find...You can get a Jawbone 2 from MRB Depot for $69.99 with free shipping....how can that possibly go wrong..
I haven't even received my Jawbone 2 yet and I'm COMPLETELY fed up. I made a mistake, when ordering I typed the previous street name, old habits die hard what can I say. That was without question my fault...now allow this to begin...
MRBDepot does in fact state that the Jawbone 2 is a recertified product...I've copied this documentation directly from their site and pasted it without modification. You'd have to be an idiot to miss that huh? How can anyone miss that?
"Conventional "noise eliminating" headsets do not have the VAS and can only estimate when speech is occurring with software-based Voice Activation Detection (VAD) systems. For these systems to work, the speech must be significantly louder or spectrally different from the noise. These systems fail in loud environments or in the presence of other people's speech. Furthermore, because they can't accurately identify the speech signals, they distort the speech in the process of attempting to eliminate the noise. Recertified, Clean, Tested, and Warrantied. The result of this distortion is a significant degradation in intelligibility and quality in order to achieve a perceptual reduction in noise."
This was in the last paragraph of their description.
That's not even a big deal to me..just saw that from a previous reviewer right before I started writing this...My biggest concern is how I was dismissed by their support staff. I first sent an email to the Yahoo email address that said thanks for the order explaining my situation with the address goof...Instead of helping I was instructed to visit the site and fill out a ticket. No problem, I can understand how a smooth and accountable tracking system can be extremely valuable in any business, I obliged. What is pasted below is my interactions with this company. I can't tell you not to purchase from this site, I can tell you I won't again. I can't tell you that their responses to my requests for help were condescending and dismissive. I can tell you that this is how I perceived it and my perception is my reality. Thank you for taking the time to read my little rant and utilize my experience as you will. Happy reading. (I placed astericks on the end of the tracking number and that's the only modification I made to any of this information)

2/2/2009 4:28:26 PM Good Day,
I was just re-reviewing my order information and I realized I
inadvertently put the correct street number, but my previous street
name. I haven''t received an email stating my order was shipped so I''m
hoping it hasn''t and I''m able to change the address. I''m surprised
that my debit card was accepted even though the billing address was
incorrect. Anyway, if this is possible please change the street name
to S. Cranbrook Ave and NOT S. Pinecrest Ave.
Thank you for your help!

2/3/2009 9:50:52 PM OK...let me attempt this one last time...What you see below is a copy of the information provided by the USPS tracking site. As I'm sure, you can see what I see, that it states the package was shipped from Springfield MA 01152, what I'm sure neither of us see is a destination address, and I assure you that it is not provided anywhere on the USPS site.
I can understand you deal with many issues daily and because I was the cause of this one an accurate researched response may indeed be challenging. I'll attempt to make this easier. First I apologize for making an error, please forgive me. Second, If you can simply reply with a "C" to represent Cranbrook or "P" for Pinecrest indicating the street name to which my package was sent we can go about our respective lives, me with a bluetooth headset, and you with the money I've already paid for said headset.
Thank you again for your continued support.

I too, ordered a Jawbone 2 from MRB Depot. I have not received and get the same replies you get. I received a tracking # within 10 minutes of purchasing. Which they can very easily get online, then never ship...I believe we all have been scammed. I have read about others having the same problem with them. If they think I am going to give up, they have another thing coming. I am not sure what direction I am going, but they will not get away with it with me. I may contact my local TV Station, they have investigative reporters that deal with this type of stuff..
Good Luck, Lets keep each other posted.
Thanks.

OPERATION: Make Our Selves Heard (#OPMOSH)
Motorola Mobility Inc. has become famous for its lies, slanderous ways, and tendency to flat out prove time and time again that it cares not for its customers after they walk out of that store with their phone. Since the early days of Android, post Droid 1, we have sat down and took our locked bootloaders like a man. There came to be a boiling point - and a full-out war was launched on their social media sites. Sound familiar? The same thing that worked with HTC and now with Asus. We received a generic "second half of 2011" timing. Guess what! It's now Q1 2012, and not only have they missed their deadline, but they have IGNORED all bootloader-related questions, given NO official announcement of their plans still being in motion, and thus must have forgotten that we are a core, dedicated community that wishes nothing more than to enjoy the phones we were given. Let's make ourselves heard again, turn the heat up, and make Moto (like HTC) get off of their asses and DO SOMETHING. Everyone counts!
Moto's Facebook - Moto's Twitter - Petition
TRY TWEETING:
@Motorola - How about those unlocked bootloaders you promised second half of 2011? @HTC cares, do you? http://moto.ly/icsboot
TRY POSTING ON THEIR FACEBOOK WALL:
@Motorola - I'm a faithful Motorola customer, and I'm starting to have second thoughts. Honor what Android stands for, openness, and give us the bootloader unlock tool that you promised "second-half of 2011". http://moto.ly/icsboot #OPMOSH
MAKE SURE TO SIGN THE PETITION AS WELL:
We'll be throwing this Moto's way after we get enough signatures.
We NEED to be heard to get anywhere. Spread the word to your Facebook friends, your Twitter friends, your Google Talk friends, your favorite Android news site... Spread the word! Bring freedom to the Android ecosystem, like Andy Rubin and Rich Miner intended.
Thank you SO much for your support. This community is amazing and I know our endeavors will be successful. See you on Moto's Facebook!

To Whom It May Concern,
The independent communities that you catered to with your announcement earlier last year are very very excited for your bootloader unlock solution. However, the "second half" of 2011 has come and gone quietly; why is it that the public has received no notice that the bootloader unlock solution is still in works? A small-scale petition has made its rounds about the Android community, and has already gained over 200 signatures about 4 hours after being made public, without the help of any news sites (yet): http://www.change.org/petitions/motorola-mobility-inc-unlock-all-smartphone-bootloaders-2
Clearly, the demand is still quite strong (as can be seen on your social media networks, Facebook and Twitter), and it would be quite reassuring to the communities that not only pay for your devices every upgrade opportunity, but also help develop the Android operating system that we all know and love, to have an announcement that the bootloader unlock/relock solution is still on track for a timely release. This would also potentially double as reassurance to on-the-fence Galaxy Nexus/HTC smartphone buyers to go with the Motorola Droid RAZR, with its KEVLAR backing, 4G LTE speed, powerful 1.2 GHz dual core processor, and new bootloader unlock/relock solution instead. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
A Motorola Mobility Entusiast.

Signed and posted this on several FB pages:
Still waiting for an unlocked bootloader for the Defy (without plus) handset. Because there are no further Android releases from Motorola this would help very much for the support by the community.
anyone know how to get annonymous's attention? Perhaps scare tactics are in order? lol.

I did my part, but the outcome so far is not good: look at my exchange with the bozos @ moto europe (read from bottom to top, I extracted it from the last email):
Me:
Your answer, while not as clear as I hoped, falls clearly in the 2) category: Contrary to its previous declarations (yes, it means lying) and in contrast with its competitors, Motorola do not intend to provide unloackable/relockable bootloaders. This information will be transmitted to the relevant newsgroups and social networks.
In case you wonder, it is not a positive message: There is no reason for an official relockable bootloader to void the warranty (Motorola provide such a bootloader on the Xoom), and the benefit of such a bootloader is maximal after the legal waranty anyway (for devices no longer supported by Motorola but still enjoying an active developer community).
Best regards
Moto europe:
Dear Mr xxx,
Thank you for contacting Motorola.
We would like to inform you that from Motorola Customer care service we will never give any means to unlock the bootloaders since it will void your phone's warranty. If you are a developer, please contact Motodev at http://developer.motorola.com/
Kind regards,
Motorola Mobile Devices Contact Centre
Me:
Sorry, but your answer is in total contradiction with previous Motorola
declarations:
Motorola official position in 2011 (from
http://www.groubal.com/motorola-lockedencrypted-bootloader-policy/ )
Bootloaders: It’s our plan to offer an unlockable/relockable bootloader,
currently found on the Motorola XOOM, in future software releases
starting later this year, where operator and channel partners will allow
it. Going forward, check out MOTODEV, the Motorola developer network,
for the latest information.
Exclusive: Motorola RAZR will be the first phone to incorporate
Motorola’s new bootloader solution
Posted by Irwin Proud on October 21st, 2011 3:02 PM - In Carriers,
Exclusive, Modding, Phones
Another example from
http://www.facebook.com/motorolaeurope/posts/234252379967105 :
Motorola Europe @Martin Malinowski the software version featured on
Motorola RAZR has been built with an unlockable/ relockable bootloader
included. However, whether that feature is enabled is dependent on
carrier and operator partner restrictions. Thanks.
Now there are two possibilities:
1) Confirm the previous Motorola position (that bootloaders will be
unlocked starting from end-2011). In this case, an apology for the delay
and more precision as to which device will get the update when would
strongly be appreciated. Note that the carrier and operator partner
restriction does not stand in Belgium, as phones are sold without
constract and not within operator outlets.
2) Infirm the previous Motorola position, i.e. "Sorry, we lied". And let
your customers pay back this behavior as it deserve.
I would appreciate a clear answer: 1) or 2).
Thanks,
best regards,
xxx
Moto:
Dear Mr xxx,
Thank you for contacting Motorola.
We are very sorry to inform you that Motorola will not unlock any bootloaders or give any methods to do so since this practice will void the phone's warranty. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.
Kind regards,
Motorola Mobile Devices Contact Centre
Me:
Dear Motorola,
Last year you promised that, late in 2011, you will start to distrubute new bootloader solution that can be unlocked/relocked, subject to network provider veto.
In Belgium, phone are sold network-unlocked and in general electronic retail shops intead of network provider outlets. In means that the veto do not apply in any way.
Still, although we are now in the early days of 2012, we have no news of unlocked bootloaders.
Unlocked bootloaders allowing custom unsigned kernels are extremely important to the developer community, they allow experimentation and community support, while locked bootloaders with signed kernels makes the job of the community much more complicated. Note that even on a signed kernel, phone can be rooted and custom modules loaded, so the locked bootloader fail to secure the phone for the end user, while it is a huge annoyance for the dev community.
Your main competitors (HTC ans Samsung) have unlocked their bootloaders. You promised to do so. Now it is (more than) time to honor that promise.
I love my Defy, but with locked bootloaders I feel it does not have the support it desserve from the community, and having experienced the effect of a locked bootloader, it will be the last Moto device I buy if Moto do not honor its promise.
Regards,
xxx
To all, feel free to post the exchange in any media you see fit....
why motorola insists to be suborn? with its stupid answer it will lose more customers..!! why did it unlock bootloaders of other devices and refuse to find a solution for defy one ?

THIS THREAD HAS NOW BECOME AN APOLOGY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY MY REVIEW
AND FOR ANYBODY WHO HAS PURCHASED A DEVICE FROM THE SCAMMERS I NOW KNOW CLUB1941.COM TO BE
@ivivdim created a separate thread about this seller due to @OscarBlue researching the seller and finding many perculiarities about the site in question
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/experience-comments-club1941-t3043990
after reading a thread over at china-devices.com today 05/03/2015 that a user posted about receiving just a screen protector instead of a tablet and power bank
http://www.china-devices.com/Thread-Be-careful-Club-1941-com
i have now decided to amend this thread OP with an apology for any and all people who were taken in by this scammer and made a payment to them and who now have to go through the process of a dispute with paypal or their credit card company to have their funds returned
i do not know how to apologize enough for my actions in posting my review here that made all the people go and use this site and i have decided that since i am one of the few people who received a real working device that i will host a giveaway of the device i received by way of an apology for any inconvenience caused by my actions
i have asked @OscarBlue to help me with this....and if he does not then i do not blame him as i would be very angry myself if i had read the review i posted and then made a purchase with this company only to find out that they were scammers
i thank all of the people who warned me about this potentially being a scam and am sorry i did not listen to your advice and question the companies motives myself
what i have learned from this experience is to be more vigilant before jumping in at the deep end and dragging other people with me...and to do more research before commiting myself fully into such endevours in the future
please if you are interested in joining the giveaway for this device i will post a link soon here in this thread
it will be at my expense and i will pay for all shipping anywhere in the world to deliver the device to whoever receives it
this will be done as a small way of saying sorry for any hurt i may have caused anybody by my actions

He is being paid to do a review. I.e., he will get his phone refunded if the store is satisfied with his review.
The problem may be that these trial devices may be the only devices shipped from that seler.
They are selling enourmous numbers these days at very low price of cca 170$ for a 3GB version of Jiayu S3. Maybe even lower in some cases.

21 days after you made your payment the funds are normally released by paypal and the seller can do what he wants with the money, unless you file a dispute with paypal, then the funds, although they are in the sellers paypal account are put on hold, and the seller cannot access them until the dispute is ended, you can end the dispute at any time if you are happy with the sale, the seller can end the dispute at any time by issuing a refund. I ordered one of these phones from this seller and was suspicious of the website, so I opened a dispute and the seller issued a refund straight away, despite the fact that the seller said he had posted the phone and issued a tracking number, he had until 19th march to respond to the dispute but chose to refund instead, draw your own conclusions
Also the agent at paypal told me that if I didnt file a dispute and the sale later was found to be fraudulent I would still get my money back from paypal, although I wasnt told how long that would take, nor what evidence I would have to produce.
Edit... I have since found out that paypal only put a 21 day hold on your funds if you are dealing with a new seller, or if the seller has problems/disputes, otherwise the funds could go directly to the seller, unless you open a dispute.

Seems like filing a dispute is reasonable way of protecting our interests. Would you mind telling us what reason of dispute you chose and what did you write to make your statement understandable as disputing to make money freeze for more than 21 days?
I tried myself this few minutes ago but not sure what to write not to be understanded as a panicking one by PayPal service.

also everybody is entitled to their opinion and i fully agree with you that it is better to err on the side of caution...there are a lot of scammers out there i am glad that you are warning people let's just hope that they all are using paypal to purchase their devices as this is a 'safe' way of doing buisness on the internet
i myself paid with paypal and it all went very smoothly
i read over in s7ylers thread that some people had problems and were offered the chance to pay with western union...never ever pay with western union as there is no option to get your money returned to you if you do get scammed
i suppose only time will tell if this shop is legitimate or not...but me personally...i received a working fully functional Jiayu S3S which has passed the MTK droid tools test...i cannot speak for other people, but i sincerely hope that everybody gets their correct device in good time and for the same price i paid for it

I used the grounds that the item had not been received (even though it had only been ordered a matter of hours) and in the message box I just wrote, I do not believe the sellers website to be genuine. and then I think you are given a date that the seller has to respond by, in my case 19 march, i believe if you need to extend the dispute beyond that date, you have to escalate the dispute before that date is reached, I'm not entirely sure about that as I didnt get that far, as I got my refund right away.

i cannot speak for the seller on their reasons for why they instantly refunded you your money, but you are correct in that paypal WILL refund your money if you do not receive the device or if it appears to be fake, the evidence would be the paypal payment that you made, tracking number given to you by the seller, and also any email interaction between the two of you so my advice would be to contact the seller and strike up a conversation talking about the device and delivery method, and payment, also a screen shot of your account details with the item in question from the seller would also be good
these will all contribute to you receiving your payment back from paypal...hope this helps.....
edit: forgot to mention connect the device to mtk droid tools either record this from receipt of the item at your door till the spec info pops up on droid tools or just take a screen shot

i am sure i have already received an email from Club1941.Com advising me of returning my payment for the review...so my payment is the device for taking the time to help their sales by making the above review

Congratulations mrsim, you have done well, if you google 'club1941.com review' you come top of the pile, you know why? because you are the only person who has ever received anything from that site, They must have thousands of orders by now, but they're still sending them out, must have massive stocks I guess, odd how some of the other suppliers seem to be having difficulty obtaining this device, must be their massive buying power, as a worldwide Wholesale/retail outlet, with years of growth behind them(from their 'about us ' page) just google the name and you'll get some idea of their history, except it only goes back to January of this year, never mind, check out the glowing reviews for the 600 odd items for sale on the site, strange the only items with reviews are the Jiayu S3 2 and 3gb versions, oh and they dont seem to be proper reviews either, never mind I'm sure it'll be ok, at least you can claim your money back from paypal.
there's none so blind as those who will not see
Congratulations oscarblue48. You got your money back. what was the dispute you had again please ? What would Paypal do if they did'nt have people like you ?
Surely this seller has done nothing wrong yet so why not give him a chance ? Its not thousands of phones anyway judging by his order numbers its more like 30-40 per day. Also his address is Shenzen so maybe his brother or wife works in Jiayu or there could be thousands of reasons why he has access to phones. fact is the S3advanced has been released and reason most of Aliexpress sellers havent got them yet is they are not yet back to work after New Year.
BTW thanks Mrsim for another great review for what is obviously a great phone.
Oh the only connection to Club1949 I have is I got a tracking no for my purchase S3 advanced from both Paypal and club1949 so no dispute until I have something to dispute about.
Geting a bit feisty in here...is there some 'history' that I am not aware of as a newcomer? At the very least this can be a thread about club1941.com so the main thread can be left to the actual phone.
Yes it seems silly cheap, but there is still that PayPal safety net, which you don't have at dhgate etc. It reminds me of a site called mionbuy.com -cheaper than all the others I could see BUT no PayPal which is why I didn't buy from there. I still cannot see why they would offer PayPal knowing that if everyone complains(which they will in the event of a scam) they won't see any money. Unless they have found a way to defraud people via PayPal-does anyone know if this can be done ?
So who is sticking with it and who is baling?
---------- Post added at 02:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:48 AM ----------
And more to the point, instead of pointing out a site is too cheap , why not scrutinise somewhere like efox which effectively rips people off by simply erasing $, then printing €, and THEN they have the barefaced cheek to charge for shipping! Then you might have no choice to buy an sd card! And people buy from there! Mindboggling.
seems like a pretty honest review to me so well done for scoring a free phone! I'm not bailing just yet as surely we are protected by paypal aren't we?
was surprised to see there is no led notification as thought that was pretty standard these days and also disappointed about the poor camera(expected better) and not so good twin speakers as I chose this phone partly because having 2 speakers must be better than just one! maybe I will bail and change my order to the ecoo aurora also with twin speakers but mounted on the bottom bezel not the rear so should project the sound slightly better, might save another $10 as well
As I was searching the Internet today I came across this! Can anyone verify it??

For some reason I have my doubts about this. Not just that, but there is no link anywhere, just screenshots, which can be easily faked. This kind of thing happens in the gaming console arena all the time. People just do it for attention. Until a recognized developer we KNOW (on here preferrably......hsbadr????) can confirm this, Im going to rule it as fake.

Although, he has some petty good video of startup, reboot, and maintaining root...as well as showing root checker etc. so time will tell.
The guys a FRAUD. The XDA mods locked down his thread cause he was posting lies about permanent root which he willfully failed to show verity upon request. He is only looking for attention by means of "Thanks." pay him no attention. He's a troll. lol
Farse
This looks like a waste of time...delete.
So there is no reliable system yet to root the Note 4?
They way most of you have been treating and talking about this guy, if I were him and really did have the solution, I'd say "eff ya".

Agreed. I don't understand why everyone is so uppity. What's the harm in just being patient and having a "wait and see" attitude, instead of calling him a fraud and dropping the ban hammer just because he hasn't revealed details yet. Unless we know for certain that he hasn't achieved root, then I don't think we should push him away, even if we don't like his methods. Keep in mind that there is a language barrier here also, so there may be some misunderstanding.
He already said many times he wasn't going to release it. He said it would hurt his business and Samsung would patch it.
Which translates to I've found something that will work on many Samsung devices so if I release it I won't be able to use it to make money in my business, because having a solution for only the Verizon note 4 is not going to do his business much good as he is from outside US.

All you have to do is look at his past post. He did the same thing with an LG device. Posting he has achieved root when he had not. When the mods finally asked him to provide proof he declined to answer. When he's been contacted on his site, his number, etc, etc, he declines to answer the question and left the LG community it's in a complete disarray. We don't need people posting root achieved notices just to get their thanks scores higher. The Note 4 community it's has been thru enough already. And if it was going to hurt his business to release the method, then why release I've achieved root. No thanks, the guys a complete fraud.
I can appreciate that reasoning, thanks.
Here a genuine question, not trying to be argumentative:
How is this situation with vnmobile different than the video posted showing the Galaxy S5 bootloader unlock?
http://www.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5-bootloader-has-been-unlocked/
It appears that this dev (beaups) does not plan to release his methods either, yet he is not treated with the same disdain as vnmobile. Granted it appears that beaups has earned respect previously, but at the end of the day the same question remains: what is the purpose of sharing the video?
This guy definitely a fraud. His real name is Ngoc Vu and he's running a business selling tech equipments in Vietnam. Let me throw a few things on the table here.
1) Language barrier issue - Nope I speak his language and had visit his website and his facebood page. Just full of shi...
2)Hurt his business if he released the root fix? Another bull sh... 2 ways he could make money. a) release the fix and collect over 20k cash from XDA b) Offer a service to root the phone with a fee. Guess what? none existed.
Summary - he just want to drive traffic to his web site, and make his business more visible to the world specially XDA where everyone interested in cell phone/tablet and electronic equipments. Case closed!
i just saw this post. And i confirmed he is a Vietnamese guys. like me. ^^
But i am so surprise, because he used the Booloader and ROM from "hsbadr" of XDA forum.
- This is the post of HERO "hsbadr" (By hsbadr, Recognized Developer / Recognized Contributor on 13th August 2015, 10:46 PM) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...nt/firmware-safe-upgrade-to-lollipop-t3178148

Bro, I am having the same situation as you. I have taken to twitter to bashing realme and concerned people for not delivering on their promised tools for customer. Numerous complaints have been raised about the bootloader locking issue. And realme hasn't yet given a look at it. Yet they are focussing on promotions and newer products. This is outrageous.
I have seen people with access to this tool but they wont give it for free (whatsApp +919289915006): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5tuhX0ufiY
