Hi all , I have a WiFi problem with my HOX.
WiFi and data will automatically turn off between 12:00am and 7:00am. I have already set the WiFi always on when the screen is off. However the WiFi still turn off automatically.
Now , I am using the tasker to fix this issues , but the tasker is drain my battery. How can I fix it without using tasker ?
Please help me
Thank you
So you're saying that between 00:00 - 07:00 am your wifi won't work?

No , I mean , my HOX will automatically turn off my WiFi and network data during 00:00 - 07:00am
Do you have any Battery saving apps on your HOX? I know you can set tasks in these apps to do so.
On the other hand I can only say that there either will be a problem with a setting somewhere. So try checking all system settings. Even tho it sounds kinda strange.... What Rom you running on & kernel?
---------- Post added at 11:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:59 AM ----------
This can also be a Wakelock issue . Your phone will notice that you ain't using your wifi (While asleep) and then it'll shut it off....

Well first of all, but not really related to the question you have... Don't use the facebook app ,it uses way too much resources and wakes your phone too much!
But related to your wifi issue:
You're still on JellyBean... Is that a personal choice? Don't you update your phone? Or you didn't bother trying to?
I recommend updating your phone or either flash a custom ROM . This fixed my bad connection issue with my WiFi , I was on KitKat 4.4.2 which happened to be the problem-bringer

Thank you for your help , I had solved my wifi issue , I just restore the rom via nandroid backup and the problem is gone. I still on JellyBean because I love the layout of sense 4 more than sense 5 and AOSP. I want to upgrade to 4.4.x , however I can't find any 4.4.x rom is using sense 4 layout. Do you have any suggestion of sense 4 rom ? Thank you very much
Glad to hear that
I'm sorry I don't think anyone has made this before...
Most Rom's use sense 5.0

Have Cyanogen Mod installed, constantly have 4 bars of 3G data in Brooklyn, NY.
Whenever I'm using the phone in hand, the data shuts off every 10 to 45 minutes. The only way to bring it back on reliably is to go into the settings, turn off data, put it into airplane mode, wait a few seconds, then turn it back to normal mode.
There's no "data" toggle on the top-screen slide-down applet, so this is kind of a pain in the ass to do every single time this happens.
Has anyone else experienced this and/or solved it?
I have had this on my EVO, and it may just be the ROM. I have not ran CM b/c the other ROM's that are based off CM have more features like a notification toggle for data, which would help you.
I recommend doing a full wipe and re-install of the ROM. You can use Titanium Backup to save everything and restore everything. It should be like nothing changed, and hopefully it fixes that bug. If not, maybe resort do a different version of CM or ROm altogether.
Best of luck with this, it is annoying, but not the worst problem you can get (on the bright side).

Its still in the nightly stage and has this, as well as plenty of other problems but they are getting fixed so give it time and try the newest nightlys

Hello Everyone,
Problem: Set up a word password for the lock screen, forgot the password, entered as many times what I could try to remember, couldn't remember it at all, forgot password option never appeared. Had data on sdcard so didn't care if I'm going to hard reset the phone.
From CWM Recovery 6.0.1.2 did the following ( a lot of times ) : wipe data/factory reset , wipe cache partition , format /system, format /cache, format /data, format /sdcard, format /external_sd as well ( different card ). Rebooted. Everything seemed normal, initial setup, google account, date/time, location/gps. browsing through the phone until the 30seconds backlight timeout passed and screen went off. I press unlock/power button and viola, password prompt back again. WTF ? I DID everything.. did the same thing again, this time, after the initial setup, did samsung's code *2767*3855#, started automatically doing factory reset. again after this, initial setup and still password prompt. did this again, went into settings and change screen lock, and it said to enter password. Seeing that's not helping, downloaded a stock rom, and flashed it through odin 4.43. everything seemed good until again went to screen lock settings and same thing. after screen went black, the same thing.
rooted again, installed cwm, flashed custom rom bagux-project-rom-v1.4, seemed good until went to settings and prompt there as well as screen went black turned it on and prompt again.
gbsIII rom - same problem
cow rom - same problem
ehndroix 12.9.13 - same problem
f.a.w. ris4 - same problem all these roms based on 2.3.6/2.3.7
flashed ancora_signed(cyanogenmod) - NO PROBLEM
flashed cm-9 experimental - NO PROBLEM
flashed RemICS_1.7 - NO PROBLEM
Problem is that I really want ENERGY SAVING OPTIONS because that way the battery lasted me two full days on normal/median usage, texting calling wifi and 3G. ICS DO NOT HAVE THIS AND therefore my battery on the same type of activity lasts not even a day.
ALSO, Somehow, wifi drastically downgraded it's performance meaning it takes really long to turn on, sometimes scans sometimes doesn't, when there is 100% a signal in one spot, it won't find it at all, and other time it will and the worse part is that when it connects, and connection is, ip and everything good, internet doesn't work. < this only on ICS or cyanogenmod. < but this is not what I'm concerned about. Just saying if It might help.
I don't know what to do anymore... I'm not a noob at this because I have rooted MYSELF and flashed roms and other stuff to Samsung Gio Samsung Galaxy S II and Htc Desire-Z (a7272) and now I have my wonder I8150 and this is just SHOCKING TO ME. I really did not expect something like this...
it looks like something easy to fix however on the other side..i don't know.. maybe I am not doing an extra step ?
Please, I really need assistance..
So let me get this straight. You couldn't get rid of your lockscreen in any GB rom, then decided to flash an ICS rom and it worked but you want to save battery. Then you discovered the wifi problem and you don't know what to do. Right?

So because you didn't reply as fast as i thought, i will just answer what i understood.
1-about your lockscreen problem, this is might be because of a restore you previously set to automatic. I actually don't have any other reason cuz this just never happened to me or ever heard of it.
2- And about the power saving you want to have in ICS. I have tried that build-in power saver, it doesn't work as well as some other power savers from the playstore.
Adding to (2) i don't use any power saver cuz they just turn down your phone's speed to save battery. I use setcpu (app from playstore) to create different profiles that work in different times (like when screen is off speed goes down as i don't need it and when screen is on speed comes back up).
3- The wifi problem you only noticed in ICS because its a bug in arco's kernel which almost every JB/ICS kernel is based on, but don't worry arco will soon find a cure. But until then, when this happens just long press the wifi icon in the statusbar and it will open the wifi settings, which will start an automatic search and connect from there.
Sorry for not waiting, i'm still 15 and have a test tomorrow and highschool life to worry about

Hey &Amada
Thanks for replying and to my response time, I just got home, lol..
The problem I have is with the lockscreen (password prompt). if I flash a stock or custom gb rom, the lockscreen ( password prompt )turns on after the screen turns black ( after 30 seconds ) and returning to the "restore / backup , I didn't set it all, it was already ticked, the automatic part, on every gb rom too and worse was I couldn't untick it...
Right now I have ICS ancora beta 3 and there is a "performance" tab in settings before "about phone" and in thereis processor - change cpu governor and clock speed and types like consevative ondemand performance interactive powersave and minimum cpu frequency and max and set on boot. If setting a lower clock when screen is off would improve my battery or at least I would notice it then I would go for it but here's a great example. right now, on ics, when i take out the usb charger cable from phone, the second i take it out, 100% drops to 99%. in gb rom, stayed on 100% for about 30minutes minimum. just comparing. and this is on the same usage.
I went to a service guy, which my friend from school knows and recommendem I'm 18 btw and in high school as well and he said it might be faulty cache ( the memory part ) because it's similar to people's dead sdcards in phones and password prompts appear for them and the phone interprets it as a security exploit or break and therefore takes it as a password prompt.
& to the wifi, it's not a big problem, but it is annoying.

Okay, maybe you could go back to gb or JB i am using pacman and it rocks i didn't face the wifi problem since flashed.
But if you really want to go back to gb here is my suggestion:
You said that after you flashed gb with sometime, the lockscreen comes back. So just as soon as you reboot from flashing just install a lock screen replacement from the market or such. And make sure they can be toggled in the accessibility section of the settings. That way it will automatically disable the lockscreen even if it comes back

Hey, I tried "MyLock utilities" but it did not work.. apps aren't an answer to keep bypassing the screen lock all the time.. I don't get why the phone "remembers" the password even though it's formatted... faulty memory ?
I have just upgraded to the 4.2.2. Sense 5 stock rom.
When I start the camera it crashes after about one second.
I have tried to clear the cache and delete the data from the Camera app. Didn't help.
I have tried to reset to factory settings. Didn't help.
I have tried other Camera apps, and they work fine. Camera worked before the upgrade aswell.
Do anyone got any ideas what to do to get the stock camera app working?
Thanks in advance.
I've got the same problem over here.
HOX (Vodafone Branding) with 4.2.2 and Sense 5.
Yesterday (4.1 and Sense 4+) my camera app worked fine.
But after the update the normal camera quits after about 1 second. PixlrExpress and Instagram do their job.
Safe-mode and deleting data of the app didn't help.
Thanks for every helpful tip
I have the same problem after upgrading my HOX to 4.2/Sense 5, lets hope that they will fix it fast!

damn... i think it has something to do with my broken g-sensor.. maybe it's time to send my baby to HTC
I also got a broken g sensor and I already tried to turn off autorotation but that didnt help for me.
Is there another setting which could help?
I made another factory reset and made sure that all the synching and restore of old setting were disabled. Then the camera worked again.
So your g sensor should also work again, right?
I didn't check it if worked or not. But it does work now.

You Made my Day, I have been searching since the past 3 days over the internet on how to solve this auto rotate issues.
I did the first method you have given and it works like a charm. I am very happy now to see auto rotate back on my phone.

So a couple of weeks ago my motor went out, completely dead. Then a couple of days ago it would come back for like 6 secs then it would go away. Is there a trick that I can do for it to make it stick? I don't really want another device because I have already paid over 100 in the past to s-off my previous phone lol. I know I could probably have it sent in but I can't be without a phone due to my job. Thanks guys
Have you used the HTC test mode to toggle and test the individual parts of the device ?
You mentioned s-off...which obviously means you have flashed software and/or firmware to the device..
That being said....a test session on the device may reveal a working motor....but your current software or OS condition may be causing a failure...
Another area you should check is powersave mode...when enabled will shut down your vibration mode...
Yet another area to check...
If rooted and running any application that affects battery or usage of the battery can trigger a false power save...
Wakelocks can also cause running issues..
A lot to ponder there...but a few areas need to be looked at before we decide that your device is defective...especially if it's modified at all...g

Could you tell us the current software you are running ??

Oh I have run the test, it won't vibrate. If I shake the device and run the test it will vibrate for a few seconds. Ugh.. I'm trying to get over it lol
Dang...
Looks like your homework is done on it..
Could be a genuine failure...
One last option...if you like a lot of work....lol
Flash a bone stock RUU...and you'll know for sure...
I did that last week when my prox sensor freaked out...
It was a dirty flash...and the reflash fixed it..
This M9 is the most finicky device I've ever used...
Your call of course...g
It's just the motor. I've read about loads of faulty ones especially on launch devices.
Mine works but barely. You can't ever feel it in your pocket or hear it if it vibrates on a table or anything.
For a flagship device....that motor should be a forever working deal...
HTC went cheap on several parts in this device it would seem...g
I just sent mine in for this. Covered by warranty they said. Supposedly they aren't going to use my uh oh replacement

Hallo
i installed this v11 rom and could not find any problems
everything works fine
using this for a day now. it's so smooth and arguably even better than the stock miui 10 global. no bugs till now. just a little issue is, when you scroll, it slightly becomes too much responsive. like when you stop your finger from scrolling, the page still goes on a little bit, not noticeable tho.
Got this phone for my mom. She's happy with it.
Hey, is it Android 10 based? If not, I'll rather wait for Q based build of MIUI11.

UPDATE : the charging is a bit slow compared to miui 10 and also i only get 5 to 5 and half hours of sot. battery backup is not that good.
11.0.1.0 reuploaded.
The only issue i've had with this ROM is that "Do Not Disturb" doesn't switch off at the selected time. Everything else works absolutely fine. Waaaay better than the official ROM from Xiaomi.
for do not disturp download DND++ out the playstore install it
then it works fine
read the instuctions
Does the battery performance improve?
How Many screen hours do You get?
so, i flashed this rom but i got a bootloop, why?
i have the Redmi 7 Global (onc)
Very slow charging and miui 10 was faster for my redmi 7 2GB ram.
mostly working good, i'm using it from day one ( 10 october )
2 main issues :
- battery life is way worst same miui 10, before at least 10-12h of battery ( intense usage, youtube + gaming ), now 8h maximum
- wifi is **** now , sometime deconnect without reason , but worst some time app loose wifi connexion : phone is still connected to wifi and if i switch app internet will work, but in the current app internet is not working, it is very frustrating using youtube connected to a chromecast for example , where i set a 10+ video playlist and sometime i cannot change video from the phone because youtube has no longer wifi connexion and cant connect to the chromecast, i'm sure at 100% that miui 11 introduce this bug , never happend before with miui 10, it happend with all king of app ( youtube is just the main example but with games and other app its the same ), and its not my wifi at home because with other phone i never have this issue

can confirm bug exist with mobile data too.
battery life is even worst than my last post, no new app, battery at 100% at 8am the morning -> dead before lunch
edit : new issue with the screen
if i let a game idling for more than 30 seconds, touch is disabled on the screen ( its like the pocket mode is enable ) , i must spam the screen to re activated it

Same here.
Redmi 7 Global _2GB
Unlocked .. Booted into TWRP .. Mounted all.. Wiped userdata, then wiped Dalvil+Data+Internal+Cache.
Then installed rom..
Now bootloop.
I can still go to TWRP.
Any ideas?

Regarding all the bootloops after flashing this. Just flash magisk 20.1 and it'll boot after ~5minutes.
Look into the earlier thread:
